Die Ventilinsel Typ CPV...−GE−ASI−4E4A−...−CE ist aus
schließlich zur Steuerung von pneumatischen Aktuatoren
bestimmt und für den Einsatz in Bussystemen gemäß
AS−Interface−Spec.3.0 ausgelegt. Beim Anschluss handels−
üblicher Zusatzkomponenten, wie Sensoren und Aktoren
sind die angegebenen Grenzwerte für Drücke, Temperatu
ren, elektrische Daten, Momente usw. einzuhalten.
AS−Interface−Bussysteme und Ventilinseln dürfen nur von
hierfür geschultem Fachpersonal installiert werden. Anga
ben zur Konzeption und Adressierung Ihres Bussystems
finden Sie in der Beschreibung Ihres AS−Interface−Masters.

Warnung
SSchalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckver
binder zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktions
schädigung).
SVerbinden Sie einen der Erdungsanschlüsse an den
Endplatten niederohmig (kurze Leitung mit großem
Querschnitt) mit dem Erdpotential.
SNehmen Sie nur eine komplett montierte und
verdrahtete Ventilinsel in Betrieb.

3 Installationshinweise
3.1 AS−Interface−Adressen
Vor dem Anschließen an den AS−Interface−Bus: Weisen Sie
jedem Slave eine noch nicht belegte Adresse zu. Stellen
Sie Ihre gewünschte Adresse mit dem AS−Interface−Adres
siergerät ein. Zulässiger Adressbereich: 1A/B Ū31A/B.
Adresszuordnung
Die Zuordnung der Datenbits zu den Ein− und Ausgängen
zeigt folgendes Bild:

3.2 Zuweisen der AS−Interface−Adresse
Hinweis
Adressierung der Ventilinsel Typ CPV...−GE−ASI−4E4A−...
ist nur mit Adressiergeräten nach Spec. 2.1 oder höher
zulässig.
Andere Adressiergeräte überschreiben ggf. den
ID1−Code.

Empfehlung: Verwenden Sie zur Adressierung das
Adressiergerät Typ ASI−PRG−ADR mit Adapterkabel Typ
KASI−ADR von Festo.
Werkseinstellung: Adresse #0
Das Adressiergerät scannt die vorhandenen Slaves im
AS−Interface−Netzwerk.
SWeisen Sie dem Slave die gewünschte Adresse zu.
Eine Parametrierung des AS−Interface−Slave ist nicht
erforderlich.
Betrieb mit AS−Interface−Mastern < Spec.3.0
Der Betrieb mit AS−Interface−Mastern kleiner Spec.3.0 ist
grundsätzlich nicht möglich.
3.3 Adressbelegung der Ventile
Für die Ventilinsel sind Bestückungen nach folgender

3.4 Sensoren anschließen (PNP−Eingänge)
Verwenden Sie zum Anschluss von Sensoren Kabel vom
Typ NEBU−... oder KM8−M8−GSGD−... und Stecker mit
Überwurfmutter, Gewinde M8x1.
Fixieren Sie die Stecker mit Hilfe der Überwurfmutter, um
unbeabsichtigtes Lösen z. B. durch Erschütterungen zu
vermeiden. Verschließen Sie ungenutzte Sensoranschlüsse
mit den Schutzkappen Typ ISK−M8. Nur dann ist die
Schutzart IP65 sichergestellt.
Hinweis
 Die Eingänge sind in Anlehnung an die IEC 1131−2
Typ02realisiert.
 Die Eingänge sind kurzschlussfest. Bei Auftreten
eines Kurzschlusses wird der Slave abgeschaltet. Der
AS−Interface−Master sieht diesen Slave als fehlend.
Wenn der Kurzschluss beseitigt ist, meldet sich der
Slave sofort als funktionsfähig zurück.

3.5 AS−Interface−Bus und Lastspannung anschließen
Hinweis
Über den AS−Interface−Bus wird die Sensorversorgung
für die Eingänge bereit gestellt.
Die Ventile sind über den Lastspannungsanschluss
getrennt mit 24 V zu versorgen.
Das AS−Interface hat eine integrierte Watchdog−
Funktion, welche die Ausgänge bei Ausfall der Bus−
Kommunikation zurücksetzt.
Warnung
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Stromquellen, die eine
sichere elektrische Trennung der Betriebsspannung
nach IEC/DIN EN 60204−1 gewährleisten. Berücksichti
gen Sie zusätzlich die allgemeinen Anforderungen an
PELV−Stromkreise gemäß IEC/DIN EN 60204−1.
Durch die Verwendung von PELV−Stromkreisen wird der
Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag (Schutz gegen direktes
und indirektes Berühren) nach IEC/DIN EN 60204−1 sicher
gestellt (Elektrische Ausrüstung von Maschinen, Allgemeine
Anforderungen).

Beachten Sie bei Stichleitungen:
 Maximale Gesamtlänge des AS−Interface−Bus: 100 m
(ohne Repeater/Extender).
 Leitungslänge des Lastspannungsanschlusses
(abhängig von der Stromaufnahme der Ventilinsel und
den Schwankungen der Lastspannung).

Verwenden Sie für den Anschluss der Ventilinsel die Kabel
dosen Typ ASI−SD−FK... von Festo. Sie erreichen damit
Schutzart IP65. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. AS−Interface−Kabel in oberes Teil der Kabeldose
eindrücken.
2. Kabel zugfrei ausrichten.
3. Kabeldose aufstecken und festschrauben
(max.0,3Nm).
Verschließen Sie offene Flachkabelenden mit der Kabel
kappe Typ ASI−KK−FK oder der Kabeltülle Typ ASI−KT−FK
von Festo. Sie vermeiden damit Kriechströme und errei
chen Schutzart IP65.

3.7 Umbau der Ventilinsel
Die Ventilinsel kann mit bistabilen und/oder monostabilen
Ventilen bestückt werden. Bei Umbau muss die neue Ventil−
inselkonfiguration am DIP−Schalter auf der Unterseite der
elektrischen Anschlussplatte eingestellt werden.

Hinweise zum Lösen der elektrischen Anschlussplatte fin
den Sie in der Pneumatik−Beschreibung. Die zulässigen
Ventilkombinationen sowie die zugehörigen DIP−Schalter−
Einstellungen finden Sie in der Tabelle im Abschnitt 3.3.

Valve terminal type CPV...−GE−ASI−4E4A−...−CE has been
designed exclusively for controlling pneumatic actuators
and for use in bus systems in accordance with AS−Interface
specification3.0. If used together with additional commer
cially available components, such as sensors and actuators,
the specified limits for pressures, temperatures, electrical
data, torques etc. must be observed.
AS−Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by personnel especially trained for this purpose.
Specifications on the design and addressing of your bus sys
tem can be found in the manual for the AS−Interface master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the
valve terminal can be found in the Pneumatics manual
P.BE−CPV−...
Warning
SSwitch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise this could lead to
functional damage).
SConnect one of the earth cables on the end plates
with low impedance (short cable with large
cross−sectional area) to the earth potential.
SCommission only a valve terminal which has been
fitted and wired completely.

3 Installation instructions
3.1 AS−Interface addresses
Before connecting to the AS−Interface bus: assign an unused
address to each slave. Set the address you require using
the AS−Interface addressing device. Permitted address
range: 1A/B Ū31A/B.

The diagram below shows the assignment of the data bits
to the inputs and outputs.

3.2 Assigning the AS−Interface address
Please note
Addressing of valve terminal type CPV...−GE−ASI−4E4A−...
is only permitted with addressing devices acc. to
specification 2.1 or higher.
Other addressing devices may overwrite the ID1 code.

Recommendation: For addressing use addressing device
type ASI−PRG−ADR with adapter cable type KASI−ADR from
Festo.
Factory setting: Address #0
The addressing device scans the existing slaves in the
AS−Interface network.
SAssign the desired address to the slave.
Parameterisation of the AS−Interface slave is not necessary.
Operation with AS−Interface masters < specification3.0
Operation with AS−Interface masters < specification3.0 is
fundamentally not possible.
3.3 Address assignment of the valves

3.4 Connecting sensors (PNP inputs)
Use cable type NEBU−... or KM8−M8−GSGD−... and plug
with union nut and M8x1 thread for connecting sensors.
Fasten the plugs/sockets with the aid of the union nut in
order to prevent unintentional loosening, e.g. due to shock.
Seal unused sensor connections with the protective caps
type ISK−M8. Only in this way can you comply with protec
tion class IP65.
Please note
 The inputs have been designed in accordance with
IEC1131−2type02.
 The inputs are short−circuit proof. In the event of a
short circuit the slave will be switched off. The
AS−Interface master then regards this slave as
absent. The slave reports back as functioning once
the short circuit has been eliminated.
