2 Información general
Manipular el paquete con cuidado. Desembalar y comprobar que el contenido según
la “Lista de embalaje”. Si se observa algún componente dañado o faltante, avisar
rápidamente al distribuidor.
No instalar ni utilizar el equipo sin leer, previamente, este manual de instrucciones.
Forma parte inseparable del equipo y debe estar disponible a todos los usuarios de
la máquina. Cualquier duda puede ser aclarada contactando con el servicio técnico
de J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Toda modicación, eliminación o falta de mantenimiento de cualquier dispositivo
de la máquina, provoca que el fabricante no se hace responsable de los daños que
pudieran derivarse.
No utilizar el equipo con uidos que puedan desprender vapores o formar mezclas
explosivas o inamables.
Mantenimiento
La manipulación de los circuitos electrónicos por personal no autorizado
puede provocar daños de difícil reparación. Consulte al servicio técnico
autorizado de J.P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Para la limpieza de las partes accesibles, utilice limpiacristales o un producto similar.
No utilizar disolventes agresivos.

6 Instalación
6.1 Emplazamiento
• Situar el aparato cerca de una toma de corriente adecuada a su consumo sobre
una supercie plana (nivelada) y sucientemente robusta para soportar el peso
del equipo y eventuales vibraciones.
• La supercie de apoyo debe permitir la adherencia de las patas de la centrifuga.
• Dejar un espacio libre de 30 cm. alrededor (Ver indicación de peligro).
• Este equipo puede provocar vibraciones que afecte a otros equipos cercanos.
• No instalar la centrífuga cerca de fuentes de calor o en lugares donde esté ex-
puesta a la luz solar, ya que podría afectar a la regulación de temperatura.
• Colocar la tetina suministrada en la salida (16) y conectar una manguera para
desaguar los condensados.
• Los equipos con ruedas, asegurar que estén frenadas antes de la puesta en
marcha.
5 Introducción
La centrífuga tiene un motor de inducción libre de mantenimiento y un nivel sonoro
máximo de 60 dBA. Dispone de una cámara interna de seguridad y una cubeta,
contratapa en acero inoxidable.
El circuito electrónico está controlado por un microprocesador que controla los paráme-
tros de funcionamiento: velocidad, aceleración, freno, RCF, tiempo de funcionamiento
y temperatura en los modelos 7001486/7001477. Tiene capacidad para almacenar
hasta 10 programas de funcionamiento.

6.2 Primera apertura de la tapa y apertura de emergencia.
Al recibir la centrífuga, el cable de conexión de red se encuentra en el interior de la
cubeta y, por tanto, la única manera de abrir es seguir las siguientes indicaciones:
- Extraer los tapones de plástico laterales de la máquina.
- Tirar cuidadosamente de ambos tapones y la tapa se abrirá.
UTILICE ESTE SISTEMA DE APERTURA, SÓLO PARA UNA APER-
TURA DE EMERGENCIA.
No usar nunca el dispositivo de apertura de emergen-
cia cuando el motor esté girando.
6.3 Conexión a la red eléctrica
Asegúrese que el equipo se conecta a una tensión de red que coincide con la indicada
en la placa de características.
No utilice el equipo sin estar conectada la toma de tierra.
Utilice sólo el cable suministrado para la conexión de red.
Asegúrese de hacer encajar la
chaveta del eje del motor en su
alojamiento.
Apriete rmemente la tuerca del cabezal
con la llave suministrada.
Colocar los adaptadores y tubos de forma
equilibrada.
6.4 Colocación del cabezal
Antes de poner en marcha la centrífuga, asegúrese de haber colocado el cabezal de
forma correcta ya que de lo contrario se podrían producir daños en el equipo.

7 Menús de funcionamiento
Pulsar el interruptor ON/OFF.
Aparece el contador de horas de los elementos de la centrífuga con
vida útil limitada.

*no es posible utilizar la centrífuga si no existe un cabezal montado. El
equipo dispone de un lector de cabezal que lo identica para seleccionar
los parámetros correctos. Sin cabezal queda bloqueado.
Transcurridos unos segundos, aparece la pantalla de menú principal.
Desde el menú principal, pulsando sobre la propia pantalla táctil,
seleccionar:
AJUSTES: Para actualizar fecha, hora, idioma, descarga de datos,
actualizaciones del sofware, inicializar contadores de vida útil.
PROGRAMACIÓN: Para denir los programas para el tratamiento de
la muestras y seleccionar el programa activo:
- Tiempos
- Velocidad
- Temperatura
- Rotor
TRABAJO: Para poner en marcha el programa seleccionado y ver su
evolución.
7.1 Ajustes
Establecer en esta pantalla los siguientes ajustes:
IDIOMA: Castellano, Inglés, Francés.
FECHA y HORA.
UNIDADES de temperatura en ºF ó ºC.
INTRODUCIR / CAMBIAR CONTRASEÑA.
Acceso con contraseña para actualizaciones de software o reinicio de
los contadores de vida útil.
ROTORES: Permite ver la lista de rotores disponibles para este equipo.
El rotor en uso aparecerá marcado con un (*) al lado del código.
El tipo de rotor se selecciona en el programa de trabajo.
Ejemplo de tiempos acumulados de trabajo de los
componentes con vida útil limitada.

7.2 Programación
En este menú se establecen los parámetros de un programa.
Seleccionar el programa a editar
- Tecla Rotor: para entrar la identicación del rotor. Esto limita la
programación para evitar situaciones peligrosas.
- Tecla Temperatura: para establecer la temperatura de trabajo
(sólo en modelos refrigerados)
- Tecla Save: para guardar los datos.
- Tecla Home: para volver al menú principal.
- Tecla Edit: para editar las “Fases”
Pulsar “Edit” para editar las “Fases”. Como mínimo deberá tener 2 fases:
1- Fase de aceleración (slope)
Ajuste la velocidad de trabajo y el tiempo de aceleración para llegar a
dicha velocidad (slope).
Ajuste el tiempo que se mantendrá a la velocidad programada (rpm)
Se pueden añadir hasta 4 pasos adicionales, hasta la fase de frenado
(total 6 pasos).
Ajuste como en la fase de aceleración, la velocidad, el tiempo y el tiempo
de aceleración. Para añadir pasos, pulse la tecla +.
2- Fase de frenado
La última fase del programa siempre es la fase de frenado. En esta
fase sólo se permite ajustar el tiempo de frenado (ya que la velocidad
nal será de 0 rpm).
Pulse el icono “SEL” para seleccionar el programa actual como el activo.
Nota: Todos los programas son modicables por el usuario.

7.3 Ejecutar un programa (TRABAJO)
Desde el menú principal, pulsar sobre «TRABAJO».
Se ejecutará el programa seleccionado en el apartado anterior.
Pulsar sobre «RUN» para inIciar el programa.
El programa se pone en marcha y muestra la siguiente información:
- Nº de programa y nº de rotor.
- Velocidad actual y velocidad objetivo.
- Tiempo transcurrido (minutos, segundos) y tiempo objetivo.
- Temperatura en la cubeta y temperatura objetivo.
Pulsar sobre «RPM» para que la pantalla muestre «RCF».
RPM: Revoluciones por minuto.
RCF: Número de «g» (Aceleración de la gravedad) a la que está sometida
la muestra.
El programa avisa al nalizar con un largo bip.
Pulsar sobre “STOP” para nalizar la ejecución del programa.
Pulsar “OPEN” para abrir la tapa.
Pulsar “BACK” para regresar a la pantalla principal.

2 General information
Handle the package with care. Unpack and check that the contents coincides with
the “Packing List”. If any part is damaged or missing, please advise the distributor

manual. They are an inseparable part of the equipment and should be available to
all users of the machine. Any questions can be claried by contacting J.P. SELECTA’s
technical service.
Any modication, deletion or lack of maintenance of the device could cause damages.

Do not use the equipment with uids which can give off vapors or form explosive or
ammable mixtures.
Maintenance
Manipulation of electronic circuits by unauthorized persons may cause
damages difcult to repair. Check with J.P. SELECTA’s technical service.
To clean the accessible parts, use cleaner or a similar product. Do not use aggressive
solvents.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for one year. The warranty does not cover damages caused
by an improper use or causes beyond J. P. SELECTA, s.a.u.
Any manipulation of the equipment by an unauthorized personnel cancels the warranty

6 Installation
6.1 Location
• Place the equipment near a power socket suitable for consumption and over a at
level surface and strong enough to support the equipment weight and possible
vibrations.
• The surface must allow the adherence of the centrifuge legs.
• Leave a free space of 30 cm. around it (see danger indication).
• This equipment can cause vibrations that could affect other nearby equipments.
• Do not install the centrifuge near heat sources or in places where it is exposed
to direct sunlight, as this may affect temperature regulation.
• Place the nipple provided in outlet (16) and connect to a hose to drain conden-
sates.
• Equipments with wheels, ensure that they are braked prior to start-up.
5 Introduction
The centrifuge has an induction motor maintenance free and a maximum noise level
of 60 dBA. It has an internal security camera and a bucket, stainless steel cover.
The electronic circuit is controlled by a microprocessor that controls the operating
parameters: speed, acceleration, braking, RCF, operating time and temperature on
models 7001486/7001477. It can store up to 10 operating programs.

6.2 First lid opening and emergency opening
Upon receiving the centrifuge, the network connection cable is inside the tank and
therefore the only way to open the equipment is following these instructions:
- Remove the equipment side plastic caps.
- Gently push from both caps, and the lid will open.
USE THIS OPENING SYSTEM FOR EMERGENCY OPENING ONLY.
NEVER use the device emergency opening when the
engine is rotating.
6.3 Connection to the mains
Make sure that the equipment is connected to the mains and that the voltage coincides
with the indicated on the features plate.
Do not use an equipment without being earthed.
Only use the supplied cable for network connection.
Make sure to t the pin of the motor
shaft in its housing.
Firmly tighten the nut of the rotor with the
provided key.
Place the adapters and tubes evenly.
6.4 Rotor positioning
Before starting the centrifuge, ensure that you have placed the rotor in a proper way,
otherwise it could cause damages on the equipment.

7 Operating menus
Press the ON/Off switch.
The hour counter of the centrifugal elements appears with limited
service life.

* It is not possible to use the centrifuge if there is no mounted head.
The device has a head reader that identies it to select the correct
parameters. Without head is locked.
After a few seconds, the main menu screen appears.
You can select from the main menu, by pressing on the touch screen:
SETTINGS: To update date, time, language, data download, software
updates, life counters initialization.
PROGRAMMING: To dene the programs for samples treatment and
to select the active program:
- Times
- Speed
- Temperature
- Rotor
WORKING: To operate the selected program and see its evolution.
7.1 Settings
Set the following settings in this screen::
LANGUAGE: Spanish, English & French.
DATE & TIME.
TEMPERATURE UNITS in ºF or ºC.
ENTER / CHANGE PASSWORD: Password access for software updates
or restart life counters.
ROTORS: View the list of rotors available for this equipment. Rotor in
use will be marked with an (*) next to the code.
The rotor type is selected in the work program.

7.2 Programming
In this menu the program parameters are set.
Select the program to edit.
- Rotor key: Enter the rotor identication. This limits the programming
to avoid dangerous situations.
- Temperature key: To set the working temperature (only refrigera-
ted models)
- Save key: To save the data.
- Home key: To return to the main menu.
- Edit key: To edit “Phases”.
Press “Edit” to edit the “Phases”. Ther must be at least 2 phases:
1- Acceleration (slope)
Adjust the working speed and acceleration time to reach that speed
(slope).
Set the time that will be maintained at the programmed speed (rpm).
Up to 4 additional steps can be added, and up to the braking phase
(total 6 steps).
Adjust as in the acceleration phase, speed, time and acceleration time.
To add steps, press the + key.
2- Brake phase
The last phase of the program is always the braking phase. In this phase
it is only allowed to adjust the braking time (since the nal speed will
be 0 rpm).
Press the “SEL” icon to select the current program as the active one.

From the main menu, press on «WORKING».
Program selected in the former paragraph will be running.
Press on «RUN» to start the program.
The program starts and displays the following information:
- Program and rotor number.
- Current and target speed.
- Elapsed (minutes, seconds) and target time.
- Temperature in the bucket and target temperature.
Press on «RPM» so that the display shows «RCF».
RPM: Revolutions per minute.
RCF: Number of «g» (acceleration of gravity) to which the sample is
subjected to.
The program noties the end with a long beep.
Press “STOP” to end the program execution.
Press “OPEN” to open the lid.
Press “BACK” to return to the main screen.
