Making a call
To make a call using the handset:
1. Pick up the handset
2. Enter the number
To make a call using the speakerphone:
1. With the handset in place, press

To make a call when using your headset:
1. With the headset connected, press to activate the headset mode
2. Enter the number
Whilst on a telephone call you may switch between handset, headset and the speakerphone by pressing the
headset key, the speakerphone key or simply by lifting the handset. For the headset mode to work you must
have a BeamRing compatible headset connected to the phone.
To make a call using my company or personal directory:
1. Press the Network Dir…soft key
2. Press 2 for the Enterprise corporate phone directory or press 3 for your pre-programmed Personal
contacts directory.
3. Use the up / down arrows to select the required number and then press the OK button or
press the Send soft key.
4. For large company directories or personal contact lists you can use the Search soft key to search by
name or number to narrow down your list.

Ending a call
To end a call using the handset:
Replace the handset or press the More soft key followed by the End Call soft key
To end a call using the speakerphone:
With the handset in place, press or press the More soft key followed by the End Call soft key
To end a call when using your headset:
Press the More soft key followed by the End Call soft key

Answering a call
To answer a call using the handset:
Pick up the handset
To answer a call using the speakerphone:
With the handset in place, press
To answer a call when using your headset:
With the headset connected, press
Whilst on a telephone call you may switch between handset, headset and the speakerphone by pressing the
headset key, the speakerphone key or simply by lifting the handset. For the headset mode to work you must
have a BeamRing compatible headset connected to the phone.

Transferring a call
The BeamRing cloud phone solution provides you with three ways to transfer a call
Attended Call Transfer:
1. Press the button or the Transfer soft key during a conversation. This places the call on hold.
The first party will hear your music on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the Send soft key.
3. When the second party answers and is ready to take the call press the button again or
press the Transfer soft key. The call is now transferred to the second party.
Note: If the second party does not wish to take the call then press the End Call soft key followed by the
Resume soft key to return to the original party.
Semi-Attended Call Transfer:
1. Press the button or the Transfer soft key during a conversation. This places the call on hold.
The first party will hear your music on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the Send soft key.
3. When you hear the ringing tone of the second party press the button again or press the
Transfer soft key. The call is now transferred to the second party. The first party will now hear the
ringing tone of the second party until they answer or the call is routed to their voicemail service.
Blind Call Transfer:
1. Press the button or the Transfer soft key during a conversation. This places the call on hold.
The first party will hear your music on hold.
2. Enter the number you want to transfer to and press the Send soft key.
3. Press the button again or press the Transfer soft key. The call is now transferred to the
second party. The first party will now hear the ringing tone of the second party until they answer or
the call is routed to their voicemail service.

Call Hold / Un-Hold
To place a call on hold during a conversation:
Press the button to place your call on hold. The handset displays a hold symbol and the caller will
hear your music on hold.
To resume the conversation:
Press the button again or you can press the Resume soft key to return to the telephone call.
BeamRing Handy Hint:
With the call waiting feature enabled you may place multiple calls on hold. In this scenario to resume the required
conversation use the up / down arrows to select the appropriate call and then press the Resume soft key

Muting / Un-Muting a call
To mute your microphone during a call:
Press the button to mute your microphone. The handset displays a muted microphone symbol and
the caller cannot hear your voice.
To un-mute your microphone during a call:
Press the button again to un-mute your microphone.

Redialling a number
To redial a previously dialled number using the handset:
Press the button to view the Placed Calls list. Use the up / down arrows to select the
required number and then press the button again or press the Send soft key.
To redial the last dialled number using the handset:
Press the button twice to redial the last number called.

Voicemail Access
To access your voicemail:
Press the button and you will be connected to your voicemail
You will be prompted to enter your assigned PIN code followed by the hash (#) key

Do Not Disturb (DND)
When you do not wish to be interrupted the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature can be enabled on your phone.
Once DND is turned on your telephone will not ring and all incoming calls will be sent directly to your
voicemail. If your voicemail service is disabled then callers will hear an engaged / busy tone.
To Enable Do Not Disturb:
To active the Do Not Disturb feature press the DND soft key on your handset. The handset will indicate the
feature is enabled by the (DND) icon appearing at the top of the handset display.
BeamRing Handy Hint –dialling *78 also enables the DND function with an audio confirmation prompt
To Disable Do Not Disturb:
To deactivate the Do Not Disturb feature press the DND soft key on your handset. The (DND) icon will
be removed from the top of the handset display.

Three-way conference calling
During an active telephone conversation you can conference in a 3rd party by using the following process:
To conference a 3rd party:
1. Press the button or the Conference soft key during a conversation. This places the call on
hold. The first party will hear your music on hold.
2. Enter the number of the second party you wish to conference into the conversation and press the
Send soft key.
3. When the second party answers and is ready to join the conference call press the button
again or press the Conference soft key. All three parties should now be in the three-way
conference call.
Note: If the second party does not wish to take the call then press the More soft key followed by the End
Call soft key. Then press the Resume soft key to return to the original party.

Call Forwarding Enable
The BeamRing cloud phone solution provides you with three call forwarding options.
Forward ALL telephone calls to another number unconditionally:
1. Press the Menu soft key then use the arrow keys to highlight Features and press OK.
2. Press 1for Call Control then 4for Call Forward and 1for Always Forward.
3. Press 2for Forward to and enter the number you would like to forward your telephone calls to.
Click the Save soft key.
4. Press 1for Always Forward and then the Switch key to toggle the status to Enabled.
5. Press the Save soft key and your Call Forwarding for All calls will then be active immediately.
BeamRing Handy Hint –Dial *72 and press the Send soft key to quickly reach this option with audio prompts
Forward telephone calls to another number when I am BUSY:
1. Press the Menu soft key then use the arrow keys to highlight Features and press OK.
2. Press 1for Call Control then 4for Call Forward and 2for Busy Forward.
3. Press 2for Forward to and enter the number you would like to forward your telephone calls to.
Click the Save soft key.
4. Press 2for Busy Forward and then the Switch key to toggle the status to Enabled.
5. Press the Save soft key and your Call Forwarding on Busy will then be active immediately.
BeamRing Handy Hint –Dial *90 and press the Send soft key to quickly reach this option with audio prompts
Forward telephone calls to another number when I DO NOT ANSWER:
1. Press the Menu soft key then use the arrow keys to highlight Features and press OK.
2. Press 1for Call Control then 4for Call Forward and 3for No Answer Forward.
3. Press 2for Forward to and enter the number you would like to forward your telephone calls to.
Click the Save soft key.
4. Press 3for No Answer Forward and then the Switch key to toggle the status to Enabled.
5. Press the Save soft key and your Call Forwarding on No Answer will then be active immediately.
6. The default time BeamRing will wait before diverting a call on no answer is 18 seconds. If you wish
to change this Press 3for No Answer Forward and then press 3for After Ring Time. Use the Switch
key to toggle the time in 6 second increments from 0 to 120 seconds. When you are happy with the
No Answer time selected then press the Save soft key.

Call Forwarding Disable
To disable call forwarding of ALL telephone calls to another number:
1. Press the Menu soft key then use the arrow keys to highlight Features and press OK.
2. Press 1for Call Control then 4for Call Forward and 1for Always Forward.
3. Press the Switch key to toggle the status to Disabled.
4. Press the Save soft key and your Call Forwarding for All calls will then be deactivated.

prompts
