brauchsanweisung des Hydrochirurgiegeräts und fragen Sie in
Zweifelsfällen Erbe oder Ihren Vertreiber!
1 Zweckbestimmung
Die Applikatoren/Sonden sind zum schichtgerechten Präparie-
ren und Trennen, Anheben, Markieren und Spülen von Gewebe
mittels eines sterilen Trennmediums bestimmt.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die Applikatoren/Sonden werden an ein Wasserstrahl-Chirur-
giegerät der Firma Erbe angeschlossen und sind mit den hier ge-
nannten Trennmedien zu verwenden:
•Applikatoren / Trennmedium für Erbe Helix Hydro-Jet:
Applikatoren mit Art.-Nr. 20139-xxx1). Als Trennmedium
kann ausschließlich die sog. Erbe Druckkartusche Art-Nr.
20139-050 verwendet werden.
•Applikatoren / Trennmedium für ERBEJET 2: Applikatoren
mit Art.-Nr. 20150-xxx. Als Trennmedium darf ausschließlich
sterile isotonische Kochsalzlösung ohne Arzneimittelzusätze
verwendet werden.
Die Applikatoren Art.-Nr. 20150-030, 20150-031, 20150-038,
20150-039,20150-041 können an eine externeAbsaugung, z.B.
das Erbe ESM 2 angeschlossen werden. Unabhängig vom einge-
setzen Gerät, darf der Absaugdruck max. -800 mbar betragen.
Die Produkte sind zum Einmalgebrauch bestimmt.

WARNUNG!
3 Sicherheitshinweise
Dieses Produkt darf nur von ausgebildetem medizinischen Per-
sonal, das anhand des Verwendungshinweises in dessen Ge-
brauch eingewiesen wurde, verwendet werden.
Prüfen Sie das Produkt vor der Anwendung auf Beschädigungen.
Falls schadhaft, dieses Produkt nicht verwenden!
Durch spritzendes kontaminiertes Trennmedium besteht Infekti-
onsgefahr für das OP-Personal. Tragen Sie beim Einsatz dieses
Produkts deshalb eine Schutzausrüstung, z. B. einen Gesichts-
und Spritzschutz. Die Schutzausrüstung muss der Infektionsge-
fahr angemessen sein, die vom Patienten ausgeht.
Das Instrument ist zum Absaugen von Flüssigkeiten bestimmt.
Saugen Sie keine festen Gewebestücke damit ab, da es sonst
verstopfen kann.
Niemals auf dem Patienten oder in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe
ablegen!
Schützen Sie das Produkt vor jeglicher mechanischen Beschädi-
gung! Nicht werfen! Keinerlei Gewalt anwenden!
Erbe empfiehlt das Produkt nach der Verwendung nicht wieder-
aufzubereiten. Eine Wiederaufbereitung kann die Materialeigen-
schaften und/oder Funktion des Produktes so beeinflussen,
dass eine Anwendung im Rahmen der Zweckbestimmung nicht
mehr möglich ist. Risiken sind:
•Bauteile/Verbindungen, die durch hohe Temperaturen be-
schädigt werden (z.B. im Autoklaven)
•Bauteile, die ein Durchspülen des Produkts verhindern (z.B.
Filter, extrem dünne Innenlumina)
•Bauteile/Verbindungen, die durch Reinigungs- und Desin-
fektionsmittel beschädigt werden

Erbe Elektromedizin warnt ausdrücklich davor, das Produkt zu
verändern. Jede Veränderung führt zum Ausschluss der Haftung
durch Erbe Elektromedizin.
4 Funktionsprinzip
Der Applikator (Anwendungsteil) stellt einen Strahl mit Trenn-
medium bereit. Über die Versorgungsleitung wird das Trennme-
dium von der Pumpeneinheit durch das Instrument geleitet. An
der Düse am distalen Ende wird der notwendige Druck und die
Strahlform erzeugt. Bei Applikatoren mit Absaugung wird der im
Absaugbehälter erzeugte Unterdruck über die zusätzliche Ab-
saugleitung an die Instrumentenspitze geführt und darüber die
abgesaugte Flüssigkeit zum Sammelbehälter geleitet.
5 Geräteeinstellungen
In diesem Kapitel sind Geräteeinstellungen angegeben, mit de-
nen das Produkt betrieben werden kann ohne Schaden zu neh-
men.
5.1 Zulässige Einstellungen am ERBEJET 2
Alle Effektstufen des ERBEJET 2 können eingesetzt werden. Bit-
te stimmen Sie den Effekt und somit den Druck des Wasser-
strahls auf das Organ, an dem Sie arbeiten, ab.
5.2 Zulässige Einstellungen an der externen
Absaugung
Der Absaugdruck an der externen Absaugung darf maximal
–800 mbar betragen.

6 Zubehör
Für den Einsatz des Produkts benötigen Sie an Zubehör:
•eine Erbe-Pumpeneinheit (Bestell-Nummer siehe Erbe-Pro-
duktkatalog oder Erbe-Website)
•Trennmedium: Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für sterile iso-
tonische Kochsalzlösung ohne Arzneimittelzusätze und ohne
Farbstoffe zugelassen
•für Applikatoren mit Absaugung: Absaugzubehör (Bestell-
Nummern für ESM 2-Absaugung siehe Erbe-Produktkatalog
oder Erbe-Website)
7 Anwendungshinweise
7.1 Verfallsdatum kontrollieren
Auf der Verpackung ist ein Verfallsdatum angegeben. Verwen-
den Sie dieses Produkt nicht, wenn das Verfallsdatum abgelau-
fen ist!
7.2 Verpackung kontrollieren und öffnen
Dieses Produkt nur verwenden, wenn die Verpackung nicht ge-
öffnet und unbeschädigt ist. Ist die Verpackung geöffnet oder
beschädigt, ist das Produkt nicht mehr steril und darf nicht mehr
verwendet werden.
Benutzen Sie aseptische Techniken, wenn Sie das Produkt aus
der Verpackung nehmen!
7.3 Produkt kontrollieren
Prüfen Sie das Produkt vor der Anwendung auf Beschädigungen.
Falls schadhaft, dieses Produkt nicht verwenden!

7.4 Produkt anschließen
Stecken Sie den Applikatorstecker (1) in die Pumpeneinheit. Der
Applikatorstecker muss mit einem Click einrasten. Zur Inbetrieb-
nahme der Pumpeneinheit lesen Sie bitte die Gebrauchsanwei-
sung des ERBEJET 2.
Bei Applikatoren mit Absaugung: Verbinden Sie den
Absaugschlauch (2) mit der Absaugvorrichtung.
7.5 Produkt bedienen
Der Wasserstrahl wird über den ERBEJET 2-Fußschalter akti-
viert.
Die Absaugung wird bei der ESM 2 per Fußschalter oder per
Dauer-Modus aktiviert. Für weitere Details lesen Sie bitte die Ge-
brauchsanweisung der ESM 2.

7.6 Absaugung richtig einsetzen
Das Instrument ist zum Absaugen von Flüssigkeiten bestimmt.
Saugen Sie keine festen Gewebestücke damit ab, da es sonst
verstopfen kann.
8 Entsorgung
Das Produkt, Verpackungsmaterial und Zubehör (wenn vorhan-
den) nach den jeweils geltenden länderspezifischen Vorschriften
und Gesetzen entsorgen.

These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
hydrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the hydrosur-
gical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
1 Intended Use
The applicators / probes are intended for preparation of tissue
layers and for separation, lifting, marking and irrigating of tissue
using a sterile separating medium.
2 Normal Use
The applicators / probes are connected to an Erbe waterjet sur-
gical unit and are to be used with the separating media named
here:
•Applicators / separation medium for Erbe Helix Hydro-Jet:
Applicators with art. no. 20139-xxx1). Only what is known as
the Erbe pump cartridge, art. no. 20139-050, can be used as
a separation medium.
•Applicators / separating medium for ERBEJET 2: Applica-
tors with Art. No. 20150-xxx. Only sterile physiological saline
solutions should be used as the separating medium without
the addition of drugs.
The following applicators can be connected to an external aspi-
rator, e.g. the Erbe ESM 2: Art. No. 20150-030, 20150-031,
20150-038, 20150-039, 20150-041. Regardless of the device
used, the aspiration pressure must be no more than -800 mbar.
These products are intended for single use.

3 Safety instructions
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who
have been shown how to use it according to the instructions for
use.
Check the product for damage before use.
If damaged, do not use this product!
If the contaminated separating medium emits spray, there is a
risk of infection to OR personnel. When using this product, you
should therefore wear protective equipment, e.g. face and spray
protection. The protective equipment must be appropriate to the
risk of infection, which is determined by the patient's condition.
The instrument is intended for suctioning liquids. Do not use it
to suction solid pieces of tissue as it can otherwise become
blocked.
Never lay this product on the patient or in his/her direct vicinity.
Protect this product from any form of mechanical damage! Do
not throw! Do not use force!
Erbe recommends that the product should not be reprocessed
after use. Reprocessing can affect the material properties and/
or function of the product such that use in accordance with the
intended use is no longer possible. Risks include:
•Components/connections that are damaged by high tem-
peratures (e.g. in the autoclave).
•Components (e.g. filter, extremely small lumen, etc.) that
may prevent internal cleaning/disinfection.
•Components/connections damaged by cleaning agent and
disinfectant.
Erbe Elektromedizin expressly warns against modifying the
product. Any modification exempts Erbe Elektromedizin from
any and all liability.

4 Operating principle
The applicator (applied part) provides a jet with a separation me-
dium. The separation medium is channeled from the pump car-
tridge through the instrument via the supply line. The required
pressure and jet shape of the jet are generated at the nozzle at
the distal end. In the case of applicators equipped with suction,
the vacuum generated in the suction container is directed via the
additional suction line to the tip of the instrument via which the
suctioned fluid is channeled into the collection container.
5 Unit settings
This chapter describes unit settings that may be used to operate
the product without causing damage.
5.1 Permitted settings on the ERBEJET 2
All effect levels of the ERBEJET 2 may be used. Please match the
effect and thus pressure of the water jet to the organ you are
working on.
5.2 Permitted settings on the external suction unit
The suction pressure at the external suction unit must not ex-
ceed a maximum of –800 mbar.

6 Accessories
You will need the following accessories to use the product:
•An Erbe pump cartridge (for the order number, see the Erbe
product catalog or Erbe website)
•Separation medium: This product has only been cleared for
use with sterile isotonic saline solutions without additional
medications or colorants
•For applicators equipped with suction: Suction accessories
(for order numbers for the ESM 2 suction unit, see the Erbe
product catalog or Erbe website)
7 How to use
7.1 Check the expiration date
The use-by-date is indicated on the packaging. Do not use this
product if the use-by-date has been exceeded!
7.2 Check and open packaging
Only use this product if the packaging is unopened and undam-
aged. If the packaging is opened or damaged, the product is no
longer sterile and must not be used.
Use aseptic techniques when removing the product from the
packaging!
7.3 Check the product
Check the product for damage before use.
If damaged, do not use this product!

7.4 Connect up the product
Insert the applicator connector (1) into the pump cartridge. The
applicator connector must click into place. In order to start up the
pump cartridge, please read the ERBEJET 2 User Manual.
In the case of applicators equipped with suction: Connect the
suction hose (2) to the suction device.
7.5 Operating the product
The waterjet is activated via the ERBEJET 2 footswitch.
With the ESM 2, suction is activated using the footswitch or us-
ing continuous mode. For further details, please read the ESM 2
User Manual.
7.6 Use suction correctly
The instrument is intended for suctioning liquids. Do not use it
to suction solid pieces of tissue as it can otherwise become
blocked.

8 Disposal
Dispose of the product, packaging material and accessories (if
