A few important pointers before you start:
• Please read the instructions right through before you start, and check that all the
components have been included in the pack; we nd separating all the hardware
into piles makes it easier to be sure that everything is present and correct.
• Make sure you have the right tools.Allen keys are provided if required, but screw
drivers and other tools are not. You’ll nd details of the tools you need at the
beginning of the instructions.
• It’s a good idea to build the unit in the room where you are going to be using it, to
avoid the need to move it after it’s been assembled.
• Do not throw away any packing materials until assembly is complete, just in case
you accidentally discard smaller parts and hardware.

We know assembling furniture, toys or accessories is not everyone’s favourite
way to spend their time, so we’ve tried to make assembling this item as quick and
painless as possible.
Hopefully our efforts will have been worthwhile and you’ll sail through the

• Do not use power tools in the construction of this product.
• It is recommended that the Northcote modular storage furniture is only stacked
3 units high, inclusive of the base unit.
• Always use the wall straps provided.
• Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture falling over. Ensure
you secure this furniture product to the wall before you use it using the kit
provided. If you have not received an anti-tip kit with your product please contact
Customer Services.
• This product is heavy, so we recommend that you build it where you are planning
to use it.
• Check all xtures and ttings regularly and tighten as necessary.
• Please retain these instructions for future reference.
Customer Service:
• If you nd that any components are missing or damaged, please do not begin
assembly and do not use the item. Please contact GLTC Customer Services on
0344 848 6000 immediately.
• We do stock spare hardware packs at our warehouse, so we should be able to
send you a replacement pack immediately if required.
Product Care:
• Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth.
• Do NOT use cleaning products which may contain ammonia, solvents or abrasive
material.
• Do NOT expose the furniture to extremes of heat and humidity.

STEP 1:
Begin the toy box surround construction by laying the
2 x side panels (A) on a clean at surface with the drill
holes facing up, in the position shown.
Attach the ‘at’ drawer runner (#7) to both side panels
(A) using the guide holes to position and 2 x screws
(#5) on each runner to secure.

Please note: For correct positioning, the
wheel on the runner should be furthest
away from the recessed groove at the
back on the panel and to be closest to

STEP 2:
Insert 4 x wooden dowels (#3) into the drill holes in the four
corners of BOTH side panels (A). Ensure they are pushed in as
far as they will go.
Insert 4 x cam dowels (#1) into the drill holes next to
the wooden dowels on BOTH panels (A), tighten with a
screwdriver.
NB: Wooden dowels should t snuggly and push in with your ngers.
Do not use force or a hammer as the wood may split.

STEP 3:
Lay the surround top panel (B) on a clean, at surface with the
large circular drill holes facing up.
Insert 4 x cam locks (#2) into the drill holes. Position the
arrows on the cam locks to be facing towards the smaller drill
holes on the side edges of the panels.
Repeat the above with bottom panel C.
Ensure that each cam locks arrow is
pointing towards the drill hole on the side
edge of the component.

STEP 4:
Place the left hand side panel (A) on a clean at surface and position the wide top panel (B) with the
recessed groove aligning with the groove on panel A. Guide the wide top panel (B) over the cam dowels and
wooden dowels into the drill holes on the edge of the panel.
When in position, push down rmly and turn the 2 x cam locks (#2) at the bottom edge of panel B
clockwise to lock in place.
STEP 5:
Like Step 4, position the bottom panel (C) with the recessed groove aligning with the groove on the side
panel (A). Guide the bottom panel (C) over the cam dowels and wooden dowels into the drill holes on the
edge of the panel.
When in position, push down rmly and turn the 2 x cam locks (#2) at the bottom edge of panels C
clockwise to lock in place.
When in position, turn the
2x cam locks (#2) on top panel (B)
clockwise to lock in
place.

STEP 6:
Gently, slide the back panel (F) into the recessed
groove of the top and base panels, ensuring it is
pushed all the way in to the groove on the side
panel.
STEP 7:
Position the remaining right side panel (A) over the
top of the drawer box as shown. Guide the cam
dowels and the wooden dowels to the drill holes in
the edges of the top and base panels.
STEP 8:
Once the remaining side panel (A) is in
position, push down rmly.
Turn each of the four remaining cam locks (#2)
clockwise to lock them.
The Toy Box Surround is now ready for its drawer.

Assembly: Toy Box Drawer
STEP 1:
Take a drawer side panel (G) and lay on a clean
surface with the recessed groove facing down and
the smaller drill holes facing up as shown.
Take one ‘L-Shaped’ drawer runner (#6) and attach
the L-Shaped part to the outer base edge of the
panel. Attach the runner with 2 x 16mm screws
(#5) using the guide holes provided.
Repeat with the second side panel (G).
STEP 2:
Lay the drawer back panel (K) on a clean at surface and position
one drawer side panel (G) with the runner on the outside and
the recessed groove on the inside, aligning with the groove on
panel G. Using 2 x 35mm screws (#4), x panel K to panel G.
Once xed, insert 2 x cam locks (#2) into the large drill holes on
the side panel. Position the arrows on the cam locks towards the
drill holes on the edge of the panel.

Hardware for Step 3:
2x #4 35mm Screws

STEP 3:
Repeat step 10 with the second side panel (G) as shown, securing to drawer back panel (K) with 2x
35mm screws (#4).
Once xed, insert 2x cam locks (#2) into the large drill holes on the side panel. Position the arrows on
the cam locks towards the drill holes on the edge of the panel.
STEP 4:
Gently slide the drawer base panel (J) into the grooves on the side panels, ensuring it is pushed all the way
in to the groove on the back panel.
Please note the positioning
of the runner wheels, they
should be at the back of the
drawer box.

STEP 5:
Taking the drawer front panel (H), insert 4 x cam dowels (#1)
into the top hole of each pair of drill holes (shown by the
arrows in the image), tighten with a screwdriver.
Insert 4 x wooden dowels (#3) into the lower hole on each
pair of drill holes. Please ensure the dowels are pushed in as
far as they will go.
STEP 6:
Position the drawer
front panel (H)
over the top of the
drawer box. Guide
the cam dowels and
the wooden dowels
to the drill holes
in the edges of the
side panels.
When in position,
push down rmly.
On the inside of the
drawer turn each of
the four cam locks
(#2) clockwise to
lock them.

The Toy Box Drawer is now ready for use in theToy Box Surround.
On the inside of the drawer turn
each of the four cam locks (#2)

Assembly: To p Shelf Unit
STEP 1:
Lay both shelf side panels (L) on a clean at surface and
insert 3 x wooden dowels (#3) in the drill holes of BOTH
panels. Please ensure the dowels are pushed in as far as they
will go.
Insert 3 x cam dowels (#1) into the screw apertures of
BOTH panels.Tighten with a screwdriver.
STEP 2:
Lay the shelf base
panel (M) on a clean
at surface with the
large circular drill
holes facing up. Insert
4 x cam locks (#2) in
the drill holes, with
the arrows facing
towards the smaller
drill holes on the
sides of the panels.
STEP 3:
Lay the shelf back
panel (N) on a clean
at surface with the
large circular drill
holes facing up. Insert
2 x cam locks (#2) in
the drill holes, with
the arrows facing
towards the smaller
drill holes on the
sides of the panel.

STEP 4:
Place the left hand side panel (L)on a clean at surface and position the base shelf panel (M) with the
hardware facing toward you—see image. Guide the base shelf panel (M) over the two sets of cam
dowels and wooden dowels into the drill holes on the edge of the panel.
When in position, push down rmly and secure by tightening the 2x cam locks (#2) by turning
clockwise, at the point of connection between the two panels.
STEP 5:
Guide the shelf back panel (N) onto the cam lock and wooden dowel of side panel (L). When in position,
push down rmly and tighten the cam lock (#2) by turning clockwise on the back of the shelf back panel
(N).

Tighten the cam lock (#2) by
turning clockwise on the back
of panel N.
Secure by turning the two bottom
cam locks (#2) clockwise.
Please ensure that the 2x pilot holes to
attach the anti-tip straps are on this side.

STEP 6:
Position the remaining shelf side panel (L) over the edges of base shelf panel (M) and shelf back panel (N)
and guide the cam dowels and wooden dowels into the drill holes.
When in position, push down rmly and tighten the cam lock (#2) on the back of panel N and the 2 x cam
locks (#2) on the underside of panel M by turning clockwise to lock.

STEP 2:
Take the top (O), base (P) and 2x support brackets (W) and place them on a clean at surface with the large drill holes facing up.
Insert 12x cam locks (#2) into the large drill holes. Ensure that each cam lock’s arrow is pointing towards the drill hole on the side edge of the component.
Insert 2x wooden dowels (#3) into the smaller drill holes located on the front of top (O).
Insert 2x wooden dowels (#3) into the smaller drill holes located on the underside of base (P).

STEP 4:
Lay both of the door panels (S) on a clean at surface with
the small drill holes facing up.
Using the drill holes, attach the metal plate (#6) to the top
of EACH door using 2x at head screws (#8) on each plate.
Attach 3x hinges (#7) to EACH door into the recesses on
the edges of the door panels, using 2x at head screws (#8)
for each hinge. Ensure the hinges are attached as per the
position shown.
STEP 3:
Position the magnetic door catches (#4) over the drill holes
on either side of the central divider panel (R) as shown.
Secure in place with 4x round head screws (#5).
Insert 2x wooden dowels (#3) into the larger drill holes on
both sides of the central divider panel (R) as shown above.
Ensure they are pushed in as far as they will go.
Insert 2x cam dowels (#1) into the drill holes next to the
wooden dowels on both sides of the panel, tighten with a
screwdriver.

STEP 5:
Position base (P) over the left-hand side panel (Q) as shown, so that the recessed grooves on each panel are
aligned. Guide the base (P) over the cam dowels and wooden dowels onto the lower edge of the side panel
(Q) and into the drill holes on the edge of the panel.
When in position, push down rmly and secure by tightening 2x cam locks (#2) by turning clockwise, at the
point of connection between the two panels.

STEP 6:
Position the top (O) over the shaped top edge of the side panel (Q) as shown, and so the
recessed groove lines up on both panels. Guide the top (O) over the cam dowels and wooden
dowels, into the drill holes on the edge of the panel.
When in position, push down rmly and secure by tightening the 2x cam locks (#2) on top (O).

cam locks (#2) on the unit base
(B) clockwise to lock in place.
When in position, turn the 2x
cam locks (#2) on the unit top
(A) clockwise to lock in place.

STEP 7:
Position 1x support bracket (W) over the left-hand side panel (Q) as shown (the cam bolts on the support
bracket (W) will be facing away from the back of the part constructed unit.
Guide the support bracket (W) over the cam dowel and wooden dowel, onto the side panel (Q) and into
the drill holes on the edge of the support bracket (W).
When in position, push down rmly and secure by tightening 1x cam lock (#2) by turning clockwise, at the
point of connection between the two panels.
STEP 8:
Gently, slide 1x back panel (T) into the recessed groove of the top (O) and base (P), ensuring it is pushed all
the way in to the groove on the side panel (Q).

When in position, turn the 1x
cam lock (#2) on the bottom
edge of support bracket (W)
clockwise to lock in place.

STEP 9:
Place the central divider panel (R) between top (O) and base (P), maneuvering it so that the drill holes on
the short edges of central divider panel (R) are guided over the wooden dowels on the inside faces of top
(O) and base (P).
At the same time the wooden dowel (#3) and cam dowel (#1) on the underside of the central divider panel
need to be inserted into the drill holes on the edge of the support bracket (W).
Once rmly in place, turn the cam lock (#2) on the support bracket (W) clockwise until it locks.

STEP 10:
Position the remaining support bracket (W) over the central divider panel (R) as shown.
Guide the support bracket (W) over the cam dowel and wooden dowel, the central divider panel (R)
and into the drill holes on the edge of the support bracket (W).
When in position, push down rmly and secure by tightening 1x cam lock (#2) by turning clockwise, at
the point of connection between the two panels.
Slide the pole (V) into the hole in the divider panel (R) until it reaches the hole in side panel (Q).
When in position, turn the 1x
cam lock (#2) on the bottom
edge of support bracket (W)
clockwise to lock in place.
