
ON/OFF - Press ON/OFF button once to switch the thermometer on. To switch the
thermometer off press ON/OFF button and hold for three seconds.
AUTO OFF - Press the ON/OFF button six times to disable the auto power-off
function. Once disabled the ‘AUTO OFF’ icon turns off. Press the button six times
again to enable the auto power-off function. Once enabled ‘AUTO OFF’ will display.
The instrument will turn off automatically after 10 minutes.
°C/°F - While powering the unit on, hold the ON/OFF button for five seconds to
change between °C and °F. Once changed, the unit will remain in the selected value.
CALCHECK - Switch unit on and after one second all elements on the LCD display
will light up. The screen will then display ‘CAL’ after two seconds, followed by ‘-0-’ two
seconds later, before presenting the temperature.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - The battery will need to be replaced when the
instrument displays ‘ ’. Replace the battery with a 3 volt lithium coin cell (CR2032).
making sure the polarities are correct, close and tighten up the battery cover.
Please note: Ensure the battery cover is fully tightened after battery replacement as
this may affect the water resistant function.
ERROR MESSAGE - If the thermometer has developed a fault the instrument will
show ‘Err’. If the display shows ‘LLL.L’ the reading is out of low range (-40 °C). If the
display shows ‘HHH.H’ the reading is out of high range (300 °C).

WARNING - Do not expose the thermometer to temperatures over 50 °C or use in
ovens, this will result in incorrect readings or damage to the thermometer.
Clean the probe immediately with cleaning wipes after each measurement to avoid
cross contamination.
