2.2Recepcióndel autoclave
Manipularel paquete de forma adecuada a su pesoy considerándolocomoun
equipoFRÁGIL.
Desembalarloy comprobarque el contenidocoincide conloindicadoenel aparta-
dode la“Lista de embalaje”.Si se observa algúncomponente dañadoola ausencia
de alguno,avisarrápidamente al distribuidor.
Conservarel embalaje original duranteunosdias.Desecharel embalaje adecuada-
mente,separandosuscomponentes: cartón,madera yplástico.

Juntoconel autoclave se suministranlossiguientesdocumentos:

SELECTA,s.a.la protecciónasegurada así comosu funcionalidad puede quedar
comprometida.
2.5Periododegarantía
Losautoclave tienenuna garantía de unaño. La garantía no cubre losdañoscau-
sadosporunusoindebidoopor causasajenasa J.P.SELECTA, s.a.
Cualquiermanipulacióndel aparatoporpersonal no autorizadopor J.P.SELECTA,
s.a.,anula automáticamente losbene ciosde la garantía.

5 Introducción
LosautoclavesMicro8son equiposdestinadosaaplicacionesenloscampos,sanitarios,
procesosindustrialesyde controlde calidad.Estosautoclavespermitenprocesosde
esterilizaciónde sólidossinembalaje,liquidosy mediosde cultivo.
5.1Esterilización
Seentiende poresterilizarla destrución oeliminaciónde toda formade vida micro-
biana,incluyendoesporas,presente enobjetosinanimados.
5.2Desinfección
Seentiende pordesinfecciónel procesode destruciónde agentesinfecciosos.Se
realizaatemperaturamásbajaquelaesterilización. La desinfección consigueeliminar
sóloalgunasformasvegetativas.
5.3Medios decultivo
Material nutritivoenel quesepuedenrecuperar,multiplicaryaislarlosmicroorga-
nismos,asícomo efectuarpruebasdesuceptibilidad.Generalmentesepresentan
desecadosenformade polvo no ogranular,pero tambiénpuedenpresentarse
hidratadosy preparados. Nodebenutilizarse sinantesseresterilizados.
5.4Purgado(Extraccióndelairede lacámara)
Elpurgadoeselciclomedianteel cual seeliminael airedelinteriorde la cámara
para conseguirvaporsaturado.
5.5Vaporsaturado
Vapor deagua a una temperatura correspondienteal puntode ebullicióndel liquido
origen.
5.6Purgadoatmosférico
Enel purgadoatmosférico,el airesaleal exteriorde formagravimétrica,impusado
porel vapor durante untiempodeterminado.
5.7Recomendaciones paralograruna perfectaesterili-
zación
El material a esterilizartiene que estarperfectamente limpio,libre de cualquiertipo
de incrustaciónoresiduo, para elloesrecomendablelavarloconunbuendetergen-
te y agua destilada.Después,aclararconabundanteagua.

5.7.1Esterilizacióndeinstrumentosagranel:
Colocarel instrumental sobre el papel hidrófugoenposiciónabierta y que no se
toquenentre sí.
Evitarcolocarenuna misma bandejainstrumental de diferentestiposde metal.
5.7.2EsterilizacióndeRecipientes:
Nunca colocarrecipientesherméticamentecerrados.
Colocarlosrecipientesboca abajoparaevitarlosdepósitosde agua.
5.7.3EsterilizacióndeLíquidos:
Colocarloslíquidosa esterilizarenrecipientespreparadospara soportarla tempe-
ratura de esterilización y encima de bandejas,para que se puedanrecogerposibles
derrames.
Losrecipientesse llenaránsobre los2/3de sucapacidad.NO CERRARLOSherméti-
camente,se taparáncon algodón oalgún tipode tapónque facilite la salida de aire
del recipiente y noseforme presión.
Evitarutilizarrecipientesde cuelloestrecho.
Al nal del ciclode esterilización, dejarque el autoclavese enfríe libremente (hasta
que la presiónsea 0kg/cm²).
6 Descripción del equipo
El autoclave Micro 8esunautoclave a vapor saturadoque se distingue porlas
siguientescaraterísticas:
-Noaptospara acomodarun módulode esterilización.
-Posibilidad para la esterilización de:
Carga de metal sinembalar: pinzas,bisturies,etc...
Carga de recipientesconlíquidos.
-Desagüe manual del agua

6.1Característicasdeldiseñodeterminantes parala

La temperaturamáximade servicioparaesteequipoesmuyinferiorala temperatura
para la cual losmaterialesempleadospresentandeterioro por fluencia lenta.
-Fatiga: Elequipohasidodiseñadopararesistirconseguridad la presión máxima
admisible PS=2,4 bar,asícomo la fatiga enlosmaterialesdebida alosciclosde
presión (de vacíohastapresión máxima).La vida teóricaprevistaparael aparato
esde 20años,con régimendetrabajode 4operaciones/día los365díasal año.
NOESTERILIZARTUBOSNIMATERIAL EMBALADO
Este tipode material se reserva a losautoclavescon sistema depurgadocon
sistema prevacuum.

7 Instalación
7.1Emplazamiento
Situarel autoclave cerca de una toma de corriente adecuada al consumode la
máquina.
Deacuerdoalalegislaciónvigente, elautoclavesedebeemplazarde
formaquelasalidadedescarga dela válvuladeseguridadNOapuntea
personas opuedaalcanzarlas enelcasodesalidadevapor.
Situarel autoclave sobre una super cie plana,horizontaly estable,adecuada al
pesode la máquina (Vercapítulo3«Especi cacionesTécnicas») dejandounespa-
ciolibre de al menos20cmalrededorde la máquina.
Conectaruna manguera enla salida (13).
8 Funcionamiento
8.1Operaciones preliminares alapuestaen marcha
-Asegurarse de que la válvula lateral (12) no está enposición «Vaciado».
-Colocarla bandeja cubreresistencia enel fondodela caldera.
-Poneragua enla caldera hasta el nivel de la rejilla cubreresistencia.
-Conectarel autoclave a la red eléctrica.
-Ponerenmarcha mediante elinterruptorgeneral (16).
-Colocarel material a esterilizar.
-Cerrarla tapa.
8.2Cierrey aperturadelatapa
CIERRE
-Para cerrar,presionarsobrela tapa con una manoy con la otrahacergirarla
maneta (15) hasta llevarla a la posición«CLOSED».
APERTURA
-Noesposible abrirla tapa si la presiónesdiferentede 0bar.
-Para abrir,pulsarel botón (6) y conla otra manohacergirarla maneta (15)
hasta llevarla a la posición «OPEN»

ATENCIÓN
Si realiza despresurizaciónrápida,conecte una manguera de presión.
Fijarla manguera demanera que no pueda moverse por efectode la presión al
nal del ciclo.
Nosujetarla manguera conlasmanos.Esta manguera puede alcanzartemperatu-
rassuperioresa 60ºC.

8.3Puestaenmarcha
Una vezrealizadaslasoperacionesdel apartado8.1,hacerlosiguiente:
-Ponerla válvula lateral (12) enposición«Vapor».
-Seleccionarla temperatura de esterilización(121ºC/134ºC) mediante el selec-
tor (4).
-Seleccionarel tiempode esterilizacióncon el mandodel temporizador(5).

-Unavezcerrada la válvula (12)la temperaturayla presiónaumentanhastallegar
a 121ºC/1baro134ºC2barsegún se haya seleccionado.
-Cuandoel autoclavellega ala temperaturade trabajo, seenciende el indicador
verde (9) y se empieza a descontarel tiempode esterilización.
-Al acabarel tiempode esterilización seenciende elindicador(10)y el autoclave
naliza el ciclode esterilización.
8.4Final delaesterilización
Una vezterminadoel tiempode esterilización, contemplamosdoscasos:
-Esterilizaciónde sólidos:Sepuede hacerunadesvaporizaciónrápida poniendola
válvula (12) enla posición «vapor».
¡ATENCIÓN!
Lasalida(13) expulsavaporaaltatemperaturaypuedepro-
ducir quemadurassinose tomanprecauciones.
-Elautoclaveempezará el procesode purga durante el cualexpulsa el aire a tra-
vésde la salida (13).Al nal del procesodepurga,el autoclaveexpulsa vapor
solo(sinaire).Dosminutosdespuésesel momentode ponerla válvula (12) en
posición«Cerrado».

el agua de la caldera.
Posible solución:
1.Hacerlomismoqueparala causa1yasegurarsede queal volverainiciarel
procesodeesterilización,despuésdelpurgadosepongalaválvula(12)enposición
«Cerrado». Verapartado8.3.

2.2Autoclavereception
Handle the equipmentwithcare ina suitable way according toitsweightand con-
sidering itasa FRAGILEequipment.
Unpack andcheck thatthe contentscoincide withthe «packing list».Ifyousee
any damagesor something missing,please notifyyourdistributor assoon as
possible.
Keep the original package for some days.Afterwards,throwaway inthe rightway,
by separating itscomponentsintocardboard,wood and plastic.

5.1Sterilization

Donotexcessively charge the trays,the racksorthe baskets.Try alwaystoleave a
free spaceof 1or 2cmbetweenthem,inordertoletthe steampassthroughand
alsotomakedrying more easily.

Thecontainersshould be lled about2/3of theircapacity.DO NOT CLOSETHEM
hermetically,justcoverthemwitha cottonor some kind ofstoppertoletthe air

Avoid using narrowbottleneck containers.
At the end ofthe sterilization cycle,letthe autoclave freely cool down (till pressu-

7 Installation
7.1Location
Locatethe autoclave nearanappropriate powersource forthe machine.
Accordingtothecurrentlegislation,theautoclaveshouldbelocated in a
waythat thesafetyvalvedischargeoutletDONOTpoint toanypeopleor
couldnotreachthem incaseofsteamoutlet.
Install the autoclave overa flat,stable horizontal surface,suitable forthe machine
weight(see chapter3«Technical Speci cations»),leaving a free spaceof atleast
20cmaround the equipment.
Fix a hose tothe outlet(13).
8 Operation
8.1Preliminary operations forswitchingon
-Check thatthe lateral valve(12) isnotinthe «Drainage»position.
-Placetheheaterelementcovertray atthe bottomof the vessel.
-Fill the sterilizationchamberwithwatertill the heaterelementcoverrack.
-Plug the autoclave tothe mains.
-Pressthe mainswitchon(16).
-Placethematerial tobe sterilized.
-Close the lid.
8.2Openingandclosingthe lid
CLOSING
-Toclose,justpressoverthe lid withone hand and turn theknob (15) withthe
otherhand tillthe«CLOSED»position.
OPENING
-Itisnotpossible toopenthe lid ifthe pressure isdifferentto0bar.
-Toopen, pressthe button(6) and turn the knob (15) withtheotherhand till
the «OPEN»position.

WARNING
Ifyouuse the machineforquick depressurization,please x a pressure hose.
Fix the hose insucha waythatcannotmove by the effectofthe pressure atthe
end ofthe cycle.
Donothold the hose withthe hands.Itcould reachtemperatureshigherthan
60ºC.
