MORRIS CHAIR FOOTREST
Thank you for purchasing this L.L. Bean Home Morris Chair
Footrest. This product requires a Phillips screwdriver and a
hammer.

STEP 1
Read through these instructions
thoroughly before you begin
assembly. We have found this to be
of great value when first assembling
this product.
STEP 2
Remove all parts and hardware from
packing material. Wooden pieces
should be placed on a non-abrasive
surface (like the carton or carpet) to
prevent damage to the finish.
STEP 3
Identify all parts using diagram at
right
STEP 4
Identify and count hardware using
diagram at right.
Assembly of this product requires a
Phillips screwdriver and a hammer.
STEP 5
Stand one side assembly (A) on edge
and attach stretchers (B) using (2) 2
1/2” screws for each stretcher. Thread
screws into predrilled holes in side
assembly and into pilot hole in
stretcher.
NOTE: Grooves in stretchers need
to be on inside of sides and slot
towards the bottom.
Attach Crosspiece (C) using (2) 1 ¼”
screws. Thread screws into predrilled
holes on side assembly and into pilot
hole in crosspiece.

STEP 6
Slide Plywood Bottom (D) into
grooves on stretchers
STEP 7
Repeat STEP 5 with other
side (A).
Tap wooden plugs into holes
to conceal wood screws.
Place cushion on plywood
bottom.
