1 BenutzerhinweiseDeutsch
Die MPA−S/MPA−F Ventilinseln sind ausschließlich zur
Steuerung pneumatischer Aktuatoren bestimmt. Hierbei
sind die angegebenen Grenzwerte der technischen Daten
einzuhalten. Ausführliche Informationen finden Sie in der
Pneumatik−Beschreibung P.BE−MPA−... bzw. P.BE−MPAF−...
Warnung
SSchalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckver
binder zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktions
schädigung).
SVerwenden Sie ausschließlich Stromquellen, die eine
sichere elektrische Trennung der Betriebsspannung
nach IEC/DIN EN 60204−1 gewährleisten. Berücksich
tigen Sie zusätzlich die allgemeinen Anforderungen
an PELV−Stromkreise gemäß IEC/DIN EN 60204−1.
Hinweis
Nehmen Sie nur eine komplett montierte und verdrah
tete Ventilinsel in Betrieb.

2 Multipolanschluss
2.1 Multipoldose
Vorsicht
Die Komponenten der Ventilinsel enthalten elektrosta
tisch gefährdete Bauelemente. Berühren der Kontakt
flächen an Steckverbindungen und Missachtung der
Handhabungsvorschriften für elektrostatisch gefähr
dete Bauelemente kann die Komponenten zerstören.
Lange Signalleitungen reduzieren die Störfestigkeit.
Halten Sie die zulässige Signalleitungslänge von 10m
ein.
Empfehlung:
Verwenden Sie zum Anschluss der MPA−Ventilinsel mit
Multipolanschluss folgende 25−polige Multipoldose mit
Kabel aus dem Zubehör von Festo:

3 Ansteuerung der Ventilinsel
Verwenden Sie eine einheitliche Art der Ansteuerung.
Vorzugsweise alle Steuersignale plusschaltend (1−schal
tend), andernfalls alle Steuersignale minusschaltend
(0−schaltend). Das Ansteuern im Mischbetrieb ist nicht
zulässig.
3.1 Adressbelegung der Ventile
 Adressvergabe lückenlos aufsteigend (siehe Beispiel)
 Die Adressbelegung ist unabhängig von der
Bestückung mit Reserve− oder Ventilplatten.
 Ein Ventilplatz belegt je nach Elektronik−Modul
folgende Anzahl an Adressen:

Vorsicht
Beachten Sie dass bei nachträglicher Erweiterung der
Ventilinsel es zu Verschiebung von Adressen kommen
kann.
Im Beispiel wird eine Ventilinsel MPA mit folgenden
Komponenten adressiert:

The MPA−S/MPA−F valve terminal has been designed ex
clusively for controlling pneumatic actuators. The maxi
mum values specified in the section Technical specifica
tions" must be observed here. Detailed information can be
found in the Pneumatics Manual P.BE−MPA−... or
P.BE−MPAF−...
Warning
SSwitch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise this could lead to
functional damage).
SUse only power units which guarantee reliable
electrical isolation of the operating voltage as per
IEC/DIN EN 60204−1 Observe also the general
requirements for PELV power circuits as per
IEC/DINEN60204−1.
Please note
Commission only a valve terminal which has been fitted
and wired completely.

2 Multipin connection
2.1 Multipin socket
Caution
The components of the valve terminal contain electros
tatically sensitive elements. The components will be
damaged if you touch the contact surfaces of the plug
connectors and if you do not observe the regulations
for handling electrostatically sensitive components.
Long signal cables reduce the immunity to interference.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted signal cable
length of 10 m.
Recommendation:
Use the following 25−pin multipin socket with cable from
the Festo range of acessories for connecting the MPA valve
terminal with multipin connection:

3 Controlling the valve terminal
Use a uniform method of control. Preferably, all control
signals should be positive−switching (1−switching), other
wise all control signals negative−switching (0−switching).
Mixed mode control is not permitted.
3.1 Address assignment of the valves
 Assign the addresses in ascending order without gaps
(see example).
 Addess assignment does not depend on whether
blanking plates or valve plates are fitted.
 Depending on the electronic module, a valve location
occupies the following number of addresses:

Ifan electronic module occupies 2 addresses, the
following applies:
 pilot solenoid 14 occupies the lower−value address;
 pilot solenoid 12 occupies the higher−value address.

Caution
Note that addresses may be shifted if the valve terminal
is extended at a later stage.

For controlling the valves, each valve solenoid coil (referred

El terminal de válvulas MPA−S/MPA−F ha sido diseñado
exclusivamente para en control de actuadores neumáticos.
Aquí deben observarse los valores máximos indicados en
la sección Especificaciones técnicas". Puede hallarse
información detallada en el manual de la parte neumática,
P.BE−MPA−... y P.BE−MPAF−...
Atención
SDesconecte la fuente de alimentación antes de
insertar o retirar conectores (de lo contrario, pueden
producirse daños).
SUtilice solamente fuentes de alimentación que garan
ticen un aislamiento fiable de la tensión de funciona
miento según IEC/DIN EN 60204−1. Observe también
los requerimientos generales para los circuitos de
potencial PELV según IEC/DIN EN 60204−1.
Por favor, observar
Ponga a punto el terminal de válvulas sólo cuando se
halle completamente montado o cableado.

2 Conexión multipin
2.1 Zócalo multipin
Precaución
Los componentes del terminal de válvulas contienen
elementos sensibles a descargas electrostáticas. Estos
componentes pueden dañarse si se tocan las superfi
cies de contacto de los conectores y si no se observan
las normas para el manejo de componentes sensibles a
las descargas electrostáticas.
Los cables de señal largos reducen la inmunidad a
interferencias.
No sobrepasar la longitud máxima permitida de 10 m
en los cables de señales.
Recomendación:
Utilice los siguientes conectores sub−D de 25 pines y
cables de la gama de accesorios Festo para conectar el
terminal de válvulas MPA con la conexión multipin.
