1Benutzerhinweise
Die Ventilinsel Typ CPA-... ist ausschließlich zur Steuerung von
pneumatischen Aktoren bestimmt. Hierbei sind die angegebe-
nen Grenzwerte für Drücke, Temperaturen, elektrische Daten,
Drehmomente usw. einzuhalten.
Ausführliche Informationen zur Pneumatik der Ventilinsel finden
Sie in der Pneumatik-Beschreibung P.BE-CPA-....
WARNUNG:
• Verwenden Sie nur Netzteile, die eine sichere elektrische
Trennung der Betriebsspannung nach IEC 742/EN 60742/
VDE 0551 mit mindestens 4 kV Isolationsfestigkeit gewähr-
leisten. Schaltnetzteile sind zulässig, wenn sie die sichere
Trennung im Sinne der EN 60950/VDE 0805 gewährleisten.
• Schalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckverbinder
zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktionsschädigung).
HINWEIS:
Nehmen Sie nur eine komplett montierte und verdrahtete
Ventilinsel in Betrieb.
VORSICHT:
Die Komponenten der Ventilinsel enthalten elektrostatisch
gefährdete Elemente. Berühren der Kontaktflächen an Steck-
verbindungen und Mißachtung der Handhabungsvorschriften
für elektrostatisch gefährdete Bauelemente kann die Kompo-
nenten zerstören.

2Pin-Belegung des Multipolsteckers
Zur Ansteuerung der Ventile ist jeder Ventilspule ein bestimmter
Pin des Multipolsteckers zugeordnet. Dabei belegt ein Ventil-
platz je nach Verkettungsblock 1 Adresse (Verkettungsblock
CPA...-EV1) oder 2 Adressen (CPA...-EV2).

2.1 Pin-Numerierung des Multipolsteckers
Die Pin-Numerierung des Multipolsteckers (25-poliger Sub-D-
Stecker) an der Ventilinsel zeigt die folgende Abbildung:
(Pin 1 entspricht Adresse 0, ... Pin 22 entspricht Adresse 21)
Empfehlung:
Verwenden Sie zum Anschluß der Ventilinsel Typ 12 Multipoldo-
se und Multipolkabel aus dem Zubehör von Festo. Nur dann ist
die Schutzart IP 65 sichergestellt.
3Ansteuerung der Ventilinsel
Steuern Sie die Ventilinsel immer in einheitlicher Ansteuerungs-
art an. Vorzugsweise alle Steuersignale plusschaltend
(1-schaltend), andernfalls alle Steuersignale minusschaltend
(0-schaltend). Das Ansteuern im Mischbetrieb ist nicht zulässig.

3.1 Adreßbelegung der Ventilmagnetspulen
–Adreßvergabe lückenlos aufsteigend, von links nach rechts
und auf den einzelnen Ventilplätzen von hinten nach vorne.
–Ein Ventilplatz belegt je nach Verkettungsblock 1 (CPA...-
EV1) oder 2 Adressen (CPA...-EV2). Belegt ein Verkettungs-
block 2 Adressen, so gilt die Zuordnung:
- Vorsteuermagnet 14 belegt die niederwertige Adresse,
- Vorsteuermagnet 12 die höherwertige Adresse.

1User instructions
Valve terminal type CPA-... has been designed exclusively for
controlling pneumatic actuators. In this respect the specified
limit values for pressures, temperatures, electrical data, torques,
etc. must be observed.
Detailed information on the pneumatics of the valve terminal
can be found in the Pneumatics Manual P.BE-CPA-....
WARNING
• Use only power units which guarantee reliable electrical
isolation of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation resistance.
Switch power packs are permitted providing they guarantee
reliable isolation as per EN 60950/VDE 0805.
• Switch off the power supply before you connect or
disconnect the plugs (to avoid functional damage).
PLEASE NOTE
Commission only a completely fitted and wired valve termi-
nal.
CAUTION
The components of the valve terminal contain electrostati-
cally vulnerable elements. These components may be dam-
aged if you touch the contact surfaces of the plug connec-
tors or if the regualtions for handling electrostatically vulner-
able components are not observed.

2Pin assignment of the multipin plug
A certain pin on the multipin plug is assigned to each valve coil
for controlling the valves. Depending on the sub-base block, a
valve location occupies 1 address (sub-base block CPA...-EV1)
or 2 addresses (sub-base block CPA...-EV2).

2.1 Pin numbering of the multipin plug
The pin numbering of the multipin plug (25-pin Sub-D plug) on
the valve terminal is shown in the diagram below.
(Pin 1 corresponds to address 0, ... Pin 22 corresponds to
address 21)
Recommendation:
In order to connect the type 12 valve terminal, use Festo
multipin sockets and multipin cables. Only then can you comply
with protection class IP 65.
3Controlling the valve terminal
Always control the valve terminal in a uniform mode. Preferably
with all control signals positive-switching (1-switching) or all
control signals negative-switching (0-switching). Control in
mixed mode is not permitted.

3.1 Address assignment of the valve solenoid coils
–Addresses must be assigned in ascending order, from left to
right, on the individual valve locations from the rear to the
front.
–A valve location occupies 1 (CPA...-EV1) or 2 (CPA...-EV2)
addresses depending on the sub-base block. If a sub-base
block occupies 2 addresses, the following assignment ap-
plies:
- pilot solenoid 14 occupies the lower-value address
- pilot solenoid 12 occupies the higher-value address

1Instrucciones para el usuario
El terminal de válvulas tipo CPA-... ha sido diseñado exclusiva-
mente para controlar actuadores neumáticos. A tal efecto, de-
ben observarse los límites especificados para los valores de
presión, temperatura, datos eléctricos, pares, etc.
Puede hallarse información detallada sobre la neumática del
terminal de válvulas en el Manual de la parte neumática P.BE-
CPA-...
ATENCIÓN:
• Utilice solamente fuentes de alimentación que garanticen
un aislamiento eléctrico fiable de las tensiones de funciona-
miento según IEC 742/EN 60742/ VDE 0551, con una
resistencia de aislamiento de por lo menos 4 kV. Pueden
utilizarse fuentes de alimentación conmutadas siempre que
garanticen un aislamiento fiable según EN 60950/VDE 0805
• Desconectar la fuente de alimentación antes de enchufar o
desenchufar clavijas (para evitar daños funcionales).
POR FAVOR, OBSERVAR:
No ponga en marcha el terminal de válvulas hasta que no
esté completamente cableado y verificado.
PRECAUCIÓN:
Los componentes del terminal de válvulas contienen elemen-
tos sensibles a la corriente electrostática. Estos componen-
tes pueden dañarse si se tocan las superficies de contacto
de las clavijas o si no se observan las normas de manipula-
ción de componentes sensibles a las descargas electrostáti-
cas.

Cada pin de la clavija multipin está asignado a una bobina para
el control de las válvulas. Según el bloque de placa base, una
posición de válvula ocupa 1 dirección (bloque de placa base
CPA...-EV1), ó 2 direcciones (bloque de placa base CPA...-
EV2).

2.1 Numeración de pines de la clavija multipin
La numeración de pines en la clavija multipin (clavija Sub-D de
25 pines) del terminal de válvulas, se muestra en la figura si-
guiente.
(El pin 1 corresponde a la dirección 0, ... el pin 22 corresponde a
la dirección 21)
Recomendación:
Para conectar el terminal de válvulas tipo 12, utilice los zócalos
multipin Festo y cables para multipin. Sólo así es posible cum-
plir con la clase de protección IP 65.
3Control del terminal de válvulas
Controlar siempre el terminal de válvulas de modo uniforme.
Preferiblemente con todas las señales de control conmutando a
positivo (conmutación a 1) o todas las señales de control con-
mutando a negativo (conmutación a 0). No es posible utilizar
señales mezcladas.

3.1 Asignación de direcciones a las bobinas de las
electroválvulas
–Las direcciones deben asignarse en orden ascendente sin
intervalos de izquierda a derecha y en cada posición de vál-
vula desde atrás hacia adelante.
–Según el bloque de placa base, una posición de válvula ocu-
pa 1 (CPA...-EV1) ó 2 (CPA...-EV2) direcciones. En caso de
ocupar 2 direcciones las asignaciones son:
- la bobina de pilotaje 14 ocupa la dirección inferior,
- la bobina de pilotaje 12 ocupa la dirección superior
