Safety Instructions:
1.Loops in pull cords, chains, tapes and inner cords that operate the product
can cause strangulation
2.To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of
young children. Cords may become wrapped around a child’s neck
3.Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords
4. Do not tie cords together. Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop
Ensure the relevant child safety device is used to comply with BS
EN13120:2009+A1:2014, BS EN16433:2014 and BS EN16434:2014.

VL31 Split Draw Control:
Please note, eye, hand and ear protection must be worn when carrying out the
tasks below.
1.Check the profile - part number 92700W, and spline - Part number 927006,
are free from damages.
2.Cut profile 92700W to blind width minus 4mm .
3.Cut spline 927006 to blind width minus 4mm.
4.Insert spline into the right-hand end cap - 927015W, securing with stop ring
on the outside edge – 927010.
5.Using the chart below, insert the appropriate tubular spacers, part number
927007W onto the right-hand end of the spline. Should the spacers require
cutting in half, use a sharp knife.
6.Select the appropriate trucks:
• If left hand control and 127mm, use 927002L
• If right hand control and 127mm, use 927002R
• If left hand control and 89mm, use 927003L
• If right hand control and 89mm, use 927003R

7.Using the formula below calculate the correct amount of trucks.
Actual blind width ÷ actual link length
For example, for a 400mm blind:
89mm louvre (the actual link length is 79mm) 400÷79mm = 5pcs
127mm louvre (the actual link length is 115mm) 400÷115mm = 4pcs
Round the figure up to next whole/even number.
8.Using both the L/H and R/H trucks, pick equal stacks of trucks to equal the
total quantity required.
9.To remove any surplus trucks from the ready linked stacks, cut the metal
spacer line 5mm ahead of the leading truck.
10.Attach the wand control – 927015W, to the leading trucks, see fig 1. (Trucks
furthest away from the stack ends) using the correct adaptor shown in fig 2
and 3.
11.Insert the screw into the two 927015W.

12.Loading the first stack of trucks onto the spline, with the links facing away
from the stack position, insert a stop ring – 927010, onto the spline between
the first and second truck.
13.Sliding all the trucks fully home, against the right-hand end cap, fix the stop
ring in place using a slotted screwdriver to hold the first truck captive.
14.Slide one shaft support onto the spline – 927009W.
15.Slide the second stack of trucks onto the spline, with the links facing
towards the other stack, whilst inserting a stop ring between the last and
second from last truck.

16.Now insert the spline and trucks into the profiled channel – 92700W. Slide
the lead trucks down the channel.
17.Using the workings below, insert the appropriate tubular spacer part
number 927007W onto the spline on the outside edge of the second stack of
trucks.
18.Insert the second control set onto the spline and fix in place using a stop
ring – 927010 and fasten with slotted screwdriver.
19.Fix the stop ring on the second stack of trucks with slotted screwdriver.
20.Using part number 927016W, cut the wand to the desired length and fix
onto 927015W with the screw provided. (Round o cut end of control wand
with an abrasive material).
21.Using the wand, pull trucks back and forth to make sure the trucks run
smoothly.
22.Wipe clean the profile and bring all trucks back to the control end ready for
packing.
