IMPORTANT!
Assembly may require the assistance of
another person.
Before you begin assembly:
READ THE DIRECTIONS all the way through one
time. This will speed up the process and help you
understand the sequence of steps.
COUNT THE PARTS AND HARDWARE before
assembly. This ensures you have received all
necessary parts before you begin.
TOOLS: You may need a Phillips head screwdriver,
a medium slotted screwdriver or a plastic mallet. To
protect your new furniture from damage during
assembly, it is recommended to work on a
carpeted surface.
CAUTION: On assemblies requiring glue, make
sure the unit is assembled correctly before gluing.
Once this unit is assembled with glue, the
manufacturer will not be responsible for damaged
parts. Keep a damp cloth or sponge handy to wipe
off excess glue.
To care for this furniture, simply wipe with a cloth
dampened with glass cleaner containing ammonia-D.

ASSEMBLED DISASSEMBLED
Using the Minifix System:
Insert the Minifix Cams into the
appropriate holes with the arrow
facing outwards as shown.
Using the #2 Phillips screwdriver,
rotate the Cam Devices a half turn
clockwise until snug.
To disassemble, turn the Cam
Devices counter-clockwise and
remove panels.
When screwing post into hole, Do
Not over tighten. Screw post down
until bottom face of post flange just
touches board surface.
ASSEMBLE DISASSEMBLE
Using the Rafix System:
Insert the Rafix Cams into the
appropriate holes. The flat edge of
the cam should be facing the edge
of the panel.
Slide Rafix Cams of the panel to be
attached onto the corresponding posts.
Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, turn the
rotating portion of the Rafix Cam a 1/2
turn clockwise to secure. IMPORTANT!
Do not exceed 1/2 turn when tightening
cams. Turn 1/2 turn counterclockwise
to disassemble and remove panel.
When screwing post
into hole, Do Not
over tighten. Screw
post down until
bottom face of post
flange just touches
board surface.

Place the Back (D) onto a clean, carpeted surface
with the pre-drilled holes facing up. Insert eight
Minifix Cams (H1) into the Back with the arrows of
the cams facing out.

OPTIONAL PLACEMENT

Insert two Rafix Bolts (H8) into the predrilled holes at the top
of the Back where indicated.
Choose your desired height for the Top (C) Panel and screw
two Rafix Bolts (H8) into the predrilled holes on the Back (D).
With the help of an assistant, lay the unit onto its back.
Turn the arrows of the Minifix Cams (H1) on Back (D)
counter-clockwise to unlock Right Side.
Turn the rotating portion of the three Rafix Cams (H2) of
the Top (C) and one Rafix Cam of the Shelf (E) counter-
clockwise to remove the Right Side as shown.
If you are attaching the Adder unit to a
previously assembled carrel, it will be
necessary to remove the Right Side (B).

Screw four Minifix Bolts (H6) into the Right Side
Panel (B) where indicated.
Insert two Dowels (H7) into the Side Panel (B)
where indicated.
Screw one Rafix Bolt (H8) into the Side Panel
(B)where indicated.

Install Leveler Inserts (H3) into the bottom holes of the
Right Side panel (B) and the Divider Panel (F). Tap the
Inserts with a plastic mallet until flush with the surface.
Press a Leveler Bracket (H4) over each Leveler Insert.
Screw the Levelers (H5) into the Leveler Inserts.
Adjust the Levelers after assembly is complete.
Insert eight Rafix Cams (H2) into the Top (C) with the flat edge of the cams aligned with
the edge of the panel.
Insert four Rafix Cams into the Shelf (E) with the flat edge of the cams aligned with the
edge of the panel.
Carry out the following three steps (4, 5 & 6) if it
was not performed during assembly of the Base
Carrel unit (LC36).

The Divider (F) will attach to the unit in the same location
as the removed Right Side (B). Position the bolts and
dowels of the Divider onto the Back (D). Turn the arrows of
the Minifix Cams (H1) of Back clockwise to secure.
Tighten the Rafix Cams (H2) on the Top (C) and Shelf (E)
by turning ¼-turn clockwise. Do not exceed ¼ turn when
tightening Rafix Cams!
Note: Make sure the Divider is positioned exactly as
shown.

Install four Minifix Bolts (H6), two Dowels (H7), and
four Rafix Bolts (H8) into each side of the Divider
Panel (F). Install each piece directly opposite itself
as shown.

The height of the Top (C) is optional. Select the
height that suits your needs. If it wasn’t done
during assembly of the Base Carrel (LC36), screw
three Rafix Bolts (H8) into the appropriate set of
predrilled holes in the Side Panel (B) where
indicated. These should match the bolts already
installed on the Left Side Panel (A) of the Base
Carrel (LC36)

Position Top (C) onto the Rafix
Bolts (H8) on Divider (F) and Right
Side (B). Using a #3 Phillips
screwdriver, turn the rotating
portions of the Rafix Cams (H2) ¼
turn clockwise to secure.
Note: Do not exceed ¼ turn when
tightening!

Position the Back (D) as shown onto the bolts
and dowels of the Divider (F). Turn the
arrows of the cams (H1) clockwise to secure.
Note: Move the cardboard filler from Steps 8
& 9 to support the Adder Back (D). This will
aid you in attaching the Right Side (B).
Position the bolts and dowels of the previously
removed Right Side (B) onto the Back (D) and
turn the arrows of the cams (H1) clockwise to
secure.

With the assistance of another person, stand the unit
upright. Insert Grommets (H10) into the Divider (F)
and the Top (C).

Your Glacier Library Carrel is now fully assembled
and ready for use.

Peel the paper off of the adhesive strip on the Wire Trough (H9). Attach the Wire Trough to the
Back of the unit and secure in place by driving two Panhead Screws (H11) through the predrilled
holes in the Wire Trough.
Note: It will be difficult to remove or reposition the wire trough once the Back and Top are joined.
