Pressure transmitter with display
DMDisamicroprocessorbaseddifferentialpressuretransmitter
withdigitaldisplay.
It has settable working range 0...100, 0...300, 0...500 or 0...999Pa
and has output signals 0...10V DC and 4...20 mA.
Theoutput signalsareautomaticallyscaledto beproportionaltothe
setpressurerange..
DMDis intendedforclean, neutralgases.
DMD-LONhasbuilt-incapabilityfor LONcommunication.
Installation
Remove the front cover. Mount DMD on a steady, non-vibrating
surface. The unit should preferably be mounted vertically with the
pressureconnectionspointingdownwards.Usethetwoscrew
pockets located in the lower part of the unit.
Wireaccordingtothewiringschematics.
Theearthingterminalshouldbeconnectedsinceseveralprotection
functionsaredecoupledtothisterminal.
Startup and settings
Always start by setting the working range and doing a zero-point
calibration.Allsettings are donebyusingthe three buttonsbelow
the display. Two buttons (Up, Down) are used to move up and down
through the different setting alternatives that are available. The third
button (Enter) is used to to choose the displayed alternative.
Connectpowertotheunit and remove the pressure hoses ifthey
areconnected.
Setting the pressure range
PressthebuttonEnter and the display will show-01.
PressEnteragainandthe displaywillshow 100,300,500 or999
dependingonwhichpressurerangehasbeenpreviouslyprogram-
med.
Tochange pressurerange,pressUpor Downuntilthedesired
rangeisdisplayed.
PressEnterandthenewvaluewillbestoredinmemoryandthe
DMDwillreturntonormalrunningmode.
Zero-point calibration
Sincethe zero-pointisdependantonthe mountingpositionitis
importanttodoa zero-point calibration afterinstallation.
PressEner andthedisplaywillshow-01.
PressUpuntilthedisplayshows-08.
PressEnter andthedisplaywillshow000.
PressEnteragainandthe new zero-point will be stored in
memoryandtheDMDwillreturntonormalrunningmode.
Connectthepressurehoses.TheconnectorsareforØ6mm
hose.Connectthehigherpressuretothe connectormarked+
(on the front cover) and the lower pressure to the connector
marked-.
Damping
Ifthe pressuresignal isexperiencedasbeingtoounstableitcan
beelectronically dampened.TheDMDthendoesacontinuous
mean-valuecalculationoverthesetdampingtimeandusesthe
calculatedmeanvalueasoutputsignalanddisplayvalue.
PressEnter andthedisplaywillshow-01.
PressUpuntilthedisplayshows-03.
PressEnterandthedisplaywillshowthepresentlysetdamping
time.
PressUporDownuntilthedesireddampingtimeisshown.
PressEnterandthenewvaluewillbestoredinmemoryandthe
