2. Safety instrucons
The usual local building and re safety regulaons must be observed.
WARNING: This unit is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. The heater must
not be used in small spaces that are inhabited by people who cannot independently leave the room,
unless constant supervision is ensured.
1. The HEATSCOPE™ must be ed with an all-pole ON/OFF switch (not included in scope of delivery).
You can likewise operate the radiant heater using a radio receiver and a remote control, which are availa-
ble as oponal accessories. Connecon to a residual current circuit breaker and fuse is necessary.
2. The device is equipped with reversible overheang protecon. If the overheang protecon is trigge-
red, it automacally powers on the device again aer a certain cooling me.
3. The unit may only be operated in principle with an approved disconnecng device. The heater is
equipped as standard for electrical connecon with a separate open cable without a plug. A connecon
cable with safety plug (Schuko) is sold separately as an accessory.
4. The unit must be securely mounted and connected to the main power supply by a qualied electrician
in accordance with the applicable standards and regulaons for electrical wiring in the electrical trade in
the respecve country of installaon.
5. The heater may not be placed immediately below a socket outlet. A safety clearance of at least 10cm
to the next power source must be guaranteed from the long sides.
6. Under VDE 0100, Part 701, the radiant heater may only be installed in area 3 in installaon rooms with
high humidity (bath, spa, pool, etc.). If the HEATSCOPE™ is installed in such an environment with high
humidity, the switches or other operang units must be installed such that they cannot be touched by
persons who are in direct contact with water.
7. Once the device is connected to a power source or powered by an „ON“ switch or other operang
opon, it takes about 10 minutes for the radiant heater to reach the opmum operang temperature.
8. The front side of the heater can reach a temperature of up to 700°F / 380°C under ideal condions,
depending on the room situaon and environmental condions. Do not touch any part of the heater
during operaon and up to 60 minutes aer it has been switched o.
9. Use cauon when operang the unit. This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilies or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instrucon from them on how to
operate/use the device.
10. Make sure that no cables or furniture, ammable materials or other items come in contact with the
surface of the radiant heater and never cover the unit. The unit must not be covered with insulang
materials or similar materials under any circumstances.
11. The unit must never be operated unaended. Children should always be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
12. If the mains cable for this unit is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or the
manufacturer‘s customer service department to avoid hazards.
