GENERAL INFORMATION
GENERAL FEATURES
SWING2controlunithasbeen deignedinorder tomanageone ortwoswing operatorswithoutlimit switch.Itsdimensions are
very small, four different operation modes, possibility to adjust many parameters using the trimmer and dip switch, in addition
thepossibilitytomanagetheuseoftheencoderthroughthesafetygatedevice.
The absolute news of such electronic unit consists in two different learning modes of working times. Besides the
standard and intuitive selflearning mode of working times (the same for GATE2), it gives the possibility to learn
MANUALLYtheworkingtimes,actingsimplyonTRIMMERRv4ADJUSTMENT.

SETTING
For the security of persons it is important to follow with attention all the advises and instructions in this manual. A
wronginstallationorawronguseoftheproductcancauseseverdammagestopersons.
Makesure thattheinstallationhas anadeguate differentialswitch asprescribed bythe lawinforce and provideon thepower
supply net a magnetothermic omnipolar switch. For the installation of the electric cables use adeguate rigid and/or flexible
tubes.
Keepalwaysseparatetheconnection cablesof low voltageaccessoiresfrom thoseof115/230V~powersupply.Toavoid any
interferenceuseseparatecasings. 2

Whenthis functionisactivated,theimpulses comingfrom anencoderplaced onthe motoror onthe
gate are managed, so that any obstacle which interrupts the passage can be detected and the gate
reversesitsmovement.
Ifamalfunctioningoccurs, theflashinglampwillexecuteasequenceof3flashings.
Aftereverysingleinterventionthegateproceedsatreducedspeeduntilitreachesthepositivestop.

Whenthis function isactivated motor speedreduces slowly beforethe gate reachesthe limit switch
stopor beforetheoperatingtimeends.This functionis designedinorder toget theleaf gentlycloser
to the mechanical stops, avoiding any noisy clash. The closing speed is fixed, while the slowdown
timecanbeadjustedusingthetrimmerRv2.

LEAFLOCKING
When this function is activated, at the end of slowdown phase, and when the leaf has reached the
mechanical stop, the motor is supplied at maximum power for 1 second approximately. This
increasestheoilpressureinthemotorandmakesthehydrauliclockmoreeffective.
WARNING:this functionmustnot be activatedon aslidinggate sinceit could causethe over
-runningofthelimitswitches,withfollowingblockoftheautomation.

TRIMMER ADJUSTMENTS
MOTORTORQUEADJUSTMENT
This trimmer allows to adjust the thrust force of the motor reducer. This kind of adjustment is required for operators
without mechanical / hydraulic device for power limitation. The adjustment must be executed so that there is no
crushingdangerforpeopleorobjectsandinanycaseinaccordance withthelawinforceonthematter.
SLOWDOWNTIMEADJUSTMENT/LEAFDELAYINWORKINGTIMESMODE WITHTRIMMER
Thistrimmer has adouble functionalitydepending on theselected workingmode. In workingtimes selflearningmode
it allows to adjust the length of slowdown time. In working times manual adjusting mode (DIP 8 to ON position) this
trimmermanagestheleafdelay.
PAUSE TIME ADJUSTMENT
This trimmer allows the linear adjustment of pause time from 0 to 120 sec. (If you rotate it completely clockwise,
you can adjust the working logics setting it in half-automatics).
ENCODER SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT / WORKING TIMES WITH TRIMMER
Thistrimmer has adouble functionalitydepending on theselected workingmode. In workingtimes selflearningmode
itallows toadjustthe encodersensitivity, Inworking timesmanualadjusting mode(DIP8to ONposition), thistrimmer
managestheopeningandclosingtimeoftheautomation.
Note: The Encoder must be set following the laws in force. The maximum sensitivity is obtained with the
trimmerRv4completelyinclockwiseposition.

When the photocells beam is crossed, the automation
reversesitsmovementifinclosingphase.
To use the photocells self- testing connect the (+) of the TX
photocell1withcontact11insteadof 10.
Note: When not used make a jumper between contact 7
and2ofCn1.
Note: With the PALM device it is possible to set this
photocell as PHOTOCLOSE, that means, that if occupied
during the pause, the automation interrupts the same and
reclosesimmediately.

Whenthephotocellsbeam iscrossed,theautomation reverses
its movement if in closing phase. In opening it causes the stop
of the gate until it is occupied, when released the gate returns
into open postion. Note: When not used make a jumper

PHOTOSTOP, that means that it does not allow to the gate
to open, while it does not intervene during the remaining
opening.

After executing the four programming steps of the card, after connecting the encoder of both the motors and
executing themotor torque adjustments using trimmer RV1 and/or mechanical adjustment devices (by-pass
valves),place DIP4to ONpositionandrepeattheprogrammingprocedure.
If necessary it’ s possible to disable the SAFETY GATE management placing DIP 4 to OFF position, without
repeatingtheself-learningtimesprocedure.

encoder on a scale from 0 to 15, where 0
indicates the max. sensibility during the
inversion.
Note: Every time when there is no current
supply and after every osbstacle the
automation, when no limit switches are
installed, will proceed slowly until it reaches
thestop.

If you are installing a motor reducer equipped with mechanical / hydraulic anticrushing device, set the motor torque
(trimmerRv1)atmaximumvalueandmakethemotortorqueadjustmentusingtheappropriate by-passvalvesorclutch
adjustmentscrewslocatedontheoperators.
If you are installing a motor reducer not equipped with mechanical / hydraulic power limitaiton device,set the motor
torque at maximum value ONLY during the selflearning phase. Immediately afterwards set a motor torque value which
canassuretheanticrushingsafety,inaccordancewiththelawinforcei.

On the contrary, if the gate executes a too long complete opening / closing cycle, decrease trimmer Rv4

Repeattheprocedureuntilthegatewillreachthecompleteandrequestedopeningandclosingcycle.

TERMS OF SALE
EFFICACY OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SALE: The following general terms of sale shall be applied to all orders sent to
SEAsrl.All sales made by SEA to all customers are made under the prescription of this terms of sales which are integral part
of the sale contract and cancel and substitute all opposed clauses or specific negotiations present in the order or in other
documentsreceivedfromthebuyer.
GENERAL NOTICE Thegate automation systemsmustbe assembled exclusively withSEAcomponents,unless specificagreements
apply. Non-compliance with the applicable safety standards (European Standards EN 12453 EN12445 and others) and with good
installation practice releases SEAfrom any responsibilities. SEAshall not be held responsible for any failure to execute a correct and
safeinstallationundertheabovementionedstandards.
1) PROPOSED ORDER The proposed order shall be accepted only prior SEAapproval of it. By signing the proposed order, the Buyer
shall be bound to enter a purchase agreement, according to the specifications stated in the proposed order and always under those
Termsofsale.Ontheother hand,failuretonotifythe Buyerofsaidapproval mustnotbeconstruedas automaticacceptanceonthepart
ofSEA.
2) PERIOD OF THE OFFER The offer proposed by SEA or by its branch sales department shall be valid for 30 solar days, unless
otherwisenotified.
3) PRICING The prices in the proposed order are quoted from the Price List which is valid on the date the order was issued. The
discounts granted by the branch sales department of SEAshall apply only prior to acceptance on the part of SEA. The prices are for
merchandise delivered ex-works from the SEA establishment in Teramo, not including VAT and special packaging. SEAreserves the
righttochangeatanytimethispricelist,providingtimelynoticetothesalesnetwork.
4) PAYMENTS The accepted forms of payment are each time notified or approved by SEA. The interest rate on delay in payment shall
be1.5%everymonthbutanywayshallnotbehigherthanthemax.interestratelegallypermitted.
5)DELIVERYDeliveryshalltakeplace,approximatelyandnotperemptorily,within30workingdaysfromthedateofreceiptoftheorder,
unlessotherwisenotified.TransportofthegoodssoldshallbeatBuyer'scostandrisk.SEAshallnotbearthecostsofdeliverygivingthe

6) COMPLAINTS Anycomplaintsand/orclaims shall be sent toSEAwithin 8 solar daysfrom receiptof thegoods, provedby adequate
supportingdocumentsastotheirtruthfulness.
7) SUPPLY The concerning order will be accepted by SEA without any engagement and subordinately to the possibility to get it's
supplies of raw material which is necessary for the production;.Eventual completely or partially unsuccessful executions cannot be
reasonforcomplainsorreservationsfordamage.SEAsupplyisstrictlylimitedtothegoodsofitsmanufacturing,notincludingassembly,
installation and testing. SEA, therefore, disclaims any responsibility for damage deriving, also to third parties, from noncompliance of
safetystandardsandgoodpracticeduringinstallationanduseofthepurchasedproducts.
8)WARRANTY.
SILVER: The mechanical components of the operators belonging to this line are guaranteed for 24 months from the date of
manufacturingwrittenontheoperator.
GOLD: The mechanical components of the operators belonging to this line are guaranteed for 36 months from the date of
manufacturingwrittenontheoperator.
PLATINUM: The mechanical components of the operators belonging to this line are guaranteed for 36 months from the date of
manufacturingwrittenontheoperator.Thebasewarranty(36months)willbeextendedforfurther24months(uptoatotalof60months)
when it is acquired the certificate of warranty which will be filled in and sent to SEA s.r.l. within 30 days from the purchase date. The
electronic devices and the systems of command are guaranteed for 24 months from the date of manufacturing. In case of defective
product,SEAundertakestoreplacefreeofchargeortorepairthegoodsprovidedthattheyarereturnedtoSEArepaircentre.
The definition of warranty status is by unquestionable assessment of SEA. The replaced parts shall remain propriety of SEA. Binding
upon the parties, the material held in warranty by the Buyer, must be sent back to SEA repair centre with fees prepaid, and shall be
dispatchedbySEAwithcarriageforward.Thewarrantyshallnotcoveranyrequiredlabour activities.Therecognizeddefects,whatever
theirnature,shallnotproduceanyresponsibilityand/ordamageclaimonthepartoftheBuyeragainstSEA.Theguaranteeisinnocase
recognizedifchangesaremadetothegoods,orinthecaseofimproperuse,orinthecaseoftamperingorimproperinstallation,orifthe
productlabelofthemanufacturerwiththeregisteredSEAtrademarkn°804888hasbeenremoved.Furthermore,thewarrantyshallnot
apply if SEA products are partly or completely coupled with non-original mechanical and/or electronic components, and in particular,
withoutaspecificrelevantauthorization,andiftheBuyerisnotmakingregularpayments.Thewarrantyshallnotcoverdamagecaused
by transport, expendable material, faults due to non-conformity with performance specifications of the products shown in the price list.
Noindemnificationisgrantedduringrepairingand/orreplacingofthegoodsinwarranty.SEAdisclaimsanyresponsibilityfordamageto
objects and persons deriving from non-compliance with safety standards, installation instructions or use of sold goods. The repairs of
productsinwarrantyandoutofwarrantyisacceptedonlyiftheprocedureofSEAarefullyrespectedbythecustomer.
9) RESERVED DOMAIN Aclause of reserveddomain appliestothe sold goods; SEAshall decideautonomously whetherto makeuse
ofitornot,wherebytheBuyeracquiresthepropertyofthegoodsonlyafterfullpaymentoftheinvoice.
10) COMPETENT COURT OF LAW Incase of disputes arising from the application of the agreement, thecompetent court of law is the
tribunalofTeramo.Theofficiallanguagefortheinterpretationofthecatalogue,themanuals,thetermsofsaleandanyotheristheitalian
language.SEAreservesthefacultytomaketechnical changes to improve its own products,whichareandarenotincluded in this price
listatanymomentandwithoutnotice.
SEAdeclinesany responsibility dueto possiblemistakescontainedinsidethe present price listcausedby printing and/or copying.The
present price list cancels and substitutes the previous ones. The Buyer, according to the law No. 196/2003 (privacy code) consents to
put his personal data, deriving from the present contract, in SEA archives and electronic files, and he also gives his consent to their
treatmentforcommercialandadministrativepurposes.
Industrial ownership rights: with the purchase, the buyer accepts in full the present Terms of Sale and recognizes that SEA has the
exclusivelegal ownershipoftheregistered SEAInternationaltrademark n°804888whichis attachedoneachproductslabel,and/oron
manuals,packagingand/orinany otherdocumentation,andhewillcommithimselftouseitinitsmarketingand/orinstallationactivityin
a way which does not reduce the value of these rights; he won't also remove, replace or modify the trademark or any other particularity
