INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CR Series Troffers 220-240V
CR14, CR24, CR22 Architectural Troffer
Including: 300x1200mm, 600x1200mm, 600x600mm Luminaires
STEP 1:
Unpack the CR troffer from its shipping container.
STEP 2:
Place the CR troffer into the T bar ceiling panel.
Assembly should fit tight and not need fasteners. See
Figure 1.
STEP 3:
Locate electrical junction box. Remove junction
box cover to access the luminaire’s power wiring
terminal block. See Figure 2.
STEP 4:
Using a screw driver blade, remove appropriate
wiring knockout from junction box. Connect
customer supplied power conduit to Junction
box using appropriate customer supplied conduit
fittings. See Figure 2.
STEP 5
If luminaire has a dimming option using a screw
driver blade, remove appropriate knockout from
the junction box. Connect customer supplied
dimming conduit to Junction box using appropriate
customer supplied conduit fittings. See Figure 2.
STEP 6:
Install appropriate customer supplied wiring into
conduits and luminaire’s junction box.
TO INSTALL:
• TheCRSeriesofrecessedtroffersisfornon-insulatedceilingapplicationsonly,usingT-Barceilinggrid.
• Designedforuseon220-240V,50-60Hzprotectedcircuits(fusebox,circuitbreaker).Recommendedsupplywireintoluminaireis1.5mm2to
2.5mm2strandedorsolid,rated90°Corhigher.
• SupplywireforbranchcircuitsizedinaccordancewithNationalandLocalelectricalwiringcodesrated90°Corhigher.

1. Beforeinstallingthisluminaireordoinganymaintenance,make sure to
turnoffthepoweratthecircuitbreakerorfusebox.
2. Donothandleenergizedmodulewithwethandsorwhenstandingonwet
ordampsurfaces,orinwater.
3. This luminaire must be installed in accordance with the national and
localbuildingcodesandelectricalwiringcodesincludingwiringmethods
and wiring connections. If you are not familiar with these codes and
requirements,consultaqualiedelectrician.
4. Thefollowingarenotprovided:conduit,cable,ttings,terminalblocksand
wireconnectors.RefertoCree’sRequirementsforElectricalInstallation
Materialssheetprovidedwithluminaire.
5. Luminairesuitablefordamplocations.
6. Suitableforsuspendedceilingsifaccessaboveceilingisprovided.
7. DO NOT install insulation material within 76mm (3in) of any part of
luminaire.
8. Lensportionofluminaire,intendedforroomside,issuitablefor
IP23locations.Remainderportionofluminaireisonlysuitablefor
IP20locations.
9. When looping-in the Mains supply wiring for connecting multiple
luminaires,DONOTexceedthe16AMPratingoftheluminaireterminal
block

STEP 7:
NOTE: Refer to Cree’s Requirements for Electrical Installation Material
sheet provided with luminaire. Terminal block and wire connectors
are not provided.
Make electrical connections per “ELECTRICAL CONNECTION”
section and secure wiring into place using customer supplied cable
ties.
STEP 8:
Push all wires back into the junction box and re-install the junction box
cover ensuring no wires are pinched.
