•I. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on choosing this quality SCOTT product. Before use, please read the fol-
lowing instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions in safe custody. This specif-
ic product line has been developed to offer you the best comfort and an engineered fit.
•II. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
The textile of the SCOTT MX Shorts are considered to be items of Personal Protector
Equipment (PPE) of Category II and as such are subject to the requirements laid down
by the European directive 89/686/EEC.
The protectors in this information sheet undergo EC certification, Ricotest (NB 0498),
via Tione9, 37010 Pastrengo, Italy which certifies that our products meet the require-
ments of directive 89/686/EEC.
The protection pads in these MX Shorts as PPE of Category II have been examined and
certified according to EN 1621-1:2012 Level 1.
•III. INTENDED USE
This protector is strictly limited for the respective use and temperatures indicated by
the pictograms on the approval label (see chapter VI. Info on product). The protector is
explicitly not to be used above or below indicated temperatures, nor for other kinds of
sports (off road motocross).
•IV. USER RESTRICTIONS
APPLICATION AREA
Those SCOTT protectors are designed and manufactured to provide limited protec-
tion against the risk of impact in the event of a fall. They provide this mentioned lim-
ited protection only in areas covered by the plastic plates. SCOTT Sports SA shall not
accept any complaints arising from the use of this product where the pads and the
plastic plates are not applied. The SCOTT protectors are not known to undergo alter-
ation from contact with sweat or with substances likely to be found in toiletries and are
not known to cause any harm to human skin and body. The product does not contain
any hazardous substances.
LIMITATION OF USE
HIP PROTECTOR
These protectors do not safeguard against traumas caused by twisting, torsion or
extreme movements. They provide this mentioned limited protection only in areas
covered by the plastic plates. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints aris-
ing from the use of those products where the pads and the protection plates have not
been applied.
MISUSES
Bending or twisting the protector excessively is considered improper use and it may
cause the loss of protection properties or breakage of the gear.
We recommend that the protector is not left outside or exposed to high or low tem-
peratures before use. During use the protector temperature must not drop below
-20°C. Changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and wetness could
significantly reduce the performance of the protector. Product modifications may cause

the loss of protection and therefore, they are considered as improper use. Any contami-
nation, alteration to the protector or misuse could dangerously reduce the performance
of the protector. Never tamper with any part of the back protectors. Do not paint the
back protector nor use colorants of any nature. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept com-
plaints or replace protectors that have been used improperly.
•V. WARNING
No protector (back, limb, stoneshield) can offer full protection against injury. Any con-
tamination, alteration to the protectors or misuse could dangerously reduce the perfor-
mance of the protectors.
•VI. INFO ON PRODUCT
CARE INSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL CONTENT
This product contains no known harmful substances: it is not known to undergo alter-
ation from contact with sweat or with substances likely to be found in toiletries and
is not known to cause any harm to human skin and body. The product does not con-
tain any hazardous substances. Find detailed material on the care label on your gar-
ment itself.

1 TYPE A & B
Stands for the size of the protectors and is applicable to all joint
impact protectors. Type A refers to the standard dimensions of
protection for the average user. Type B has an additional wider area
of protection compared to type A.
LEVEL
The performance is based on the amount of impact transmission measured in kN (kilo Newton).
2The EN 1621-1 (shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, leg) standard provides 2 Levels of protection: Level 1 and
Level 2. Level 1 protectors shall have an overall mean value below 35kN, each single strike shall not
exceed 35kN in the area I, and 50kN in the area II and III. Level 2 protectors shall have an overall
mean value below 20kN, each single strike shall not exceed 20kN in the area I, and 30kN in the
area II and III.
Level 2 protectors offer higher performance than Level 1 protectors.
Level 2 protectors offer the highest Level specified by the CE standard. Due to the extra Level of
protection Level 2 protectors may be heavier, thicker and less ergonomic than the Level 1 protectors.
It is up to the responsibility of the rider to choose the correct Level of protection according to their
needs, their experience, their performance and skills.
3TEMPERATURE
T+ means the protection is tested and certified for temperatures up to +40 degrees Celsius
T- means the protection is tested and certified for temperatures down to –10 degrees Celsius
All SCOTT protections are certified with ambient and wet conditioning. Wet conditioning testing is
used to simulate the high humidity experienced during sports.
•VII. HOW TO ADJUST YOUR PROTECTOR
CHOOSING YOUR CORRECT SIZE
It must be chosen in reference to the size indicated in the following size chart or on the
garment itself. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints arising from the use
of an incorrectly fitted protector.

PROTECTOR POSITION AND FIT
To work properly, the protector must cover the protected area correctly. The garment
must be the correct size, chosen from the manufacturer’s size chart.
Wear, dirt or any kind of damage may compromise their efficiency.

•VIII. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
STORAGE
Contamination with foreign substances and improper care can seriously compromise
the effectiveness of your protection and reduce its performance:
Do not expose your protector to extreme direct sunlight.
Do not expose your protector to extremely hot and cold temperatures like those found
in a closed car or outdoor storage.
Hang your gear dry and away form direct heat sources.
SCOTT recommends to store your gear at a temperature between 0°C and 30°C.
The gear should be cleaned thoroughly before putting it away for long periods. Keep
it in its original packaging during storage and during transportation.
CLEANING
Washing instructions are indicated on the garment itself. Remove any dirt with a damp
cloth and mild soap. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean. Do not use hair dryers or other
heaters. Do not use solvents or toxic substances to clean it.
CHECKING
It is recommended to regularly inspect (in any doubt please ask an expert or your
friendly dealer) your gear. This product has a limited lifespan and for optimum safety
SCOTT recommends replacing your product three (3) years after purchasing date.

Wir gratulieren Ihnen zum Kauf eines Qualitätsproduktes von SCOTT. Vor dem ersten
Einsatz lesen Sie bitte sorgfältig die folgenden Instruktionen. Bitte bewahren Sie diese Ins-
truktionen zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit gut auf. Diese Produktlinie wurde entwickelt, um
Ihnen maximalen Komfort und eine optimale Passform zu garantieren.
•II. GESETZESBESTIMMUNGEN
Das SCOTT MX Shorts - Textil gehört zur Produktgruppe „Personal Protector Equip-
ment“ (PPE) der Kategorie II und unterliegt deshalb den Gesetzesbestimmungen der
Europäischen Richtlinien 89/686/EEC.
Die in diesem Informationsblatt beschriebenen Protektoren wurden alle durch eine
gemeldete europäische Stelle, RICOTEST (NB 0498), Via Tione 9, 37010 Pastrengo,
Italien, EC getestet, was bestätigt, dass sämtliche Produkte die Anforderungen der
89/686/EEC Richtlinien erfüllen.
Die in diesem Kleidungsstück befindlichen Protektoren als PPE der Kategorie 2 wur-
den gemäss des Europäischen Standards EN 1621-1:2012 geprüft und zertifiziert, Level
1 klassifiert.
•III. VORGESEHENER GEBRAUCH
Dieser Protektor ist ausschließlich für den durch die Piktogramme auf dem Zulassungs-
etikett angezeigten jeweiligen Verwendungszweck und die Temperaturen geeignet
(siehe Kapitel VI. „Produktinformationen“). Der Protektor ist ausdrücklich weder bei
Temperaturen, die über oder unter den angegebenen Temperaturen liegen, noch für
andere Sportarten zu verwenden (Offroad-Motocross).
•IV. BENUTZUNGSEINSCHRÄNKUNGEN
ANWENDUNGSBEREICH
Diese SCOTT-Protektoren sind so konzipiert und hergestellt, dass sie im Falle eines
Sturzes einen begrenzten Aufprallschutz bieten. Sie bieten den genannten, begrenz-
ten Schutz nur für die Bereiche, die durch die Kunststoffplatten geschützt sind. SCOTT
Sports SA erkennt keine Reklamationen bezüglich der Verwendung dieses Produkts an,
wenn die Pads und die Kunststoffplatte nicht angelegt wurden. Eine Veränderung der
SCOTT-Protektoren bei Kontakt mit Schweiß oder Inhaltsstoffen von Körperpflegemit-
teln ist nicht bekannt, ebenso sind Schäden von Haut und Körper durch die Protektoren
nicht bekannt. Das Produkt enthält keine Schadstoffe.
SCHUTZGÜTE
HÜFTPROTEKTOR
Diese Protektoren schützen nicht vor Traumata durch Verdrehen, Torsion oder extreme
Bewegungen. Sie bieten den genannten, begrenzten Schutz nur für die Bereiche, die
durch die Kunststoffplatten geschützt sind. SCOTT Sports SA erkennt keine Reklama-
tionen bezüglich der Verwendung von Produkten an, bei denen die Pads und Schutz-
polster nicht angelegt wurden.
UNSACHGEMÄSSER GEBRAUCH
Das Biegen oder Verdrehen des Rückenprotektors gilt als unsachgemässe Behandlung;
die Protektoren können dadurch ihre Schutzwirkung verlieren und/ oder vollständig

beschädigt werden. Bei Verwendung darf die Temperatur des Protektors nicht unter
-20°C sinken. Änderungen der Umweltbedingungen wie Temperatur und Nässe könn-
ten die Leistung des Protektors erheblich beeinträchtigen. Wir empfehlen, die Protekto-
ren vor dem Einsatz nicht draussen, oder an exponierten Stellen zu lagern. Veränderun-
gen der Produkte können zu einer Einschränkung der Schutzfunktion führen; dies gilt
somit als unsachgemässe Behandlung. Führen sie niemals Veränderungen am Rücken-
protektor durch. Der Rückenprotektor darf nicht bemalt oder mit Farben jeglicher Art
behandelt werden. SCOTT Sports SA akzeptiert keine Reklamationen oder tauscht kei-
ne Protektoren um, die nicht sachgemäss behandelt wurden.
•V. WARNUNG
Keine Schutzvorrichtung (Rücken, Gliedmaße, Brustpanzer) kann Sie vor jeder Art von
Unfall schützen. Alle Verunreinigungen oder Veränderungen des Rücken-Protektors oder
Missbrauch würden die Leistung des Rücken-Protektors in gefährlicher Weise verringern.
•VI. INFORMATION AUF DEM PRODUKT
PFLEGEANWEISUNGEN UND MATERIALZUSAMMENSETZUNG
In dem Produkt sind keine schädigenden Substanzen enthalten. Form, Funktion und
Design der Rückenprotektoren werden durch den Kontakt mit Schweiß oder Subs-
tanzen, welche in Hygieneartikeln enthalten sind, nicht merklich beeinträchtigt und es
besteht keine Beeinträchtigung für Haut und Körper. Das Produkt enthält keine Schad-
stoffe.

Gibt die Größe der Protektoren an und gilt für alle Protektoren von
Gliedmassengelenken. SchutzartA bezieht sich auf die Standard-
schutzdimensionen für den durchschnittlichen Anwender. Der
Schutzbereich von SchutzartB ist größer als der von SchutzartA.
LEVEL
Die Schutzleistung wird basierend auf der in kN (KiloNewton).
2Gemäss des Standards EN 1621-1 (Ellbogen und Schültern) gibt es zwei verschiedene Schutzni-
veaus: Level 1 und Level 2.
Level 1 Protektoren sollten einen allgmeinen Wert von 35kN Stand halten. Jeder einzelne Stoss soll-
te den Wert von 35kN in den I Zonen nicht überschreiten. In den II und III Zonen darf dieser Wert
maximal 50kN aufweisen.
Level 2 Protektoren sollten einen allgmeinen Wert von 20kN Stand halten. Jeder einzelne Stoss
sollte den Wert von 20kN in den I Zonen nicht überschreiten. In den II und III Zonen darf dieser Wert
maximal 30kN aufweisen.
Level 2 Protektoren haben eine höhere Schutzwirkung als Level 1 Protektoren.
Level 2 Protektoren bieten die höchste, gemäss EN Standard geprüfte Schutzwirkung. Aufgrund
dieser höheren Schutzwirkung können Level 2 Protektoren schwerer, dicker und unergonomischer
sein als Level 1 Protektoren. Es liegt im Verantwortungsbereich des Fahrers, den entsprechenden
SchutzLevel gemäss den Bedürfnissen, des entsprechenden Erfahrungsschatzes, den Fahrfähigkei-
ten und dem potentiellen Unfallrisiko auszuwählen.
3TEMPERATUR
T+ bedeutet, dass der Schutz für Temperaturen bis +40GradCelsius getestet und zertifiziert ist.
T- bedeutet, dass der Schutz für Temperaturen bis –10GradCelsius getestet und zertifiziert ist.
Alle SCOTT-Protektoren sind für Umgebungsbedingungen und Nässe zertifiziert. Mithilfe von Näs-
setests wird die hohe Feuchtigkeit während des Sports simuliert.
•VII. ANWENDUNGSBEREICHE DER PROTEKTOREN
DIE RICHTIGE PRODUKTWAHL
Wählen Sie Ihren Rückenprotektor gemäss untenstehender Grössentabelle oder
ent-sprechend den im Protektor eingenähten Informationen. SCOTT Sports SA über-
nimmt keine Haftung bei Schäden, die durch die Verwendung einer falschen Protekto-
ren-grösse entstehen.

PROTEKTOR POSITION UND ANPASSUNG
Um einwandfrei zu funktionieren, muss der Protektor den geschützten Bereich ord-
nungsgemäß abdecken. Anhand der Größentabelle des Herstellers muss die richtige
Bekleidungsgröße ausgewählt worden sein.
Abnutzung, Schmutz oder Beschädigungen können die Leistung beeinträchtigen.
•VIII. PFLEGE UND WARTUNG
LAGERUNG
Bewahren Sie sie nicht im Freien auf, wo sie Witterungseinflüssen ausgesetzt ist. Bei
extrem hohen oder niedrigen Temperaturen kann die Funktionalität dieser Ausrüstung
beeinträchtigt werden.
Setzen sie den Rückenprotektor keinen extrem heißen oder kalten Temperaturen aus,
wie sie im geschlossenen Auto oder bei Lagerung im Freien auftreten können. Hängen
Sie Ihre Ausrüstung in trockenem Zustand und geschützt vor Sonnenlicht und direkten
Wärmequellen auf.
Für die Reinigung soll die Ausrüstung zwischen 0°C und 30°C aufbewahren. Bevor die
Ausrüstung für längere Zeit weggeräumt wird, sollte sie sorgfältig gereinigt werden.
Die Ausrüstung in ihrer Originalverpackung für die Reinigung und den Transport auf-
bewahren.
REINIGUNG
Die Protektoren sollten nicht in der Maschine gewaschen, gebleicht,gebügelt oder che-
misch gereinigt werden. Reinigen Sie Ihre Protektoren nur mit einer milden Steife und
Wasser gemäss den vorgegebenen Waschanleitungen auf dem Protektor. Entfernen
Sie die obere Schutzplatte, bevor Sie ihn waschen.
KONTROLLE
Wir empfehlen eine regelmässige Kontrolle (im Zweifelsfall konsultieren sie einen
Experten oder ein Fachgeschäft) Ihrer Ausrüstung. Dieses Produkt hat eine begrenzte
Lebensdauer, daher empfiehlt SCOTT für ein Optimum an Sicherheit das Produkt drei
(3) Jahre nach Kaufdatum zu ersetzen. Die Schutzfunktion kann durch unsachgemässe
Anwendung oder Abnutzung beeinträchtigt werden. Prüfen Sie den Protektor vor der
Verwendung auf Beschädigungen an den Gurten, Nähten und Pads. Entsorgen Sie das
Produkt, falls Sie Schäden feststellen.
ENTSORGUNG
Das Produkt sollte nicht mechanisch zerstört oder verbrannt werden, da dies unter
Umständen zu möglichen Gefahren führen kann.

Félicitations et merci d’avoir choisi la qualité SCOTT. Avant utilisation, lisez attentivement
les instructions. Conservez ces instructions en lieu sûr. Cette ligne spécifique de produits
a été développée dans le but de vous offrir le meilleur confort et un haut niveau de per-
formance.
•II. CONDITIONS LÉGALES REQUISES
Le textile du short MX est considéré comme un équipement de Protection Individuellle
(EPI) de catégorie II et a été soumis aux exigences établies par la Directive Européenne
89/686/EEC.
Sur cette page d’informations, les protections sont soumises à une certification EC sur
un corps européen notifié, RICOTEST (NB 0498) Via Tione 9, 37010 Pastrengo, ITA-
LIE, qui certifie que ces produits remplissent bien les conditions requises de la direc-
tive 89/686/EEC.
Les mousses de protection à l’intérieur du short sont considérées comme Equipment
de Protection Individuelle de catégorie II selon la norme EN 1621-1:2012, niveau 1.
•III. USAGE PRÉVU
La protection est strictement limitée à l’utilisation et aux températures indiquées par les
pictogrammes de l’étiquette d’homologation (voir chapitre VI. Informations sur le pro-
duit). Cette protection ne doit pas être utilisée en cas de températures inférieures ou
supérieures à celles indiquées. Elle ne convient pas à d’autres types de sports que ceux
initialement prévus (moto tout-terrain).
•IV. RESTRICTION D’UTILISATION
ZONE D’APPLICATION
Ces protections SCOTT sont conçues et fabriquées en vue de fournir un effet protec-
teur limité contre les chocs en cas de chute. L’effet protecteur limité susmentionné
n’est effectif qu’aux endroits couverts par des plaques en plastique. SCOTT Sports SA
décline toute responsabilité en cas de réclamation suite à l’utilisation de ce produit si
les coussinets et les plaques en plastiques ont été retirés. Les protections SCOTT sont
reconnues pour ne pas subir d’altérations suite au contact de la sueur ou de substances
contenues dans les produits d’hygiène. Elles sont également reconnues pour ne pas
causer de dommages au corps humain ni irriter la peau. Cet accessoire est exempt de
toute substance dangereuse.
LIMITATION D’UTILISATION
PROTECTION DE HANCHE
La protection ne protège pas des traumatismes causés par des torsions du dos ou
mouvements extrêmes. L’effet protecteur limité susmentionné n’est effectif qu’aux
endroits couverts par des plaques en plastique. SCOTT Sports SA n’acceptera aucune
réclamation provenant de l’utilisation de ce produit en dehors des renforts en mousse
et des plaques.
MAUVAISE UTILISATION
Ne jamais plier ou tordre la protection. Cela peut réduire sa performance voire détério-
rer ou casser le dispositif. Durant l’utilisation, la température des protections ne doit pas
descendre en dessous de -20°C. Tout changement de conditions ambiantes, comme la

température et l’humidité, peut réduire de manière significative les performances des
protections. Il est donc recommandé de ne pas laisser la protection à l’extérieur ou de
l’exposer à de basses températures avant de l’utiliser. Ne jamais altérer la protection, elle
deviendrait inutilisable. Ne modifiez pas votre protection par vous-même. Ne peignez
pas votre protection et n’utilisez aucun colorant. SCOTT Sports SA n’acceptera aucune
réclamation et ne remplacera pas les protections utilisées de façon inappropriée.

1TYPE A et B
Définit la taille des protections. S’applique à toutes les protections
des articulations contre les chocs. Le Type A correspond aux
protections de tailles standard, destinées aux utilisateurs de taille
moyenne. Le Type B est pourvu d’une zone de protection plus large
par rapport au Type A.
NIVEAU
La performance de la protection est mesurée en kN (kilo Newton) ce qui correspond à la force
transmise pendant l’impact.
2La norme 1621-1 (coudes, épaules) spécifie deux niveaux de performance: pour atteindre le niveau 1,
le protecteur dorsal doit transmettre en moyenne moins de 35kN d’énergie ( la valeur moyenne des
résultats ne doit pas dépasser 35kN et chaque impact de doit pas dépasser 50kN dans la zone I et
30kN dans les zones II et III. Le niveau 2 en moyenne les résultats ne doivent pas dépasser 20kN et
20kN en zone I et 30kN en zone II et III. Le niveau 2 offre une meilleure performance que le niveau 1.
Le niveau 2 offre un meilleur niveau de protection selon la norme CE. Les protections de niveau 2
peuvent néanmoins être plus épaisses, plus lourdes et moins ergonomique que les protections de
niveau 1. Il est de la responsabilité du sportif de choisir le niveau adapté a ses besoins, son expé-
rience, ses compétences et les risques de chute.
3TEMPÉRATURE
T+ signifie que la protection est testée et certifiée pour les températures allant jusqu’à +40° Celsius.
T- signifie que la protection est testée et certifiée pour les températures allant jusqu’à -10° Celsius.
Toutes les protections SCOTT sont certifiées pour résister aux conditions ambiantes et à l’humidité.
Les essais en condition humide permettent de simuler le degré d’humidité élevé rencontré lors de
la pratique d’un sport.

BIEN CHOISIR LA TAILLE DE VOTRE PROTECTION
Vous devez choisir votre protection en fonction de la taille indiquée dans le tableau sui-
vant ou sur la protection elle-même. SCOTT Sports SA n’acceptera aucune réclamation
provenant d’un mauvais choix de la taille de la protection.

POSITION ET AJUSTEMENT
Pour être efficace, la protection doit couvrir la zone à protéger de manière adéquate.
Le vêtement doit être à la taille de l’utilisateur (selon la grille des tailles du fabricant).
L’usure, la poussière et les endommagements peuvent en compromettre l’efficacité
des protections.
•VIII. SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
STOCKAGE
La contamination par des substances étrangères et /ou un mauvais entretien peuvent
compromettre sérieusement l’efficacité de la protection:
Ne pas exposer votre protection à la lumière directe du soleil.
Ne pas exposer votre protection à des températures trop froides ou trop chaudes
(comme dans une voiture fermé ou entreposée à l’extérieur)
Accrochez toujours votre protection au sec et à l’abri de toutes sources de chaleur.
Pour le stockage conservez votre équipement à une température comprise entre 0°C
et 30°C. Avant de ranger l’équipement, il est recommandé de le nettoyer soigneuse-
ment. Conservez-le dans son emballage d’origine pour le stockage et son transport.
ENTRETIEN
Les instructions de lavage sont indiquées sur l’étiquette du produit. Nettoyez vos pro-
tections uniquement avec un savon doux et de l’eau. Ne pas mettre la protection dans
la machine à laver. Ôtez la plaque de protection avant lavage.
VÉRIFICATION
Nous vous recommandons d’inspecter régulièrement votre équipement. En cas de
doute, adressez-vous à un spécialiste ou à votre revendeur. Ce produit a une durée de
vie limitée. Pour une sécurité optimale, SCOTT recommande de remplacer votre produit
trois (3) ans après la date d’achat. Nous vous conseillons de changer votre protection
si celle-ci a subi un choc important. Son effet protecteur pourra être réduit du fait de
l’usure mécanique ou d’une utilisation incorrecte.
DESTRUCTION
Ne disloquez pas mécaniquement le produit par vous-même et ne l’incinérez pas. Vous
vous exposeriez à des risques potentiels.

•II. REQUISITI LEGALI
I tessuti degli MX shorts sono considerati articoli appartenenti ai prodotti di Dispositi-
vi di Protezione Individuale (DPI) categoria II e come tali, sono subordinati ai requisiti di
legge previsti dalla Direttiva europea 89/686/CEE.
Le protezioni in questo manuale informativo sono sottoposti alla certificazione CE
presso un Organismo europeo notificato, RICOTEST (NB 0498) Via Tione 9, 37010
Pastrengo, Italia, il quale certifica che i nostri prodotti soddisfano i requisiti della Diret-
tiva 89/686/CEE.
Le imbottiture in questo pantalone MX sono considerate come EPI di categoria II e sono
state progettate nel rispetto dei requisiti dello standard europeo in materia di sicurez-
za EN 1621-1:2012, livello 1.
•III. DESTINAZIONE D’USO
Questa protezione è strettamente limitata per il rispettivo uso e le temperature indica-
te dai pittogrammi sull’etichetta di omologazione (vedere capitolo VI. Informazioni sul
prodotto). È espressamente vietato utilizzare la protezione sopra o sotto le temperatu-
re indicate, né per altri tipi di sport (motocross fuoristrada).
•IV. LIMITAZIONI D’USO
AREA DI APPLICAZIONE
Queste protezioni SCOTT sono progettate e realizzate per fornire una protezione limi-
tata contro il rischio di impatto in caso di caduta. Essi forniscono questa menziona-
to protezione limitata solo in aree coperte dalle placche di plastica. SCOTT Sports SA
non accetterà reclami derivanti dall’uso di questo prodotto in cui non siano applicate le
imbottiture o le placche di plastica. Le protezioni SCOTT non sono noti a subire altera-
zioni dal contatto con sudore o con sostanze che possono essere trovati nei prodotti di
bellezza e non sono noti per causare alcun danno alla pelle e del corpo umano. Il pro-
dotto non contiene sostanze pericolose.
LIMITAZIONI DI UTILIZZO
PROTEZIONE ANCA
Queste protezioni non proteggono da traumi causati da torsioni o movimenti estremi.
Assicurano una protezione limitata solo nelle zone ricoperte dalle placche di plastica. SCOTT
Sports SA non accetta alcun tipo di reclamo derivante dall’utilizzo dei due prodotti senza l’in-
serimento delle imbottiture e delle placche di protezione.
USI IMPROPRI
Piegare o torcere eccessivamente le protezioni è considerato uso improprio, in quan-
to si potrebbero degradarne le prestazioni, ridurne l’efficacia di protezione o causar-
ne la rottura. Durante l’utilizzo, la temperatura del protettore non deve scendere sotto i
-20°C. I cambiamenti delle condizioni ambientali come temperatura e umidità possono
ridurre in modo significativo le prestazioni del protettore. Non è consigliabile lasciare le
protezioni all’aperto o esposto a temperature elevate prima dell’uso. Modifiche del pro-

dotto possono causare la perdita di protezione e, pertanto, essi sono considerati come
un uso improprio. Ogni contaminazione, alterazione alle protezioni o uso improprio
potrebbe pericolosamente ridurre le prestazioni del protettore. Non manomettere qual-
siasi parte del protezioni . Non dipingere il dispositivo di protezione né utilizzare colo-
ranti di qualsiasi natura. SCOTT Sports SA non accetterà reclami o sostituirà le protezio-
ni che sono stati utilizzati in modo improprio.

1TYPE A & B
Indica le dimensioni dei protettori ed è applicabile a tutte le prote-
zioni degli arti. Tipo A è la dimensione standard di protezione per
l’utente medio. Tipo B ha una superficie più ampia di protezione
aggiuntivo rispetto al tipo A.
LIVELLO
La prestazione si basa sulla quantità di trasmissioni d’impatti misurato in kN (kilo Newton).
2La norma 1621-1 (spalle, gomiti, ginocchia, anca, gamba) prevede due livelli di prestazioni: per rag-
giungere il livello di protezione 1 la protezione deve trasmettere in media meno di 35 kN. Ogni sin-
golo colpo non deve superare i 35kN nella zona I e 50kN nella zona II e III. Per superare il livello 2,
essa trasmette meno di 20kN in media. Ogni singolo colpo non deve superare i 20kN nella zona I e
30kN nella zona II e III.
Livello 2 di protezione offre prestazioni più elevate rispetto al Livello di protezione 1. Le protezioni di
Livello 2 offrono il massimo livello specificato dalla norma CE. A causa del livello supplementare di
protezione, i protettori di Livello 2 possono essere più pesanti, più spesse e meno ergonomiche dei
protettori di Livello 1. Spetta alla responsabilità del pilota di scegliere il giusto livello di protezione in
base alle loro esigenze, la loro esperienza, le loro prestazioni e capacità.

POSIZIONE E VESTIBILITÀ DEL PROTETTORE
Per funzionare correttamente, la protezione deve coprire l’area protetta correttamente.
L’indumento deve essere della taglia corretta, scelta dalla tabella misure data dal pro-
duttore. Usura, sporcizia o qualsiasi tipo di danno può compromettere la loro efficienza.
•VIII. CURA E MANUTENZIONE
CONSERVAZIONE
L’eventuale contatto con sostanze esterne e un utilizzo non corretto possono compro-
mettere seriamente l’efficacia della protezione e ridurre le prestazioni:
Non esporre le protezioni alla luce diretta del sole.
Non esporre a temperature estremamente calde o fredde, ad esempio non lasciare in
auto o all’aperto.
Appendere le protezioni asciutto e lontano da fonti dirette di calore.
Si consiglia di conservare le protezioni a temperature comprese tra 0 °C e 30 °C. Puli-
re con cura quando non in uso per periodi prolungati di tempo. Riporlo nella confezione
originale in caso di trasporto o conservazione per periodi prolungati di tempo.
PULIZIA
Le istruzioni di lavaggio sono riportate sull’indumento. Rimuovere lo sporco con un pan-
no umido e sapone delicato. Non candeggiare, stirare o lavare a secco.Non utilizza-
re asciugacapelli o altri tipi di riscaldatori. Non pulire con solventi o sostanze tossiche.
Rimuovere il protettore inserito prima di lavare.
CONTROLLI
Si raccomanda di controllare regolarmente l’attrezzatura (in caso di dubbi si prega
di chiedere a un esparto o al proprio rivenditore di fiducia). Questo prodotto ha una
durata limitata e per una sicurezza ottimale SCOTT raccomanda di sostituire il prodot-
to dopo tre (3) anni dalla data di acquisto. In seguito a un forte colpo sulla protezio-
ne e consigliabile sostituirla. La protezione offerta puo essere ridotta a causa di usura
meccanica o uso improprio. Prima dell’uso, assicurasi che la protezione non abbia alcun
danno alle fasce, alle cuciture e alle imbottiture. Smaltire il prodotto se si nota qualun-
que danno.
SMALTIMENTO
Smaltire i prodotti insieme ai rifiuti domestici. Non smontare a livello meccanico il pro-
dotto e non bruciarlo, onde evitare potenziali rischi.

de usarlo, lea con atención las instrucciones siguientes. Guarde estas instrucciones en un
lugar seguro. Esta línea de productos específica se ha desarrollado para ofrecerle una
comodidad y un ajuste óptimos.
•II. NORMATIVA LEGAL
La tela de los pantalones cortos SCOTT MX se considera como elemento de equipo de
protección individual (EPI) de Categoría II y, como tal, está sujeta a los requisitos esta-
blecidos por la Directiva Europea 89/686/EEC.
Los protectores de esta hoja de información se someten a una certificación CE por par-
te de un organismo europeo acreditado, RICOTEST (NB 0498) Via Tione 9, 37010 Pas-
trengo, Italia, que certifica que nuestros productos cumplen con los requisitos estableci-
dos por la Directiva 89/686/CEE.
Las almohadillas de protección de los pantalones cortos MX se consideran como ele-
mento de EPI de Categoría II y se han examinado y certificado
según la norma EN 1621-1:2012, nivel 1.
•III. USO PREVISTO
Este protector limitado estrictamente al uso y a las temperaturas indicadas por los pic-
togramas incluidos en la etiqueta de homologación (consulta el capítulo VI. Información
del producto). Queda explícitamente desaconsejado el uso de este protector por enci-
ma o por debajo de las temperaturas indicadas y para cualquier otro tipo de deporte,
(motocrós todoterreno).
•IV. RESTRICCIONES DE USO
ZONA DE ACCIÓN
Los protectores SCOTT se han diseñado y fabricado para proporcionar protección limi-
tada contra el riesgo de impacto en el caso de una caída. Solo proporcionan esta pro-
tección limitada en las zonas cubiertas por las placas de plástico. SCOTT Sports SA no
aceptará ninguna eclamación
resultante del uso de este producto cuando no se hayan utilizado las almohadillas y las
placas de plástico. Los protectores de espalda no sufren alteraciones en el contacto
con sudor ni con artículos de tocador, de la misma manera no se conocen daños causa-
dos en la piel humana. El producto no contiene sustancias peligrosas.
LÍMITES DE USO
PROTECTORES DE CADERA
Estos protectores no protegen contra traumatismos ocasionados por giros, torsiones
o movimientos extremos. Ofrecen una protección limitada únicamente en las zonas
cubiertas por placas de plástico. SCOTT Sports SA no aceptará queja alguna debida
al uso de estos dos productos en las zonas en las que no existen almohadillas ni pla-
cas de protección.
USOS INCORRECTOS
Doblar o girar en exceso el protector de espalda se considera un uso inapropiado y
