About this Document
The assembly instruction describes how to install the customer-specific VCH
08.1 with EMERGENCY STOP button.
For further information, please refer to the project planning manual
“Rexroth IndraControl VCH 08.1”, parts number R911320190.

Target Group
All installation work related to the automation system may only be carried
out by qualified personnel (e.g. electricity specialists, electrical engineers).
The personnel installing the device must be qualified to work with the auto-
mation system.
Safety Component according to Machinery Directive
This device is a safety component or part of the safety circuit! Please read
and comply with the safety instructions specified in the respective manual
before installing and setting the device up.
Comply with the regulations of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Syn-
chronize the safety components to the EN ISO 13849-1, EN ISO 13850 stan-
dards. A risk analysis according to EN ISO 14121-1 determines the safety
category (see EN 60204-1). Check whether further standards have to be
complied with.

Unpacking
Unpack all items and check the contents for visible damages in transit. Also
check, whether the delivery corresponds to the data on the delivery note.
Please contact the Bosch Rexroth sales department immediately in case of
discrepancies or damages in transit.
Connecting
Use only fitting cable terminals to wire the hand-held terminal. The wire ca-
ble cores should have a minimum cross-section of 0.34 mm2.
The IndraControl VCH 08.1 hand-held terminal is connected to the automa-
tion system via connection terminals. The operator has to ensure that the
system, in particular the safety devices, are in a good order and condition
before commissioning the IndraControl VCH 08.1. The system and the safety
devices are to be checked in regular intervals during the operation.
Before commissioning IndraControl VCH 08.1, please ensure that
the Emergency STOP Button is NOT pressed.
Connecting IndraControl VCH 08.1 during a pressed Emergency
STOP button will shut the installation down.
