50 mL Tube Carriage
Quick Start Guide

1. Align slots in the center of the
tube carriage to the ridges on the
Lysera Hub. The “UP” marker should
be at the top of the unit.
2. Place the lock ring on the hub.

3. Turn lock ring clockwise
until tight.
5. Fill tube with material
to be homogenized.
NOTE: 10 mL is the optimal
volume of uid to efficiently
homogenize most samples.
Adding liquid in excess of 25 mL
is not recommended. Minimum
volume requirement is 5 mL.
6. Fully insert tube into
the tube holder until the
tube cap is seated under
the Spring Plunger*.
WARNING: The 50 mL tube carriage should not be operated at speeds in
excess of 6 m/s. Effective processing can be achieved at speeds from 3-5
m/s for most applications. At speeds above 6 m/s, tubes could be ejected
from the tube carriage.
WARNING: The 50 mL Tube Carriage is NOT compatible with the Biotage®
Cryo Cooling Unit.
TUBE COMPATIBILITY: While most 50 mL conical centrifuge tubes are
compatible with the Lysera 50 mL Tube Carriage, we recommend using
Biotage prefilled 50 mL bead tubes. The 50 mL Tube Carriage has been
optimized for this tube geometry.
4. Ensure lock mechanism
is fully engaged.
WARNING: Lock mechanism must be
secured entirely in the locked position.
