Description
The Quad Dock Ethernet is a docking station that provides charging and Ethernet
connectivity functionality for four i.roc Ci70 –Ex mobile computers. It is designed for use
exclusively outside of hazardous locations.
Driver
In order to work correctly, a driver has to be installed on all of the i.roc Ci70 –Ex mobile
computers which enables this functionality. The necessary files can be downloaded
from the DOWNLOADS section of the following website: www.iroc-ci70.com

This driver replaces the original USB client functionality to connect to ActiveSnyc or
WMDC with Ethernet functionalities. A user interface or settings menu is not applicable.
Instead, the following three tools will be installed:
• LaunchActiveSync
After starting this tool, the Ethernet functionality of the USB port will be reset to USB
Active Sync for the next connection. This will help to connect Ethernet enabled units to
standard PC´s via USB.
• PocketPing
A small tool which allows testing the validity of the Ethernet connection via ping another
network device.
• runFTPServer
To transfer files to the units without ActiveSync an FTP server can be started temporarily.
After starting this tool further information can be displayed. In order to connect, open a
File Explorer on a PC and type the following into its address bar:

StatusLED
The Quad Dock Ethernet is equipped with four status LED – located at the back of the
dock. They are aligned in an opposite order than usual to make it easier to determine
the status of each port.
LED Color LED State Meaning
Red Solid Error or not ready
Amber Solid Ready to connect
Green / Amber Alternating Attempting to connect
Green Solid Connected
Green Blinking Activity
The white LED on the computer cup has the following meaning:

equipment.
