After the IP phone is connected to the network
and supplied with power, it automatically begins
the initialization process. After startup, the Sign In
screen appears on the phone LCD screen. Refer to
Sign-in on page 3
to sign in to Lync server.

3.Connect the network and power, as shown below :
You have two option for network and power connections. Your system administrator will advise you on which one to use.
Note: PoE is only applicable to SIP-T22P IP phone. If inline power (PoE) is provided, you don’t need to connect the
power adaper. Make sure the hub/switch is PoE-compliant.

Sign-in Status icons: Sign in Failed Signing in
1. Press the Sign In soft key when the phone is idle.
2. Select the desired sign-in method.
3. Enter the sign-in information of the Lync user in the corresponding fields.
4. Press the Sign In soft key.
The Sign In screen appears on the LCD screen after the phone startup. Enter the sign-in information according to
the sign-in screen. You can also exit the Sign In screen first, and then do the following steps to select the desired
sign-in method and sign in.
For more information on presence status, refer to the user guide.

The following two sign-in methods are supported:

The Lync user name (e.g., yealinkuc.com\user1).

Sign in via web user interface:
Only User Credentials method is supported.

Do the following steps to sign in via web user interface.
2. Enter the user name and password in the login page, the default administrator user name and password are both
“admin” (case-sensitive).
3. Click Confirm.
4. Click on Account->Register.

Press on the phone to obtain the IP address, enter the IP address in the address bar of web browser on your
PC, and then press the Enter key.
If the Lync server is configured to forcibly lock the phone. You need to configure an unlock PIN before login. When
your phone logins to the Microsoft Lync server successfully, the phone is ready to place and receive phone calls, and
the presence icon appears on the LCD screen.
Sign-in
Note: Make sure the network connection is correct before login. By default, the phone attempts to contact a DHCP
server in your network to obtain its valid network settings. Contact your system administrator for more
informaiton.
Note: Check with your system administrator if any error appears during the sign-in process or if a specific
configuration is required.

1. Pick up the handset.
2. Enter the number, and then press the Call soft key.

Basic Call Features
Note: During a call, you can alternate between the headset, hands-free speakerphone and handset modes by pressing
the HEADSET key, the Speakerphone key or by picking up the handset. Headset mode requires a connected headset.
Note: You can ignore an incoming call by pressing the Reject soft key.

You can transfer a call in the following ways:
To enable call forward:
a. Select Forward to Voice Mail.
Incoming calls will be forwarded to voice mail.
b. Select Forward Calls to... .
Enter a phone number or select a contact that you want to forward incoming calls to.
c. Select Simultaneously Ring... .
Enter a phone number or select a contact that you want to ring simultaneously.
1. Press the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Features->Forward.

Note: You can split the conference call into two individual calls by pressing the Split soft key.

Change Presence Status
1. Press the Status soft key when the phone is idle.

Your presence status is constantly updated by the Lync server. The presence status on the phone is synchronized with
the Lync server. You can manually change your presence status. For example, if you've got a deadline, you can change
your status to Do Not Disturb to avoid being disturbed.
Voice Mail
To listen to voice mails:
Message waiting indicator on the idle screen indicates that one or more voice mails are waiting at the message center.
The message key LED lights up.
2. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your voice mails.
You can select Reset Status to reset the presence status to “Available”.
BToE (Better Together over Ethernet)
Microsoft Lync BToE feature enables the SIP-T22P/SIP-T22 IP phone to interoperate with a Lync client for third
party call control.You can place, answer, and hold calls from your phone and the Lync client on your PC/PAD
simultaneously. The presence status on the phone is synchronized with the Lync client. For more information on
how to use BToE, refer to the user guide.
Phone Features
