The MKP-300 keypad allows you to operate the MICRA security system. It can work in conjunction
with the MICRA module running in the alarm module mode (firmware version 2.02 or newer).

2. Description
After performing certain operations on the keypad (see Section
S ECURITY SYSTEM OPERATION ),
commands will be sent to the MICRA module by radio.
Every 15 minutes, the keypad sends a transmission containing information on the status of the tamper
contact and battery. Periodic transmissions are used to monitor presence and operation of the keypad
by the MICRA module. In case of the tamper contact opening, information about the keypad tamper
will be sent immediately.
2.1 LED indicators
The keypad is provided with two LEDs:
- red color;
- green color.
When you press any key, one of the LEDs will come on, providing indication that the keypad was
recently used to:
- arm the system;

- disarm the system (or it’s a keypad with factory settings which has not been used for arming /
disarming).
The LED will remain lit for 15 seconds after pressing the key.
When performing operations on the keypad, the LEDs are used for communication with the user.
2.2 Sound signaling
When performing operations on the keypad, the following sounds are generated:
1 short beep – pressing any numeric key.
2 short beeps – starting function or correct code confirmation.
3 short beeps – command sent confirmation:
arming;
disarming and alarm clearing.
4 short and 1 long beep – command sent confirmation:
output control;
triggering fire or auxiliary (medical) alarm.
2 long beeps – unknown code or function not available.
3. Installation
There is a danger of battery explosion when using a different battery than
recommended by the manufacturer, or handling the battery improperly.
Be particularly careful during installation and replacement of the battery. The
manufacturer is not liable for the consequences of incorrect installation of the battery.
The used batteries must not be discarded, but should be disposed of in accordance
with the existing rules for environment protection.
1. Open the enclosure.
2. Install the battery and register the keypad in the MICRA alarm module (see the manual for MICRA
alarm module).
3. Close the enclosure.
4. Select the place of installation. Check that the transmissions from the keypad placed at that point
reach the MICRA alarm module. In order to send a transmission, close and open the tamper
contact. If the alarm transmission is received, continue with the installation. If the alarm
transmission is not received, select a different mounting location and repeat the test.
5. Open the enclosure.
6. Using wall plugs (screw anchors) and screws, fasten the enclosure base to the wall.
7. Close the enclosure.
4. Codes
The MICRA system can be operated from the keypad after entering the code (only a few functions
can be run without entering the code). The code consists of four digits. Pre-programmed by default in
the keypad is the administrator code: 1234.
Notes:
The factory code should be changed as soon as possible.
The administrator code can not be deleted.
The MICRA module can be preprogrammed by the installer so that entering an invalid code three
times will trigger an alarm.
The administrator code makes it possible to assign individual codes to the people who are to use the
security system. For security reasons, different people should not use the same code.

4.1 Changing own code
1. Press in turn the and keys. 2 short beeps will confirm starting the function. The
LED will start blinking.
2. Enter the current code. 2 short beeps will confirm the correct code entry. The LED will start
blinking.
3. Enter the new code and confirm with the key (or press the key to cancel changing the
code). 4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will confirm the change of code.
4.2 Adding new code
1. Press the key with digit corresponding to the number of code to be added (if a code with this
number already exists, it will be changed).
2. Press the key. 2 short beeps will confirm starting the function. The LED will start
blinking.
3. Enter the administrator code. 2 short beeps will confirm the correct code entry. The LED will
start blinking.
4. Enter the new code and confirm with the key (or press the to cancel adding the code).
4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will confirm the addition of new code.
4.3 Deleting code
1. Press the key with digit corresponding to the number of code to be deleted.
2. Press the key. 2 short beeps will confirm starting the function. The LED will start
blinking.
3. Enter the administrator code. 2 short beeps will confirm the proper code entry. The LED will
start blinking.
4. Enter 0000 and confirm with the key (or press the key to cancel deleting the code).
4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will confirm the deletion of code.
5. Security system operation
After registration in the MICRA module, the keypad will let you arm or disarm the system and clear
alarms. The functions of output control and alarm triggering are available if the MICRA module is
configured accordingly by the installer.
5.1 Arming
Enter the code and then press the key. Sending the arming command will be confirmed by 3
short beeps and the LED coming on.
5.2 Disarming and alarm clearing
Enter the code and then press the key. Sending the disarming / alarm clearing command will be
confirmed by 3 short beeps and the LED coming on.
5.3 Output control
1. Press and hold down for about 3 seconds the key to which the control function is assigned (the
installer can assign the control function to keys 1-4). 2 short beeps will confirm starting the
function. The and LEDs will start blinking.
2. Enter the code. 4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will confirm the sending of control
command.

5.4 Triggering alarm from the keypad
Triggering fire alarm
Press and hold down for about 3 seconds the key. 4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will
confirm the sending of alarm triggering command.
Triggering auxiliary (medical) alarm
Press and hold down for about 3 seconds the key. 4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will
confirm the sending of alarm triggering command.
Triggering panic alarm
Press and hold down for about 3 seconds the key. Sending the panic alarm triggering command
will not be confirmed by sound signal.
6. Restoring factory settings
1. If the keypad is registered in the MICRA module, start the test mode in the module.
2. Open the enclosure.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Press simultaneously the and keys and then insert the battery. The and LEDs
will come on.
5. Release the and keys.
6. Press the key. 4 short beeps followed by 1 long beep will confirm the restoration of factory
settings.
7. If the keypad was registered in the module, register it again (otherwise it will not be supported).
