DESCRIPTION DE L’EQUIPEMENT
Les plaques chauffantes sont conçues pour travailler à
une amplitude de température très étendue, jusqu’à 400ºC
(Plaques circulaires et Uniplac) , 250ºC (Selectemp) ou
130ºC ( Placfin).
La régulation de la température se réalise au moyen d’un
thermostat hydraulique (Selectemp et Placfin) ou par
régulateurs à impulsions d’énergie (Uniplac) indépendants
sur chaque poste.
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION
The hotplates are designed to work with a big
temperature range, up to 130ºC (Placfin), 250ºC
(Selectemp) up to 400ºC (Circular hotplates and
Uniplac).
Temperature regulation is done by a hydraulic
thermostat (Selectemp and Placfin) or impulse
regulators (Uniplac) independent for each plate.

INSTALLATION
Placer la plaque chauffante sur une surface plane,
horizontale et nivelée, en veillant à laisser un espace
libre de 10 cm. à l’arrière et sur chaque côté de l’appareil.
INSTALLATION
Place the hotplate on a flat horizontal, level surface,
leaving a space at the back and sides of the apparatus
of about 10cm.

Pour une plus grande durée de vie des appareils pourvus
de plaques chauffantes, il est recommandé que celles-
ci soient recouvertes le plus largement possible par les
récipients à chauffer. De cette manière, l’absorption de
la chaleur est plus grande, ce qui permet d’éviter la
surchauffe de la plaque ainsi que des déformations.
C’est pour cette raison qu’il faut utiliser les adaptateurs
en alliage de duraluminium, décrits dans le chapitre
“PLAQUES CHAUFFANTES” du catalogue pour faire
chauffer des matras à fond arrondi ou du type Soxhlet
ou Kjeldahl.
For a longer life of the apparatus provided with hotplate,
it is recommended that its surface be covered as much
as possible by the beaker to be heated. This avoids
overheating and deformation of the plate by absorbing
more the heat.
Because of that, when using round-bottomed, Soxhlet
or Kjeldahl flasks it is necessary to use the adapters
in aluminium described in “HOTPLATES” section of
our catalog.

CAUTION!!! IMPORTANT FOR YOUR SAFETY
Avant de brancher l’appareil, vérifier que la tension
de réseau correspond à celle indiquée sur la
plaque des caractéristiques de l’appareil.
Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, s’assurer de sa bonne
connexion à la terre.
Pour la changement de la prise de branchement,
ne pas oublier les indications suivantes :
Câble bleu : Neutre.
Câble marron : Phase.
Câble jaune/vert : Terre.
Be sure that the voltage supply is the same as the
one indicated on the characteristics plate.
Do not use the apparatus if it is not earthed.
If you change the plug bear in mind the following:
Blue cable : Neutral
Brown cable : Phase
Yellow/green cable : Earth

puissances de chauffe et d’une position arrêt.
Dans le schéma ci-dessous, on détaille la puissance
en Watt, selon la position du sélecteur et le code de la
plaque.

MISE EN MARCHE PLAQUES
CIRCULAIRES EN BATTERIE UNIPLAC:
1. Tourner le bouton de commande du régulateur de
température (1) de la position “OFF” (déconnecté),
jusqu’à la position “FULL” (puissance maximale).
2. Selon la position de la commande, le témoin
lumineux de fonctionnement du chauffage (2) mettra
plus ou moins de temps à s’allumer et à s’éteindre,
ce qui permettra d’ajuster la température de travail
désirée.
3. Pour arrêter l’appareil, placer la commande du
régulateur en position “OFF”.
PANNEAU DE COMMANDES DE LA
PLAQUE CIRCULAIRE SELECTEMP:
La plaque circulaire “SELECTEMP” est munie d’un
thermostat régulateur de température, dont la partie
sensible se trouve au centre de la plaque, ce qui permet
ainsi de capter la température du récipient à chauffer.
Tourner le thermostat gradué de 1 à 12, vers la droite et
sélectionner un nombre. Ne pas oublier que plus le
nombre sélectionné sera important, plus la température
sera élevée. Si après un temps de précaution, la
température est inférieure ou supérieure au niveau
désiré, tourner le bouton du thermostat vers le plus ou
le moins selon le cas. Pour arrêter, placer le bouton
sur zéro.
IMPORTANT
Manier le thermostat palpeur placé au centre de la
plaque avec le plus grand soin. Ne pas gratter pour
enlever des salissures. Si un liquide déborde sur la
plaque, nettoyer avec un chiffon bien essoré.
CIRCULAR HOTPLATE UNIPLAC UNITS
STARTING UP:
1. Move the control knob of temperature (1) from the
“OFF” position (disconnected), to the “FULL” posi-
tion (maximum power).
2. It will be noted that according to the control posi-
tion, the ON-OFF cycle switch of the indicator lamp
for the working of the heater (2) will be longer or
shorter, which will permit adjusting to the desired
working temperature.
3. To stop, move the control button to “OFF” posi-
tion.
CIRCULAR HOTPLATE SELECTEMP:
Circular hotplate “SELECTEMP” is provided with a
temperature regulator thermostat whose sensitive part
is in the center of the plate in order to register the
temperature of the container to be heated.
Move the thermostat button numbered 1 to 12 to the
right and fix it at one point, bearing in mind that the
higher the point fixed, the higher the temperature. If
after a reasonable time the desired temperature has
not been reached, move the button of the thermostat
to more or less, as desired.
To disconnect turn the button to 0.
IMPORTANT
Treat the central thermostat of the plate very carefully,
do NOT try to scrape it with anything to clean it. Should
any liquid spill onto the plate simply clean it with a
damp cloth.

Suivre les mêmes instructions que pour la plaque
“SELECTEMP”. La lecture de la température s’effectue
au moyen d’un thermomètre intégré.
RECTANGULAR HOTPLATE PLACFIN:
Follow the same instructions as for “SELECTEMP”
plate and read the temperature with the thermometer
included in the apparatus.
ENTRETIEN
Débrancher l’appareil avant d’en retirer le boîtier
pour toute manipulation intérieure.
La manipulation des circuits électroniques
internes de la plaque par des personnes non
agréées peut provoquer des détériorations
difficilement réparables.
Apporter l’appareil à l’un des services techniques
agréés par J.P. SELECTA.
NETTOYAGE :
Pour le nettoyage des différentes pièces de l’appareil,
nous recommandons l’emploi des produits suivants :
Nettoyage de l’acier inoxydable : Alcool.
Nettoyage des masques et des plastiques : Alcool avec
coton ou un tissu non abrasif.
MAINTENANCE
Before removing the cover disconnect the apparatus
from the mains.
The manipulation of the internal electronic circuits
of the apparatus by unauthorized personnel can
cause irreparable damage. Take it to one of the
J.P.SELECTA authorized technical services.
CLEANING:
For the cleaning of the different parts use the following
products:
Cleaning of stainless steel: Alcohol
Cleaning of plastic: Alcohol with cotton duster.
WARNING!!! Caution with the hotplate surface, serious
burns can be produced, even after
switching off the apparatus.
¡ATTENTION! Prendre toutes les précautions nécessaires pour
éviter des brûlures, la plaque peut être à température élevée
même après l’arrêt de l’appareil.
