yExaminethepowerwirescarefully,replacethemimmediatelyifthereisanydamage.
yUnit’ssurfacetemperaturemayreachupto85℃.DONOTtouchthehousingbare‐handed
duringitsoperation,andallowabout15minutesforcoolingtheunitdownbeforereplacing
bulbormaintenanceasitcouldbeveryhot.

Toselectanyofthegivenfunctions,presstheMENUbuttonuptowhentherequiredoneis
showingonthedisplay.SelectthefunctionbyENTERbuttonandthedisplaywillblink.UseDOWN
andUPbuttontochangethemode.Oncetherequiredmodehasbeenselected,PressENTER
buttontostore.BacktothemainfunctionswithoutanychangepresstheMENUbuttonorwaitfor
8seconds.
HoldMENUbuttontoquitmenumode,theunitwillrunthebuilt‐inprogramyouselected.

4.ControlByUniversalDMXController
4.1DMX512Connection
1. Atlastunit,theDMXcablehastobeterminatedwithaterminator.Soldera120ohm1/4 W
resistorbetweenpin2(DMX‐)andpin3(DMX+)intoa3‐pinXLR‐plugandplugitinthe
DMX‐outputofthelastunit.
2. Connecttheunittogetherina`daisychain`byXLRplugfromtheoutputoftheunittothe
inputofthenextunit.Thecablecannotbranchedorsplittoa`Y`cable.DMX512isavery
high‐speedsignal.Inadequateordamagedcables,solderedjointsorcorrodedconnectorscan
easilydistortthesignalandshutdownthesystem.
3. TheDMXoutputandinputconnectorsarepass‐throughtomaintaintheDMXcircuit,when
powerisdisconnectedtotheunit.
4. Eachlightingunitneedstohaveanaddresssettoreceivethedatasentbythecontroller.The
addressnumberisbetween0‐511(usually0&1areequalto1).
5. TheendoftheDMX512systemshouldbeterminatedtoreducesignalerrors.
6. 3pinXLRconnectorsaremorepopularthan5pinXLR.

IfyouuseauniversalDMXcontrollertocontroltheunits,youhavetosetDMXaddressfrom1to
512sothattheunitscanreceiveDMXsignal.
PressMENUbuttontoentermenumode,selectDMXAddress,pressENTERbuttontoconfirm,the
presentaddresswillblinkonthedisplay,useUPandDOWNbuttontoadjusttheaddressfrom0to
512,pressENTERbuttontostore.PressMENUbuttonbacktothelastmenuorlettheunitidle

5.Troubleshooting
Followingareafewcommonproblemsthatmayoccurduringoperation.Herearesome
suggestionsforeasytroubleshooting:
A.Theunitdoesnotwork,nolightandthefandoesnotwork
1.Checktheconnectpowerandmainfuse.
2.Measurethemainsvoltageonthemainconnector.
3.CheckthepoweronLEDtoseeifitcanbelightupornot.
B.NotrespondingtoDMXcontroller
1.DMXLEDshouldbeon.Ifnot,checkDMXconnectors,cablestoseeiftheyarelinkedproperly.
2.IftheDMXLEDisonandnoresponsetothechannel,checktheaddresssettingsandDMX
polarity.
3.IfyouhaveintermittentDMXsignalproblems,checkthepinsonconnectorsoronPCBofthe
unitorthepreviousone.
4.TrytouseanotherDMXcontroller.
5.ChecktoseeiftheDMXcablesrunnearorrunalongsidetohighvoltagecablesthatmaycause
damageorinterferencetoDMXinterfacecircuit.
C.Oneofthechannelsisnotworkingwell
1.ThesteppermotormightbedamagedorthecableconnectedtothePCBisbroken.
2.Themotor’sdriveIConthePCBmightbeoutofcondition.
D.Thelampiscuttingoutintermittently
1.Thelampisnotworkingwell.Checkthemainsvoltageeithertoohighortoolow.
2.Internaltemperaturemaybetoohigh.Checkifreplacementoffanisneededonthehead.
