1.Ensuring the head box/fascia profile is square within the saw, cut the head
box to size.
2.Ensuring the head box cover is square within the saw, cut the cover to size
making sure there is no distortion.
N.B It is critical that the profile is cut square to enable the cover to close
3.Cut barrel, bottom bar, bottom angle, fabric insert, fabric and side channels
and drill a 14mm hole in either the back or top of the head box to allow the
motor cable to exit.
4.File all aluminium cuts.
5.At the top and bottom of the fabric, wrap fabric back on itself and secure
using 19mm adhesive tape to create a pocket to enable the ‘fabric insert’
(70163) to be slid in.
6.Attach fabric to barrel and bottom bar and then insert the bottom bar end
caps.
7.Attach fabric retaining pips every 400mm on both sides of the drop of the
fabric.
8.Insert the transition plates into the head and attach the end plates using
screws (933010).
9.Insert the transition plates into the head and attach the end plates using
screws (933010).
10.Attach the motor adaptor set (980012) to the motor.

11.Insert the motor into the barrel making sure the grooves are aligned with
the adaptors and then insert the pin end (918246) into the barrel.
12.Threading the cable through the 12mm hole, place barrel and fabric into the
head box by locating the pin end first into the transition plate.
13.To drill the holes for the safety screws at either end of the head box cover,
use the template provided. Mark the hole shown below with a pencil. Once
marked, remove the template and drill a 4mm hole and countersink.
14.Attach head box cover onto the head box, close and secure using two safety
screws (933010).
15.Lift head box onto test rig and ensure blind operates correctly.
16.To transport blind, it is recommended that the barrel with fabric is removed
from the head box and packaged separately.
