Das Produkt „Funktioneller Formausgleich C-Leg 3F1=1 / Funktioneller Formausgleich Genium
3F1=2“ wird im Folgenden Produkt/Formausgleich genannt.
Diese Gebrauchsanweisung gibt Ihnen wichtige Informationen zur Verwendung, Einstellung und
Handhabung des Produkts.
Nehmen Sie das Produkt nur gemäß den Informationen in den mitgelieferten Begleitdokumenten
in Betrieb.
2 Produktbeschreibung
2.1 Konstruktion
Der Formausgleich besteht aus folgenden Komponenten:
1. Nylonstrumpf
2. Funktionsüberzieher
3. Funktioneller Unterschenkel C-Leg / Funk
tioneller Unterschenkel Genium (wird im
Folgenden "Unterschenkel" genannt)
4. Funktionelles Knieteil C-Leg / Funktionel
les Knieteil Genium (wird im Folgenden
"Knieteil" genannt)
2.2 Funktion
Das Produkt ermöglicht ein möglichst natürliches Erscheinungsbild herzustellen. Das Produkt bil
det den äußeren Abschluss einer Prothese. Für die einwandfreie und sichere Funktion der Pro
these ist das Produkt nicht erforderlich.
Der Unterschenkel wird vom Orthopädietechniker zu einem möglichst natürlichen Erscheinungs
bild geformt. Schlieren, Farbunterschiede und kleine Lufteinschlüsse (bis 1cm) im Unterschen

kel werden vom Funktionsüberzieher kaschiert. Diese fertigungsbedingten Unterschiede beein
flussen die Funktion des Produkts nicht und sind daher kein Reklamationsgrund.
3 Verwendung
3.1 Verwendungszweck
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die prothetische Versorgung der unteren Extremität einzuset
zen.
Das Produkt dient der Verkleidung der Prothese im Sinne einer Wiederherstellung eines natürli
chen, möglichst unauffälligen Erscheinungsbildes.
3.2 Einsatzgebiet
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für C-Leg 3C98-3/3C88-3 und Genium 3B1-2/3B1-2=ST Träger
vorgesehen.
3.3 Einsatzbedingungen
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die Verwendung an einem Anwender vorgesehen. Der Ge
brauch des Produkts an einer weiteren Person ist von Seiten des Herstellers nicht zulässig.
Das Produkt wurde für Alltagsaktivitäten entwickelt und darf nicht für außergewöhnliche Tätigkei
ten wie zum Beispiel Extremsportarten (Freiklettern, Paragleiten, etc.) eingesetzt werden.
4 Sicherheit

6 Handhabung
6.1 Aus- und Anziehen
Anziehen des Funktionsüberziehers
Folgende Schritte für das Anziehen des Funktionsüberziehers durchführen:
1) Den beschichteten Knöchelteil des Funkti
onsüberziehers umschlagen (Beschich
tung zeigt nach außen).
2) Den Funktionsüberzieher über den Form
ausgleich nach oben ziehen.

Ausziehen des Funktionsüberziehers
Folgende Schritte für das Ausziehen des Funktionsüberziehers durchführen:

1) Den beschichteten Schaftteil des Funktionsüberziehers umschlagen (Beschichtung zeigt
nach außen).
2) Den Funktionsüberzieher über den Formausgleich nach unten ziehen.
INFORMATION: Der Funktionsüberzieher ist auf links gedreht.
6.2 Akku der Prothese laden
Akku laden mit Funktionellen Formausgleich C-Leg 3F1=1
1) Den Funktionsüberzieher soweit nach unten schieben, bis die Ladebuchse auf der Rückseite
der Prothese sichtbar ist.
2) Die Abdeckung der Ladebuchse öffnen.
3) Den Ladestecker an die Ladebuchse des Produkts anstecken.
INFORMATION: Die Gebrauchsanweisung der Prothese beachten.
Akku laden mit Funktionellen Formausgleich Genium 3F1=2
INFORMATION
Das induktive Ladegerät kann nach dem Anziehen des Funktionsüberziehers mit dem Funktio
nellen Formausgleich Genium 3F1=2 verwendet werden. Ein Freilegen der Ladeeinheit ist nicht
notwendig.
►Das induktive Ladegerät an den Empfänger der Ladeeinheit auf der Rückseite des Produkts
anlegen.
INFORMATION: Der Funktionsüberzieher muss nicht entfernt werden.
INFORMATION: Die Gebrauchsanweisung der Prothese beachten.
7 Reinigung und Pflege
7.1 Reinigung des Formausgleichs
►Das Produkt mit einem feuchten, weichen Tuch reinigen und anschließend trocknen lassen.
7.2 Reinigung des Funktionsüberziehers
►Das Produkt bei 30°C/86°F in der Waschmaschine waschen (Programm: Pflegeleicht oder
Feinwaschgang).
INFORMATION
Die Waschsymbole am Etikett beachten.
INFORMATION
Der Trocknungsvorgang kann zwischen 12 und 24 Stunden dauern. Es empfiehlt sich ein zwei
ter Funktionsüberzieher zum Wechseln.
7.3 Pflege des Funktionsüberziehers
• Das Silikonband an der Innenseite des Funktionsüberziehers jeden dritten Tag feucht abwi
schen.
8 Rechtliche Hinweise
8.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und Anweisungen in diesem
Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbe
sondere durch unsachgemäße Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verur
sacht werden, haftet der Hersteller nicht.

Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinie 93/42/EWG für Medizinpro
dukte. Aufgrund der Klassifizierungskriterien nach AnhangIX dieser Richtlinie wurde das Produkt
in die KlasseI eingestuft. Die Konformitätserklärung wurde deshalb vom Hersteller in alleiniger
Verantwortung gemäß AnhangVII der Richtlinie erstellt.
8.3 Markenzeichen
Alle innerhalb des vorliegenden Dokuments genannten Bezeichnungen unterliegen uneinge
schränkt den Bestimmungen des jeweils gültigen Kennzeichenrechts und den Rechten der jewei
ligen Eigentümer.

These instructions for use provide you with important information on the use, adaptation and
handling of the product.

2 Product description
2.1 Design
The functional cosmesis consists of the following components:
1. Sheath
2. Functional stocking
3. Functional shank C-Leg / functional shank
Genium (referred to as "functional shank"
in the following)
4. Functional cosmesis C-Leg (knee part) /
functional cosmesis Genium (knee part)
(referred to as "functional knee part" in the
following)
2.2 Function
The product helps create the most natural possible appearance. The product forms the exterior
finish of a prosthesis. The product is not required for the proper and safe functioning of the pros
thesis.
The functional shank is shaped by the O&P professional to create the most natural possible
appearance. Streaks, colour differences and small air pockets (up to 1cm) in the functional
shank are concealed by the functional stocking. These differences, which are due to production
reasons, do not affect the function of the product and therefore do not constitute grounds for
complaints.
3 Application
3.1 Indications for use
The product is to be used solely for lower limb prosthetic fittings.
The product serves to finish the prosthesis in the sense of restoring a natural appearance that is
as inconspicuous as possible.
3.2 Area of application
The product is intended exclusively for wearers of the 3C98-3/3C88-3 C-Leg and
3B1-2/3B1-2=ST Genium.

3.3 Conditions of use
The product is intended exclusively for use on one user. Use of the product by another person is
not approved by the manufacturer.
The product was developed for everyday use and must not be used for unusual activities such as
extreme sports (free climbing, paragliding, etc.).

5 Scope of delivery

6 Handling
6.1 Putting on and taking off
Putting on the functional stocking
Complete the following steps to put on the functional stocking:
1) Fold over the coated ankle part of the func
tional stocking (coating faces out).
2) Pull the functional stocking up over the
functional cosmesis.
INFORMATION: Note the alignment of
the functional stocking (zones).
Taking off the functional stocking
Complete the following steps to take off the functional stocking:
1) Fold over the coated socket part of the functional stocking (coating faces out).
2) Pull the functional stocking down over the functional cosmesis.
INFORMATION: The functional stocking is turned inside-out.
6.2 Charging the prosthesis battery
Charging the battery with the 3F1=1 functional cosmesis C-Leg
1) Push the functional stocking down until the charging receptacle on the rear of the prosthesis
is visible.
2) Open the charging receptacle cover.
3) Connect the charging plug to the charging receptacle of the product.

Charging the battery with the 3F1=2 functional cosmesis Genium
INFORMATION
The inductive charger can be used with the 3F1=2 functional cosmesis Genium after putting on
the functional stocking. Exposing the charging unit is not necessary.
►Connect the inductive charger to the receiver of the charging unit on the rear of the product.
INFORMATION: The functional stocking does not need to be removed.
INFORMATION: Observe the instructions for use for the prosthesis.
7 Cleaning and Care
7.1 Cleaning the functional cosmesis
►Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth and then let it dry.
7.2 Cleaning the functional stocking
►Wash the product at 30°C/86°F in a washing machine (setting: easy care or delicates).

2 Description du produit
2.1 Construction
Le revêtement de compensation de forme est constitué des composants suivants:

4. Pièce de genou fonctionnelle C-Leg/pièce

2.2 Fonctionnement
Le produit permet de créer une apparence la plus naturelle possible. Le produit complète
l’aspect extérieur d’une prothèse. Il n’est pas nécessaire d’utiliser le produit pour un fonctionne
ment parfait et fiable de la prothèse.
La jambe est formée par l’orthoprothésiste de sorte que son apparence soit la plus naturelle pos
sible. Les stries, les différences de couleurs et les petites bulles d’air (jusqu’à 1cm) que com
portent la jambe sont dissimulées sous le bas fonctionnel. Ces différences dues à la fabrication
n’altèrent pas la fonctionnalité du produit et ne constituent donc pas un motif de réclamation.
3 Utilisation
3.1 Usage prévu
Le produit est exclusivement destiné à l’appareillage prothétique des membres inférieurs.
Le produit permet d’habiller la prothèse en vue de créer une apparence la plus discrète possible
et naturelle.
3.2 Domaine d’application
Le produit est prévu uniquement pour les porteurs d’une prothèse C-Leg 3C98-3/3C88-3 et Ge
nium 3B1-2/3B1-2=ST.
3.3 Conditions d’utilisation
Le produit est exclusivement prévu pour l’appareillage d’un seul utilisateur. Le fabricant interdit
toute utilisation du produit sur une tierce personne.
Le produit a été conçu pour des activités de la vie quotidienne et ne doit pas être utilisé pour des
activités inhabituelles telles que des sports extrêmes (escalade libre, parapente, etc.).

6 Manipulation
6.1 Mise en place et retrait
Mise en place du bas fonctionnel
Exécutez les étapes suivantes pour mettre en place le bas fonctionnel:
1) Rabattez la partie de la cheville du bas
fonctionnel comportant un revêtement (le
revêtement est dirigé vers le haut).
2) Tirez le bas fonctionnel vers le haut sur le
revêtement de compensation de forme.
INFORMATION: Veillez à ce que le bas
fonctionnel soit correctement position
né (zones).
Retrait du bas fonctionnel
Exécutez les étapes suivantes pour retirer le bas fonctionnel:
1) Rabattez la partie de l’emboîture du bas fonctionnel comportant un revêtement (le revêtement
est dirigé vers le haut).
2) Tirez le bas fonctionnel vers le bas sur le revêtement de compensation de forme.
INFORMATION: Le bas fonctionnel est à l’envers.
6.2 Charger l’accumulateur de la prothèse
Charger l’accumulateur avec le revêtement fonctionnel de compensation de forme C-Leg
3F1=1
1) Baissez le bas fonctionnel jusqu’à ce que la prise chargeur soit visible au dos de la prothèse.
2) Ouvrez la protection de la prise chargeur.
3) Branchez le connecteur de charge à la prise chargeur du produit.
INFORMATION: Respectez les instructions d’utilisation de la prothèse.

Charger l’accumulateur avec le revêtement fonctionnel de compensation de forme Ge
nium 3F1=2
INFORMATION
Après la mise en place du bas fonctionnel, le chargeur par induction peut être utilisé avec le re
vêtement fonctionnel de compensation de forme Genium 3F1=2. Vous n’avez pas besoin de dé
gager l’accès à l’unité de charge.
►Appliquez le chargeur par induction sur le récepteur de l’unité de charge au dos du produit.
INFORMATION: Ne retirez pas le bas fonctionnel.
INFORMATION: Respectez les instructions d’utilisation de la prothèse.
7 Nettoyage et entretien
7.1 Nettoyage du revêtement de compensation de forme
►Nettoyez le produit à l’aide d’un chiffon doux humide et laissez-le sécher.
7.2 Nettoyage du bas fonctionnel
►Lavez le produit à la machine, à 30°C/86°F (programme: Synthétique ou Linge délicat).

Respectez les symboles de lavage de l’étiquette.
INFORMATION
Le séchage peut durer entre 12 et 24 heures. Il est conseillé de disposer d’un deuxième bas
fonctionnel pour remplacer l’autre.
7.3 Entretien du bas fonctionnel
• Avec un chiffon humide, nettoyez tous les trois jours la bande en silicone qui se trouve à
l’intérieur du bas fonctionnel.
