Zweifelsfällen Erbe oder Ihren Vertreiber!
1 Zweckbestimmung
Der Elektrodengriff ist zum monopolaren Schneiden und Koagu-
lieren bestimmt.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Elektrodengriff wird mit 2,4 mm-HF-Elektroden verwendet.
Erbe empfiehlt den Gebrauch von Erbe HF-Elektroden. Soll die-
ser Handgriff dennoch mit einer HF-Elektrode eines anderen
Herstellers betrieben werden, so beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:
Die Fügestelle von Handgriffen zu HF-Elektroden unterschiedli-
cher Hersteller ist nicht normiert. Die HF-Elektrode eines ande-
ren Herstellers hat, obwohl sie scheinbar in den Erbe Handgriff
passt, möglicherweise abweichende Abmessungen und Toleran-
zen, eine andere Isolation etc. Dies birgt Gefahren für Patient
und Personal. Erbe Elektromedizin stellt Ihnen bei Bedarf gerne
weitere Informationen zur Verfügung.
Das Produkt ist zum Einmalgebrauch bestimmt.
3 Maximale elektrische Belastbarkeit
Die maximale elektrische Belastbarkeit dieser Produkte beträgt:

4 Sicherheitshinweise
Diese Produkte dürfen nur von ausgebildetem medizinischen
Personal, das anhand des Verwendungshinweises in deren Ge-
brauch eingewiesen wurde, verwendet werden.
Auf der Verpackung ist ein Verfallsdatum angegeben. Verwen-
den Sie dieses Produkt nicht, wenn das Verfallsdatum abgelau-
fen ist!
Dieses Produkt nur verwenden, wenn die Verpackung nicht ge-
öffnet und unbeschädigt ist. Ist die Verpackung geöffnet oder
beschädigt, ist das Produkt nicht mehr steril und darf nicht mehr
verwendet werden.
Überprüfen Sie vor der Anwendung die Isolierung des An-
schlusskabels, die Aktivierungsfunktionen des Produkts, und ob
das Produkt mechanische Schäden aufweist.
Falls schadhaft, dieses Produkt nicht verwenden!
Nicht in Gegenwart von brennbaren oder explosiblen Stoffen
verwenden!
Niemals auf dem Patienten oder in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe
ablegen. Der Gebrauch des Köchers wird empfohlen.
Schützen Sie das Produkt vor jeglicher mechanischen Beschädi-
gung! Nicht werfen! Keinerlei Gewalt anwenden! Falls vorhan-
den und nicht anders erwähnt, Kabel weder knicken noch um das
zugehörige Produkt wickeln!
Erbe empfiehlt das Produkt nach der Verwendung nicht aufzu-
bereiten. Eine Aufbereitung kann die Materialeigenschaften
und/oder Funktion des Produktes so beeinflussen, dass eine An-
wendung im Rahmen der Zweckbestimmung nicht mehr möglich
ist. Risiken sind:
•Bauteile/Verbindungen, die durch hohe Temperaturen be-
schädigt werden (z.B. im Autoklaven)

5 Kompatible Geräte
Der Elektrodengriff wird an ein Erbe Elektrochirurgiegerät mit
3 Pin-Buchse angeschlossen.
Für den Anschluss an Erbe Elektrodchirurgiegeräte mit Stan-
dard-Buchsen gibt es diverse Erbe Adapter (siehe Kapitel 6).
6 Anwendungshinweise
Benutzen Sie aseptische Techniken, wenn Sie das Produkt aus
der Verpackung nehmen!
Schutzhülse von der Elektrode ziehen. Elektrode auf festen Sitz
im Griff prüfen. Wenn Sie die Elektrode wechseln, stellen Sie si-
cher, dass diese vollständig in den Griff eingesteckt ist.
Sicherungsmanschette von Elektrodengriff und Kabel ziehen.
Bei Elektrodengriff 20190-116:
•Für den Anschluss an ein Erbe Elektrochirurgiegerät mit
3Pin-Buchsen:ACHTUNG! HF-Stecker des Elektrodengriffes
ausschließlich in den HF-Ausgang der Buchse stecken (siehe
Abbildungen unten). Keinesfalls einen anderen Buchsenaus-
gang wählen, da dies das Elektrochirurgieerät beschädigen
kann.
•Für den Anschluss an ein Erbe Elektrochirurgiegerät mit
Standard-Buchsen: Adapter Art.-Nr. 20183-026 verwenden.
•Dieser Handgriff wird über Fußschalter aktiviert. Um den
Schneidemodus zu aktivieren, gelbes Pedal drücken. Um den
Koagulationsmodus zu aktivieren, blaues Pedal drücken.
Versichern Sie sich, dass das Elektrochirurgiegerät richtig re-
agiert.

Bei Elektrodengriff 20190-117:
•Für den Anschluss an ein Erbe Elektrochirurgiegerät mit
3 Pin-Buchsen: HF-Stecker des Elektrodengriffs in eine mo-
nopolare 3 Pin-Buchse stecken.
•Für den Anschluss an ein Erbe Elektrochirurgiegerät mit
Standard-Buchsen, folgende Adapter verwenden:
– Adapter 20183-028 für Erbe Elektrochirurgiegeräte der
Baureihe ACC, ICC und VIO
– Adapter 20183-029 für Erbe Elektrochirurgiegeräte der
T-Serie
•Um den Schneidemodus zu aktivieren, gelbe Taste drücken.
Um den Koagulationsmodus zu aktivieren, blaue Taste drü-
cken. Versichern Sie sich, dass das Elektrochirurgiegerät
richtig reagiert.
7 Entsorgung
Das Produkt, Verpackungsmaterial und Zubehör (wenn vorhan-
den) nach den jeweils geltenden länderspezifischen Vorschriften
und Gesetzen entsorgen.

These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
electrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the electro-
surgical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
1 Intended use
The electrode handle is intended for monopolar cutting and co-
agulation.
2 Normal use
The electrode handle is to be used with 2.4 mm electrosurgical
electrodes.
Erbe recommends the use of Erbe HF electrodes. If the handle is
operated with HF electrodes from another manufacturer, please
observe the following: The joint from handle to HF electrodes of
other manufacturers is not standardized. The HF electrode of an-
other manufacture, although it may appear to fit the Erbe han-
dle, may have different dimensions and tolerances, a different
type of insulation, etc. Such differences hold risks for patient and
staff. Erbe Elektromedizin is glad to provide more information as
required.
The product is intended for single use.
3 Maximum electrical capacity
The maximum electrical capacity of these products is:

4 Safety instructions
These products may only be used by trained medical staff who
have been instructed in their use on the basis of the Notes on
Use.
The use-by-date is indicated on the packaging. Do not use this
product if the use-by-date has been exceeded!
Only use this product if the packaging is unopened and undam-
aged. If the packaging is opened or damaged, the product is no
longer sterile and must not be used.
Check the insulation of the connection cable, the activation func-
tions of the product and whether the product exhibits mechani-
cal damage before use.
If damaged, do not use this product!
Do not use in the presence of combustible or explosive materi-
als!
Never place the instrument on or in immediate proximity to the
patient. The use of a holster is recommended.
Protect this product from any form of mechanical damage! Do
not throw! Do not use force! If there is a cable, and unless stated
otherwise, do not kink it or wrap it around the accompanying
product!
Erbe recommends that the product not be processed after use.
Processing can affect the material properties and/or function of
the product such that use in accordance with the intended use is
no longer possible. Risks include:
•Components/connections that are damaged by high tem-
peratures (e.g. in the autoclave).

5 Compatible devices
The electrode handle is to be connected to the Erbe electrosur-
gical unit with a 3 pin socket.
There are various Erbe adapters that are to be used for connect-
ing Erbe electrosurgical units with standard sockets (see chapter
6).
6 How to use
Use aseptic techniques when removing the product from the
packaging!
Pull the protective sleeve off the electrode. Ensure that the elec-
trode is firmly seated in the handle. If you change the electrode,
make sure that it is inserted fully into the handle.
Pull the securing collar off the electrode handle and cable.
When using electrode handle 20190-116:
•For connecting to an Erbe electrosurgical unit with 3-Pin re-
ceptacles: ATTENTION! Insert the HF connector of the elec-
trode handle into the HF output of the receptacle (see illus-
trations below). Never select another receptacle output as
this can damage the electrosurgical unit.
•For connecting to an Erbe electrosurgical unit with standard
receptacles: Use adapter Art. No. 20183-026.
•Footswitches are used to activate the handle. Press the yel-
low pedal to activate cutting mode. Press the blue pedal to
activate coagulation mode. Make sure that the electrosurgi-
cal unit responds correctly.

When using electrode handle 20190-117:
•For connecting to an Erbe electrosurgical unit with 3-Pin re-
ceptacles: Insert the HF connector of the electrode handle
into a monopolar 3-Pin receptacle.
•For connecting to an Erbe electrosurgical unit with standard
receptacles, use the following adapters:
– Adapter 20183-028 for Erbe electrosurgical units, ACC,
ICC and VIO series
– Adapter 20183-029 for Erbe electrosurgical units, T se-
ries
•Press the yellow button to activate cutting mode. Press the
blue button to activate coagulation mode. Make sure that the
electrosurgical unit responds correctly.
7 Disposal
Dispose of the product, packaging material and accessories (if
available) in accordance with the national guidelines and legis-
lation applicable in each case.
