1 — PLINTH INSTALLATION
FIG 1.1 (SINGLE PIECE PLINTH)
Install levelers into the plinth.
Note: Extra (T) M10 x 13mm insert included with the hardware.
FIG 1.3 (MULTI-MODULE PLINTH)
Installations combining multiple modules that do not have a common
plinth are joined by installing (Q) USPT Joiner Plates (2 per seam) to the
underside of the adjoining plinths using (L) #8 x 3/4" Phillips Pan Head
screws (8 per plate).
Note: Height-Adjustable/Cantilever modules plinths require a 1-1/16" gap.
All other modules will require a 3/16" gap. All cases should be ush in nal
installation.

Tip: Be sure to account for the plinths of all modules. If a side access tower
option is present, the clearance of the pull out in the open position must be
accounted for.
FIG 1.2 (MULTI-PIECE PLINTH)
Install and tighten (O) ZIPBOLT TIGHT JOINT CONNECTORS (2 per seam) to
the top side of the plinth.
Once secured and tightened, Flip the plinth and install (Q) USPT Joiner Plates
(2 per seam) to the underside of the plinth using (L) #8 x 3/4" Phillips Pan
Head screws (8 per plate).


FIG 2.1 (CASE PLACEMENT)
Tip: For easier assembly, remove all case doors, drawers and any Cantilever
Case removable panels. Removeable panels are labeled with stickers. To be
reassembled later.

Check the location of the cases on the plinth. The front and sides of the
plinth must be inset 1".
Note: If a Tower option is to be present, be sure to account for that
measurement.

Refer to product labels and page 5 for component location.
Place the lower case assemblies onto the plinth.
If a cantilever or height-adjustable case option is present, start with aligning
the bolt heads on the bottom of these cases with the holes of the plinth first.
Do not install tower options during this step. To be installed later. (Fig 4.1)

Attach the cases together using the predrilled holes and (I) #8 x 1-1/4"
Phillips Pan Head wood screws.

Attach the cabinets to the plinth using (I) #8 x 1-1/4" Phillips Pan Head wood
screws starting with the cantilever case (if present).
If the cantilever case is present, be sure to use the additional screws (4x) on
the front edge of the cantilever bottom plate.
Note: Conrm that the case modules are still level following connection.

Pull the case and plinth subassembly away from the wall to access the
backsides of the cabinets.
Attach the Cabinet Support Posts to the backs of the cases using the
predrilled holes and (L) #8 x 3/4" Phillips Pan Head wood screws. The outer
most support posts use the cabinet predrills that are farther away from
the module end panel. Support posts spanning cabinet seams will use the
predrilled holes closer to the module end panel. (Fig 3.2).
Note: Cabinet Support Posts should be checked for level before
fully securing.

Note: For Freestanding see Freestanding Installation Addendum.
Place the Fence Post Wall Connection Bracket and Wall Support Anchor
on the wall and attach. It may be necessary to slide the assembly away
from the wall.
The Wall Support Anchor (CMM-1041) MUST be anchored to a stud using
either (B) 3/8 X 2" Hex Lag Bolt (wood stud) or (M) 1/4 X 2" Hex Lag Bolt
(metal stud).
Note: Wall Support Anchor may be located anywhere along the preinstalled
connection bracket of the cantilever case. (see Fig 3.6)
Connecting the Fence Post to the wall using the Wall Connection Bracket is
optional and does not require connection to stud.
Wall Fence Post anchor hardware not provided for this step. Toggles are
recommended.

height of preinstalled connection bracket on back of cantilever cabinet (see
Fig 3.6 detail view). Attach the Wall Support Anchor Connection Plate to the
Wall Support Anchor using 2x(K) 3/8-16 x.625" Serrated Hex Head bolts.
Tip: Do not fully tighten. Location of the connection plate may require
adjustment prior to complete installation.

Loosely attach the Cabinet Support Post/Wall Connection Brackets
(L-brackets) to the outer most Cabinet Support Posts using (C) 5/16 x 7/8"
Hex Serr Flange Bolts and then locate the anchor point on the wall.
Note: Anchor hardware is not provided for this step. Toggles are
recommended. Cabinet Support Posts do not require connection to a stud.
FIG 3.6 (WALL SUPPORT ANCHOR CONNECTION PLATE)
Bolt the Wall Support Anchor Connection Plate to the preinstalled steel
bracket on the back of the cantilever case assembly using (K) 3/8 x 5/8"
Flanged Hex Head Bolts. The connection plate maybe located anywhere
along the steel bracket. Tighten all bolts of the connection plate.
At this time it is advised to feed power unit cords and light cords to the cases.
(See LED Light Installation Guide Addendum.)

Ensure that the 2x 5/16 x 7/8" Hex Bolts have not loosened in shipping.
These bolts should be tight against the Column Retention Plate.

Locate the wall panel that will be at the end of the installation. Install the (E)
Hafele Button Fix Button using (L) #8 x 3/4" Philips Pan Head screws before

Note: It is recommended to feed any LED wires to the cantilever case and
connect them to the splitter at this time.
To ease installation, install the wall panels by placing them against the
Cabinet Support Posts. Begin with the center wall panels and work outward.
Wall panels are attached at the top of the Cabinet Support Posts with (A)
1/4-20 x 3/4" Hex Serr Flange Bolts and (P) 1/4 x .276/2.96" ID x .620/.640"
OD Flat Washers. Not all inserts will be used.
CAUTION: Do not stand on cabinets during installation.

Locate and attach the Tower to the plinth and the adjoining case using
the predrilled holes and 9x (I) #10 x 1-1/4" Phillips Pan Head screws at
this time.
Note: Run power at this time. See LED Light Installation Guide Addendum.

If lighting is present, feed any LED wires to the cantilever case and connect them
to the splitter at this time. (See LED Light Installation Guide Addendum.)
FIG 6.1 (COMMON TOP ATTACHMENT)



Apply pressure to the top, pushing it against the work wall, and attach
using the predrilled holes inside of the cases and (I) #8 x 1-1/4" Phillips Pan
Head screws.
For height-adjustable options, install the Column Grommets (CMM-1004)
using the double-sided tape that is preinstalled on the grommet to cover the
column opening.

Attach the Column Cover Panel (CMM-1021) shroud to the Cantilever
Weldment underside using 4x (J) 1/4-20 x 1/2" Philips Pan Head screws and
the provided predrilled holes.

If a height-adjustable top is present, feed power through the wire
management hole located behind the Cantilever Weldment at this time.

FIG 6.4 (OPTIONAL UTILITY TRAY)
Install the Power Unit into the Utility Tray using the screws provided
with the unit.
Feed the power cord through the cutout and locate the Utility Tray on the
worksurface, centered and squared over the cutout. Route the power cord
on the underside of the worksurface using the provided wire channel. Secure
the Utility Tray to the worksurface from the underside using the provided
predrilled holes and 2x (I) #8 x 1-1/4" Philips Pan Head screws.

Note: An additional 2x (D) M8 x 25mm Hex Head are to be installed on the
backside of xed height columns.

Carefully place the worksurface top into position on the
Cantilever Weldment.

Align the worksurface inserts with the cantilever weldment and attach using
2x (A) 1/4-20 x 3/4" Hex Flange Bolts.
Check alignment again and secure the worksurface to the cantilever
weldment with 12x (N) #10 x 1" Truss SQ/Phil TY17B screws.
Check worksurface top is level. If required, adjust leveling using the leveling
rod located behind the column in the lower case. (Fig 3.7)
Height-adjustable option – Attach power supply and digital handset to the
work surface at this time. Digital handset should be mounted towards the
wall side of the worksurface.
Note: Expect approximately 1-1/2" of clearance between the worksurface
backside and the wall panels.
If Utility Tray and height-adjustable column are present, feed the power

cord is not pinched between the worksurface and metal frame.

Install Weldment Cover Panel by hooking the front edge over the Cantilever
Weldment and engaging the magnets.
If height-adjustable option is present, feed the power cable around the
Weldment Cover Panel (toward the wall).
FIG 7.1 (OPTIONAL LAMINATE MODESTY PANEL)
Attach 3x Modesty Panel Mounting Brackets to the Laminate Modesty Panel
using 12x (L) #8 x 3/4" Phillips Pan Head screws.
Attach the Mounting Brackets to the worksurface, against the cantilever
weldment, using 6x (N) #10 x 1" Truss Head (SCREW1) and 6x (P) 1/4"
Flat Washers.
Note: For height-adjustable tables, conrm the modesty panel will not collide
with the lower case prior to installation.

Attach 3x Modesty Panel Mounting Brackets to the Acrylic Modesty Panel
using 6x binding bolts and washers.
Attach the Mounting Brackets to the worksurface, against the cantilever
weldment, using 12x (L) #8 x 3/4" Phillips Pan Head scews.
Note: For height-adjustable tables, conrm the modesty panel will not collide
with the lower case prior to installation.

Overhead storage case can be installed over the top edge of the wall panel
using the preinstalled steel hooks. Once fully seated and centered on the
wall panel, secure using the predrilled holes on the back panel and 2x (I) #8 x
1-1/4 Phillips Pan Head screws.

10 — HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE HANDSET

Press the DOWN button on the Handset until the base reaches its lowest

If the number on the LED display does NOT match your measurement,
follow these steps:
Press and hold the DOWN button until the LED display reads "RST".
Press and hold the "M" button (about 5 seconds) until the LED displays

taken, repeat this step.) Use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the value of
the starting height so that it matches your measurement. Wait about 5
seconds and the display will return to "RST."
Finish the reset process by pressing and holding the DOWN button again
until the desk lowers a little bit more, slightly rises, and stops. Release the
button. The new starting height value is saved and your desk is now ready
to use.
Note: The LED display has a ±0.1 tolerance.

1 — FREESTANDING INSTALLATION

Freestanding application requires the addition of 2x CMM-1044 Mounting
Brackets to the cabinet directly next to the Cantilever Cabinet.

Locate the 3x 3/8" mounting hole in the column base plate.

Using the 3/8" holes as locators, use a 3/8" concrete drill bit to drill through
the case and plinth. After reaching the ground level, proceed to drill an
additional minimum 2" into the concrete.

Anchor the case using 3x .375 x 5" Concrete Stud Anchor. Ensure the anchor
has a minimum of 1-3/4" of engagement.
Tighten the bolts to 25ft-lbs.
