2 Safety instructions
!WARNING! Failure to obey these warnings could result in death or seri-
ous injury.
Electrocution hazard (only for powered blinds)
• Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
• If the power cable for this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified or competent person
in order to prevent safety hazards.
• Inadequate repairs may cause serious hazards.
• Disconnect the blind from the power supply before carrying out any mainte-
nance.
Health hazard
• This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and per-
sons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
• Children shall not play with the device.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without super-
vision.
• Blinds should be stowed before maneuvering to ensure no restriction of the
driver vision.
•Only for powered blinds: Do not fit powered blinds to escape hatches.
Suffocation hazard
• This device contains small parts. Keep it away from children under 3 years.
• The packaging includes plastic bags. Keep them away from children under
3 years.

Risk of injury
• The device must only be installed, removed or repaired by qualified or com-
petent person using suitable fastening material.
• Take reasonable precaution when installing the blind and wear appropriate
personal protective equipment.
•Only for boats and yachts: If the blind is in front of an open window, then
the blind should be stowed when driving at more than 10 knots or in a sea
state of more than moderate, as this can cause damage to the blind. Parts that
come loose may injure persons in the vicinity.

ANOTICE!
Damage hazard
• Blinds should be stowed completely when boat or vehicle is under way.
• Use screws and plugs suitable for the wall construction to fix the blind.
• Ensure that you do not drill through the wall.
• Ensure that your hands are clean or wear suitable gloves to avoid marking the
fabric.
•Only for powered blinds:
– Check that the voltage specification on the cable label is the same as that
of the power supply.
– Only use cables with a suitable cross-section.
3 Scope of delivery

Accessories are available using the separate order form. You can find your autho-
rized customer service center at dometic.com.
5 Intended use
The blind is suitable for:
• Installation in yachts and boats
• Installation in caravans and motor homes
• Installation in homes
The design and size of the blinds are custom-made. The fabric of the blinds is cut
to fit the customer‘s specifications.
The blinds are designed for interior use only and should not be installed in bath-
rooms, wet rooms or other locations with a high level of humidity.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accor-
dance with these instructions.

This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or
operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or main-
tenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product
resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts
provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual
Dometic reserves the right to change product appearance and product
specifications.
6 Technical description
The blinds are available for a connection to 12 Vgor 24 Vg.
The motor can be controlled using:
• Switches
• AP Remote control
• Central control systems
The number on the product label in the head rail indicates the blind type.
The dimension drawings show the required measurements for fixing with surface
covers or concealed with the boat headlining (fig. a, page 8).
INOTE
The motors have a built-in, self resetting thermal cut-out for safety reasons.
Prolonged use or over loading the blind could trigger the cut-out. If this
happens allow the motor to cool for up to half an hour.

7 Installation
!
7.1 Electrical installation
The powered blinds are available for a connection to a 12/24 Vg power supply.
The data plate on the head rail provides important information on the specifica-
tions of the motor.
The following notes must be observed when connecting the blinds:
• Ensure cables are not damaged during installation. Routings of cables
through walls or bulkheads must be protected and insulated by appropriate
bushing, grommets or cable conduits.
• Ensure that a 12 V or 24 V stabilized power supply line is available for the
drive at the point of installation. The power supply line is suitably arranged
and protected.
• Secure all cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
• Only use power supply units and control elements recommended by the
manufacturer to prevent damage or faults during operation caused by incom-
patible electrical components.
• Control devices (e.g. switches) must be installed in visible locations.
➤Connect the motor as shown in the wiring diagrams:
– Dometic radio controlled blind internal receiver (fig. 6, page 5)
– Dometic radio controlled blind external receiver (fig. 7, page 6)
– Manually switched blind (fig. 8, page 6)
– Somfy radio controlled blind external receiver (fig. 9, page 6)
– Somfy radio controlled blind internal receiver (fig. 0, page 7)
WARNING! Risk of injury
Disconnect the power supply before you begin and ensure that it can not be
reconnected until installation has been completed.
The electrical power supply must be connected by a qualified electrician who
has demonstrated skill and knowledge related to the construction and opera-
tion of electrical equipment and installations and has received safety training to
identify and avoid the hazards involved.

7.2 Frame fitting

Proceed as shown (fig. 4, page 4):
1. Align the blind with the window cut-out and mark where the holes are to be
drilled for the frame.
2. Fix the frame with the screws to the ceiling.
3. Check whether the moving rail is square and moves freely.
7.3 Cover fitting (optional)

Observe the applicable documents for the controls and the operating ele-

NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Use packing material where required (fig. 3, page 4). The side tracks must
be perpendicular to the head rail.
• Use screws and plugs suitable for the wall construction to fix the frame to
the recess. Pre-drill at the marked points.
• Ensure not to drill through the wall.

•Only if operated by switches: When operating the blind with switches
each switch operates each blind independently.
•Only if operated with the AP Remote control: When operating the blind
with the AP Remote control each blind is independently operated via sepa-
rate channels on the remote control.
• Each blind can be stopped in any position.
• When operating the blind with an automation system, the operation is
dependent on the programming of the control interface.
• The blind automatically stops
– When the blind is fully deployed
– When the blind is fully stowed
– If the blind hits an obstruction (including the other moving rail)
9 Cleaning and maintenance
A
NOTICE! Damage hazard while driving
Only for boats and yachts: If the blind is fitted beneath an open sunroof,
then the blind should be stowed when driving at more than 10 knots or with a
sea state of more than moderate, because this can damage the blind. Parts that
come loose may injure people in the vicinity.
NOTE
•When operating the blind using switches or an automation
system: If the movement direction is reversed too quickly, the motor might
not detect the polarity change and will just stop. To prevent this, the power
must be off for at least 0.5 seconds before the movement direction is
reversed.
• When the motor is stopped the power consumption falls to 8.5 mA. After
approximately 4 minutes the motor automatically switches off.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Do not grease, oil or lubricate the blind. Lubricants will damage the fabric.
• Be careful not to crease the fabric when using the brush attachment of a
vacuum cleaner.
• Rubbing can damage fabrics. Do not scrub.
• Spot-cleaning may result in cleaner areas than the surrounding.
• Do not soak the blinds.
• The manufacturer recommends testing any cleaning agents on a hidden
area of the blind first.

Removing dust
➤Dust the blind regularly with a dust rag, dust glove or a vacuum cleaner with
a brush attachment. Blow excess dust off of your fabric using a can of com-
pressed air or a hair dryer on a cool setting.
➤Fully deploy the blind to clean the fabric.
➤Fully stow the blind to clean around the frame.
Spot cleaning
➤Spot-clean with a soft white cloth, moistened with warm water. Add a mild
detergent if needed (non-abrasive and with no additives).
➤Blot gently to avoid creasing or damaging the fabric. Always leave the blind
deployed to dry thoroughly.
Cleaning windows
➤Alwaysensureyourblindsare fullystowed before cleaning windows. This will
prevent spoiling the blind fabric by splatter or sprays of water or detergent.
10 Troubleshooting
NOTE Cleaning by professional cleaning personnel
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for improper cleaning methods or
agents used by professional cleaning personnel. In this case the responsibility
lies with the cleaning company.

11 Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact
your retailer or the manufacturer's branch in your country (see dometic.com/
dealer).
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents
when you send in the product:
• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
• A reason for the claim or description of the fault
• The number on the product label with details on the dimensions and material
specifications
Note that self-repair or nonprofessional repair can have safety consequences
and might void the warranty.
12 Disposal
➤Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever pos-
sible.
➤Consult a local recycling center or specialist dealer for details about how to dispose
of the product in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
➤The product can be disposed free of charge.

• Wenn das Gerät sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist, dürfen Sie es nicht in
Betrieb nehmen.
• Wenn das Anschlusskabel dieses Geräts beschädigt ist, muss es durch den
Hersteller, seinen Kundendienst oder ähnlich qualifiziertes Fachpersonal
ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
• Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren entstehen.
• Trennen Sie das Rollo von der Stromversorgung, bevor Sie mit der Durchfüh-
rung von Wartungsarbeiten beginnen.

•Nur bei Booten und Yachten: Wenn sich das Rollo vor einem geöffneten
Fenster befindet, sollte es bei Fahrgeschwindigkeiten von über 10 Knoten
oder bei mehr als moderatem Seegang eingezogen werden, da das Rollo
ansonsten Schaden nehmen kann. Sich lösende Teile können Personen in
der Umgebung verletzen.
AACHTUNG!
Beschädigungsgefahr
• Bei fahrenden Booten und Fahrzeugen sollten Rollos stets vollständig einge-
zogen sein.
• Verwenden Sie zur Befestigung des Rollos ausschließlich Schrauben und
Dübel, die für die Wandkonstruktion geeignet sind.
• Achten Sie darauf, nicht die Wand zu durchbohren.
• Reinigen Sie vor den Arbeiten die Hände oder tragen Sie geeignete Hand-
schuhe, um Flecken auf dem Tuch zu vermeiden.
•Nur bei elektrischen Rollos:
– Prüfen Sie, ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild mit der vor-
handenen Energieversorgung übereinstimmt.
– Verwenden Sie nur Kabel mit passendem Leitungsquerschnitt.

Das Rollo ist geeignet für:
• Einbau in Yachten und Boote
• Einbau in Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile
