Items needed for installation:
• Network Tap/Cable
• Static IP Address for VoIP Interface (Matches PC with VoIP Card)
• IP Address of SIP Server (Matches Subnet of card with PC Subnet)
• PC with Network Interface Card
*Please note address for VoIP Interface must be on the same network as SIP Server.
Getting Started:
1. Connect PoE in port of Trendnet unit to PoE Ethernet Port
2. Connect LAN port of VoIP Interface to PC
Changing PC IP Address:
1. Navigate to PC Control Panel
2. Navigate to Network Settings
3. Change PC IPAddress to 192.168.2.15
4. Change Subnet Make to 255.255.255.0
*Note your original PC IPAddress, you will need to change it
back after device configuration.
Logging into VoIP Interface:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Enter 192.168.2.16 in browser bar, this will take you to login screen
3. Log-In as “Admin” and Password “1,2,3,4)
*See Figure 1 example

Navigating VoIP Interface:
1. Click on “Basic Settings” under the menu options on left hand side
2. Click on “Region” under “Basic Settings”
Region Settings:
1. Set the “CPTG” to “USA/Canada”
2. Set the “Ring” to “USA/Canada”
3. Set “Time Zone” to your corresponding Time Zone
4. Click “Submit”

1. Navigate to “SIP” under “Basic Settings”
2. Check “Enable” box next to “SIP Trunk”
3. Click “Proxy” for “SIP Trunk Mode”
4. Enter device extension for SIP ID (Same as information entered on SIP Server)
Authentication:
1. Create Authentication ID
2. Create Authentication Password
3. Enter Registrar Server Address (SIP Server IP)
4. Click Submit
Network Settings:
1. Navigate to “Network” under “Basic Settings” from the left hand menu bar
2. Verify routing mode is NAT
3. Set the WAN IPAddress to “Static”
4. Set the IP address and Subnet Mask for VoIP Phone (Provided by Network Administrator)
5. Set the Default Gateway
6. Click Submit
7. When Pop-Up for re-starting device appears click “OK” and wait 3 minutes for device to register on network.
Connecting Device to Network:
1. Connect PC to network
2. Change the IPAddress of the PC back to it’s original
3. Open “Command Prompt” from Start Menu and ping the IP address of the VoIP Interface

ONSITE PROGRAMMING:
Step 1. To Begin Program mode
A. Press Enter
Step 2. To Program Emergency Numbers
A. Press 1, Enter, (phone number), Stop
Note: Press 2-5 in step 2A for Emergency numbers 2-5 as needed
Step 3. To Program Location message
A. To turn on message Press 1, 3, Enter, 2
B. Press 6, Record (speak message) Stop (to replay message Press 6, Play)
C. For no message Press 1, 3, Enter, 0
Step 4. To exit program mode
A. Press Stop for 3 seconds

Testing of the Phone:
Push the silver emergency button on front of the Call Box:
Did you hear a dial tone?
Did red LED become a solid light when you pushed the button?
Did red LED flash and someone starting talking to you?
Could you hear the other party clearly? (if no, see “Adjust Speaker” on the next page)
Could the other party hear you clearly? (If no, see “Adjust Microphone on the next page)
Yes No
If you have answered YES to all questions, you have successfully installed and tested your new
emergency phone.

Adjusting the Volume:
If the volume is too low or high, adjust it by referring to the diagram and instructions below.
*Note - Refer to the instructions under Programming the Phone to access the circuit board.
Adjusting the Microphone:
If the person you are calling reports your voice is not loud enough, increase the Microphone Sensitivity by
adjusting VR2 ¼ turn clockwise (requires a small Phillips screwdriver).
Adjusting the Speaker:
If the voice of the person you call is not loud enough in the emergency phone speaker, increase the
Volume, by adjusting VR1 ¼ turn clockwise.

Troubleshooting:
Problem Possible Cause & Fixes
No dial tone when the
button is pushed:
• Check to make sure the phone line connected to Smart Phone 6 off of VoIP Interface.
Audio is low from the
speaker:
• Speaker control needs to be adjusted.
Called Party says audio
is low: • Microphone control needs to be adjusted.
When called party
hangs up, phone still • Slow disconnect signal from the VoIP Interface. This can be adjusted in the VoIP
interface settings.
When called party
hangs up, strobe
continues to flash:
• Phone company or phone system is not providing a disconnect signal. Contact
the appropriate party to make sure the disconnect signal is provided.
Call Box appears non -
functional. No audio is
heard from speaker
when button is pushed:
• Check to make sure phone line is connected to FXS port on VoIP Interface.
• Push button may be nonfunctional. Remove black Switch JST connector from SmartPhone
• VoIP Interface may not be recognized on network.
• Check to make sure phone line is connected to FXS port on VoIP Interface
• Verify network connectivity going to unit.

Unit will not call
