PRODUCT GUARANTEE
Read and follow the instruction manual and warning labels for the Unger CleanXpress and
any all-purpose, multi-surface or window cleaners before use. Do not use cleaning
solutions containing bleach or those that are cream, gel or abrasive products.
Product Guarantee
We design and test Unger products to ensure they meet our high quality standards. We
support this with Unger’s 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. We will replace your
Unger CleanXpress if it does not meet our high quality standards for material, construction,
or workmanship. The guarantee does not cover cleaning pads, cleaning solutions or
batteries.
The manufacturer is not liable and the guarantee does not cover the following:
• Operating and installation errors
• Damage caused by use in a commercial/industrial enterprise
• Failure to follow Unger’s use, safety and maintenance instructions
• Opening/disassembly of housing other than by Unger (except battery change as
described in section 3.1)
• Replacing parts or components not recommended by Unger
• Altering or modifying the product in any way
If you believe that your Unger CleanXpress does not meet Unger’s 100% Customer
Satisfaction Guarantee, please contact us at 1-800-833-6100. Unger may, at its discretion,
require return of the product for examination and testing. If a replacement product is no
longer available, Unger will replace your product with one of equal or greater retail value at
its sole discretion.

1.0 SAFETY INFORMATION
Prior to product assembly and start-up, it is essential that you observe the safety regulations
and instructions for installation and maintenance contained in this manual. When using
electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of re, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.
1.1 General Warnings
• Do not direct the spray jet at face and eyes.
• KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS. Do not allow product to be used as a
toy. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• To prevent electrical shock, do not use near any electrical outlets.
• Do not spray on electrical equipment.
• Never clean LED, LCD, plasma or similar products with this product.
• Avoid spraying in the air. Place the cleaning pad on the glass and spray in short
intervals.
• After unpacking the product, be sure to carefully dispose of the plastic bags to avoid
injury or suffocation.
• Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight, heat or re.
• Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended
attachments.
• Do not clean the product under running water.
• Do not use with ammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline.
• Do not use liquids other than conventional consumer all-purpose, multi-surface,
window and glass cleaners. Do not use with cleaning solutions that include bleach,
abrasive particles or are creams, gels or abrasive products.
• Do not use microber pads other than the ones provided by Unger CleanXpress.
Other types of microber pads may damage the unit, your surfaces and void your
guarantee.
• Do not exert excessive pressure or force on handle of unit or pole as breakage may
occur.
• Remove cleaning solution and rinse the reservoir after each use.
• READ INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR EACH CLEANING SOLUTION PRIOR TO USE.

1.2 Battery Warning Statement
• Remove the batteries from the product if you suspect it will not be used for several
months.
• Do not mix old and new batteries
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-Mh, etc).

• Batteries must be removed from the product before it is discarded. Dispose of
batteries in accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws and
regulations.
1.3 Intended Use
This is a cleaning tool for indoor and outdoor surface cleaning such as windows, glass,
mirrors, marble, granite, stainless steel, ceramic tile and sealed wood. This product is
designed for personal use only. Always ensure that the product is properly assembled,
regularly maintained and used only as intended. Do not store the product outside. For
best results, test on an inconspicuous area of your surface prior to use.

2.0 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
When unpacking the product, make sure that no accessories are missing and that none of
the package contents have been damaged.
The Unger CleanXpress is a modular system. The handheld cleaning unit consists of a
rectangular cleaning head equipped with two rectangular microber pads. The head pivots
and has an integrated spray jet in the center. The body of the unit can be opened to change
the cleaning solution or batteries. The spray activation button on the top of the unit is used
to release the cleaning solution.
The unit can be used as a hand tool or can be extended with an Unger CleanXpress
extension pole (sold separately). The Unger CleanXpress extension pole has a spray
activation button to release the cleaning solution.
This product can be used with conventional all-purpose, multi-surface, window or glass
cleaners of your choice. These products should be liquids not creams or gels. They should
not contain bleach or abrasive particles.

3.0 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Installing the batteries
• Two AA alkaline batteries are required.
• The battery compartment is located above the cleaning uid tank.
• Open the battery compartment (picture 1) and insert
2 AA alkaline batteries in orientation shown. (picture 2).
• Close the door until you hear it click.
• When removing old batteries, always dispose of them in
accordance with applicable federal, state/provincial and local
laws and regulations.
3.2 Attaching the pad
• Attach the pad holder by sliding it around the sides of the the
pivoting spray nozzle (picture 3). Pad holder will lock in place.
• Continue to push the pad holder into place until it is locked.
• Attach the microber pad with the white side facing the device
head (picture 4).
• Once the microber pad is dirty, take it off and wash it in
accordance with the care label.
• The area that can be cleaned with one pad will vary depending
on the condition of the surface being cleaned.
3.3 Adding cleaning solution
• Access the tank to add your cleaning liquid by holding the
product upside down and squeezing the sides of the bottom to
ip open tank cover (picture 5).
• Unscrew the cap by turning counter clockwise (picture 5a).
• Fill tank with your favorite cleaning solution. Do not overll
tank. DO NOT USE with creams, gels, abrasive formulas or
chemicals containing bleach. (picture 6).
• Screw the cap on by turning clockwise. Cap should have a tight seal.
• Close the tank cover.

• The tool is designed to use Unger CleanXpress extension poles
only.
• When using extension poles, be sure locking pin is locked into
corresponding pin holes (picture 7).
• To unlock, press the locking pin and separate the extension poles.

1. Press the microber pad against the surface (picture 8).
2. When you are just starting on your rst surface or when using a new
pad, press the activation button to apply one to two sprays to
pre-moisten the pad.
3. Make three circular motions to moisten pad evenly, then wipe entire
surface area clean. During the cleaning process, use as little liquid
as possible (picture 9).
4. DO NOT OVERSATURATE THE PAD. Because the pad is made from
high performing microber material, it only needs to be damp.
5. After use, pour out any excess cleaning solution and rinse the
reservoir thoroughtly.

After use, clean and dry the Unger CleanXpress and the extension pole with a microber
cloth. Pour out any excess cleaning solution and rinse the reservoir with water prior to
storage or switching to an alternate cleaning solution.
