Rollease Acmeda Easy Spring Wand single roller system offers a high quality, aesthetically pleasing and technologically advanced
Wand or Shade controlled solution. The Shade will open to your preferred top location in a smooth and controlled motion, with
one simple touch.
Note: This configuration is primarily shown throughout manuals; right hand control, back roll.
The side of the wand control determines what handing the Shade is.

FABRIC PREPARATION
STEP 1 (IF USING SPLINE TO ATTACH FABRIC TO TUBE) – ATTACH AND SECURE SPLINE FOR TUBE
NOTE: Spline can be attached to fabric via welding, stapling or double
-
sided tape
STEP 2 – SECURE SPLINE FOR WEIGHT BAR USING STAPLES*
*Recommended when using one wrap on the spline

STEP 1 – SLIDE FABRIC INTO TUBE WHEN USING T-SPLINE
ALTERNATE ASSEMBLY: Fabric can be attached on the tube using double sided tape ( min 2 full wraps of fabric on the tube)
STEP 2 – SLIDE BOTTOM RAIL ONTO FABRIC
NOTE: Refer to “ATTACHING FABRIC WITH FLAT SPLINE TO BOTTOM RAIL” document for spline installation instructions
Optional: Insert Ballast (if additional weight is required to improve appearance of fabric)

STEP 4A – ADJUST WAND LENGTH (OPTIONAL)
Standard Assembled length (with bottom cap attached) =
905mm +5/-2mm (35.6” +0.2/-0.08”)
For shorter Shade drops, the aluminium wand can be cut to the
desired length before attaching the bottom cap.
Note, ensure to cut wand at end without the cross drilled hole.
Remove all sharp edges and burrs before attaching bottom cap.
STEP 4B – ATTACH BOTTOM CAP TO WAND
VISUAL CHECK : ENSURE TO ASSEMBLE CAP ON CORRECT END (WITHOUT CROSS DRILL HOLE)






ENSURE CAP IS FULLY ASSEMBLED ONTO SHAFT USING A MALLET (DO NOT DAMAGE OR DISTORT THE WAND OR CAP)
VISUAL CHECK : ENSURE CAP IS FULLY ENAGED ON THE WAND ( IT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE TO REMOVE CAP BY HAND)
NOTE : MAXIMUM LENGTH OF ASSEMBLED WAND SHOULD NOT BE GREATER THAN ALUMINIUM WAND LENGTH + 5MM

STEP 4C – ATTACH WAND TO CONTROL
Prepare to insert aluminium wand into the top cap. The wand is easier to insert into the top cap if the inner plug is in
the right place.
Before inserting the wand, align the holes in the wand so they
are between the slots of the top cap.
Hold the top cap and push the wand firmly and fully into the cap.





Twist the wand while holding the top cap to ensure the snap
features “click” into the holes in the wand.
Physical Check: While holding top cap, try to pull out the wand
from the cap, to check the wand is engaged correctly.
If the wand does not pull out, the assembly is OK.
If wand starts to pull out, stop and push the wand back into the
top cap firmly and while holding the top cap, rotate the wand
slightly in either direction to ensure the snap features engage.
Repeat pull out check again to confirm engagement.


NOTE – WHEN INSTALLING ITEMS ONTO THE BOOSTER HOLD HAND BEHIND OPPOSITE END TO SPRING, DO NOT HOLD THE
SLEEVE OR TUBE ADAPTER
STEP 1 – ATTACH THE CONNECTOR AND DECELERATOR TO THE BOOSTER
For left hand control, clip the Connector onto the blue end of
the Universal Booster
For right hand control, clip the Connector onto the red end of
the Universal Booster

Use Ratchet Socket to Pretension the Shade

Refer to a separate Spring Pre-Tension Chart document to determine a minimum number of pre-turns required. At the end of this
document there are pre-tension charts for a 420gsm (12.39oz/yd²) fabric for reference. (Right hand – back roll - control shown as
example)

PRE-TENSION ADJUSTMENT – SHADE REMOVED
Hold the shade and use the Socket
Ratchet to rotate the adjusting shaft (and
wand control head) in an anti-clock wise
direction enough to release the booster
lock. The ratchet will spring back under
the spring tension.
Hold the shade and Wand Control
Head together. To add tension, rotate
the Socket Ratchet for the number of
turns desired in a counter clockwise.
(Note, to remove tension allow the
spring to unwind in the clockwise
direction)
To re-lock the booster and shade, release
the wand control and rotate the Socket

WAND CONTROL BOOSTER
Hold the Wand Control and remove it from the connector by overcoming the medium snap retention feature.
Note: A flat head screw driver can be used to separate the control from the connector/tube assembly if it is necessary to leave
connector/booster assembly inside the tube.
To remove, rotate and twist off the connector from booster holding the black part of the booster (not the sleeve)

BOOSTER DECELERATOR
Wedge off decelerator with a flat head screw driver by twisting the screw driver at the 2 clip points, slightly twist off one side and
then the other to make it easier to remove. (The clipping points are located under the openings on the decelerator adaptor)

SYSTEM UPGRADES
Easy Spring Wand is compatible with CF90. To install the shade with a CF90, refer to the CF90 Manual.
Easy Spring Wand is also compatible with Cassette 100 and Cassette 120. To install the shade with Cassette
100 and Cassette 120, refer to Cassette 100 and Cassette 120 manual.
