1.Ensuring the head box/fascia profile is square within the saw, cut the head
box to size.
2.Ensuring the head box cover is square within the saw, cut the cover to size
making sure there is no distortion.
N.B It is critical that the profile is cut square to enable the cover to close
3.To allow the crank drive to exit the head box, cut as per below a square exit
hole in the cover on the left hand or right hand depending on the control
side.
4.Cut barrel, bottom bar, fabric and side channels, and crank control tube to
size.
5.File all aluminium cuts.
6.Attach fabric to barrel and bottom bar inserting the bottom bar end caps.
7.Attach fabric retaining pips every 400mm on both sides of the drop of the
fabric.
8.Attach the gear to the transition plate using the 814 nut and bolts.

9.Insert the transition plates into the head box making sure the gear is on the
control side and attach the end plates using 933010 screws.
10.Insert the gear drive and pin end into the barrel and place barrel and fabric
into the head box.
11.To drill the holes for the safety screws at either end of the head box cover,
use the template provided. Mark the hole shown below with a pencil. When
marked, remove the template and drill a 4mm hole and countersink.
12.Attach head box cover onto the head box, close and secure using the two
safety screws (933010).
13.Assemble the control rod using the necessary components.
14.Lift head box onto text rig and ensure blind operates correctly.
15.To transport blind, it is recommended that the barrel with fabric is removed
from the head box and packaged separately.
