2) INTERNI
La cuffia ed i guanciali destro e sinistro sono estraibili e lavabili. Per rimuovere e installare gli
interni, fare riferimento alle istruzioni e figure che seguono. Per lavare gli interni, fare riferimento
al libretto “Safety Warning”.
2.1) Rimozione/Installazione guanciali

Guanciale destro
Guanciale sinistro
Per rimuovere i guanciali, impugnarli nella parte anteriore vici-
no alla mentoniera del casco e tirarli nella direzione della frec-
cia per liberarli dai bottoni automatici (1).
Inserire la bandella di plastica tra il guscio in EPS e la calotta es-
terna in modo da seguire la direzione della freccia e far scattare
i bottoni automatici di connessione (4). Verificare che i guanciali
siano perfettamente assicurati al casco.
N.B. Verificare che la bandella di plastica sia correttamente
centrata ed inserita tra il polistirolo interno in EPS e la calot-
ta esterna così che non si formino grinze nel tessuto dei
guanciali.
Estrarre la bandella di plastica posta tra la calotta esterna ed
il guscio in EPS in modo da seguire la direzione della freccia e
sfilare i guanciali facendo passare il cinturino di chiusura attra-
verso il foro ed estrarre i guanciali dal casco (2).
Per rimontare i guanciali, infilarli nel casco introducendo il cin-
turino nell’apposito foro di passaggio (3).

Per rimuovere la cuffia, sganciare i 2 bottoni automatici posti
nella zona anteriore (1) ed i 2 nella zona posteriore del casco
(2).
2.2) Rimozione/Installazione Cuffia
Rimuovere la cuffia dal casco.
N.B. Estrarre la cuffia solo DOPO avere sganciato tutti i
bottoni automatici di fissaggio per evitare di danneggiare
i bottoni stessi e di scucire le parti in tessuto.
Per rimontare la cuffia, inserirla all’interno del casco e fissarla
agganciando i 2 bottoni posteriori (3) ed i 2 bottoni anteriori
(4).

3) SISTEMA DI RITENZIONE
Ci sono tre tipi di sistemi di ritenzione:
- DD
- Fibbia a sgancio rapido
- Regolazione Micrometrica
Di seguito vengono riportate le indicazioni di utilizzo di tutte queste tipologie.
3.1) Sistema di ritenzione DD
Per allacciare il casco, passare
il nastro tra i due anelli (1), tirare
la parte terminale del nastro
(2) fino a sentire il cinturino
premere contro la mascella
ed agganciare il bottone auto-
matico antisventolio (3), come
indicato in figura.
Verificare che il casco rimanga
ben saldo in testa (vedere an-
che il paragrafo “Scelta del
casco appropriato” del libretto
“Safety Warning”).
Per slacciare il casco, sgan-
ciare il bottone automatico
tirando il terminale del nastro
ed allentare il nastro sfilan-
dolo dagli anelli, aiutandosi
con la linguetta rossa, come
indicato in figura.
Per rimuovere la cuffia, sganciare i 2 bottoni automatici posti
nella zona anteriore (1) ed i 2 nella zona posteriore del casco
(2).
Rimuovere la cuffia dal casco.
N.B. Estrarre la cuffia solo DOPO avere sganciato tutti i
bottoni automatici di fissaggio per evitare di danneggiare
i bottoni stessi e di scucire le parti in tessuto.
Per rimontare la cuffia, inserirla all’interno del casco e fissarla
agganciando i 2 bottoni posteriori (3) ed i 2 bottoni anteriori
(4).

3.2) Sistema di ritenzione con fibbia a sgancio rapido
Il sistema di ritenzione con fibbia a sgancio rapido necessita
di una regolazione del cinturino prima di essere allacciato.
Seguendo le indicazioni della figura che segue, regolare la
lunghezza del cinturino aumentando o riducendo la porzione
di nastro che passa attraverso l’anello metallico (1) fino ad
ottenere una calzata del casco adeguata quando il cinturino
è allacciato.
Per allacciare il casco, inserire la fibbia nel meccanismo di
ritenzione (2) fino a sentire lo scatto della chiusura (3).
Verificare che il casco rimanga ben saldo in testa (vedere an-
che il paragrafo “Scelta del casco appropriato” del libretto
“Safety Warning”).
Per slacciare il casco, agi-
re sul pulsante rosso (4) per
aprire il meccanismo di ri-
tenzione e poi sfilare la fibbia
(5) come indicato nella figura
che segue.

3.3) Sistema di ritenzione con
regolazione micrometrica
Il sistema di ritenzione con rego-
lazione micrometrica necessita
di una regolazione del cinturi-
no prima di essere allacciato.
Seguendo le indicazioni del-
la figura che segue, regola-
re la lunghezza del cinturino
aumentando o riducendo la
porzione di nastro che passa
attraverso l’anello (1) fino ad
ottenere una calzata del casco
adeguata quando il cinturino è
allacciato.
Per allacciare il casco, inserire
la linguetta dentata nella fibbia
(2) e spingerla a fondo (3) fino
a sentire il cinturino premere
contro la mascella. Il sistema
con regolazione micrometrica
consente poi un’ulteriore e più
precisa “taratura” del comfort
e della vestibilità grazie alla
possibilità di usare il numero
di scatti della linguetta denta-
ta che si preferisce (È consi-
gliabile comunque inserire la
linguetta nella fibbia il più a
fondo possibile).
Verificare che il casco riman-
ga ben saldo in testa (vedere
anche il paragrafo “Scelta del
casco appropriato” del libretto
“Safety Warning”).
Per slacciare il casco, sollevare
la levetta rossa aiutandosi con
la fettuccia di tessuto (4) e poi
sfilare la fibbia (5).

4.1) Tettuccio
Per l’AX-8 è disponibile un tettuccio per proteggersi dal sole e/o dai sassi facilmente regolabile
dall’esterno e smontabile.
4) ACCESSORI
4.1.1) Regolazione del tettuccio
N.B. Non forzare in nessun modo il frontino per fargli rag-
giungere l’angolo di inclinazione desiderato.
Sbloccare il tettuccio allentando manualmente la vite in pla-
stica posta al di sotto del tettuccio come mostrato in figura e
liberare così il cursore in plastica (1).
Per regolare il tettuccio, occorre abbassarlo/sollevarlo fino a
fargli raggiungere l’angolo di inclinazione desiderato (2).
Per fissare nuovamente il tettuccio occorre riavvitare la vite
in plastica.
N.B. Per l’utilizzo del casco su strada, regolare il tettuccio
nella posizione di massima altezza.
4.1.2) Rimozione/Installazione tettuccio
Per rimuovere completamente il tettuccio dalla calotta, par-
tendo da un lato del casco svitare la vite laterale in alluminio
che fissa il tettuccio (1).
Ripetere l’operazione dall’altro lato.
Successivamente, svitare sempre manualmente la vite centra-
le in plastica posta sotto il tettuccio (2) e rimuoverlo.

N.B. Non forzare in nessun modo il frontino per fargli rag-
giungere l’angolo di inclinazione desiderato.
Sbloccare il tettuccio allentando manualmente la vite in pla-
stica posta al di sotto del tettuccio come mostrato in figura e
liberare così il cursore in plastica (1).
Per regolare il tettuccio, occorre abbassarlo/sollevarlo fino a
fargli raggiungere l’angolo di inclinazione desiderato (2).
Per fissare nuovamente il tettuccio occorre riavvitare la vite
in plastica.
N.B. Per l’utilizzo del casco su strada, regolare il tettuccio
nella posizione di massima altezza.
Per rimuovere completamente il tettuccio dalla calotta, par-
tendo da un lato del casco svitare la vite laterale in alluminio
che fissa il tettuccio (1).
Ripetere l’operazione dall’altro lato.
Successivamente, svitare sempre manualmente la vite centra-
le in plastica posta sotto il tettuccio (2) e rimuoverlo.

N.B. Prima di procedere con
la verifica del buon funzio-
namento del tettuccio, assi-
curarsi che la vite in plastica
posta sotto il tettuccio sia
allentata così che il cursore
sia libero.
Abbassare, quindi il tettuccio
e verificarne il buon funziona-
mento.
Per installare nuovamente il tettuccio, procedere per prima cosa
al fissaggio della vite centrale in plastica.
Posizionare il tettuccio in modo da far coincidere l’apertura
sul cursore con il foro sulla calotta (1). Introdurre la vite nel
cursore in corrispondenza del foro sulla calotta (2) e stringerla
manualmente. Procedere poi con il fissaggio delle vite laterali.
Partire da uno dei due lati del casco e posizionare la rondella in
alluminio in corrispondenza dei rispettivi foro sulla calotta e sul
tettuccio. Inserire quindi la vite in alluminio e stringerla (3).
4.2) Rimozione/Installazione presa aria muso
Per rimuovere la presa aria muso, premere dall’interno del ca-
sco sulla parte superiore della presa come da figura 1.
Per reinstallare la presa aria muso, posizionare nel foro cor-
rispondente alla presa il filtro e la retina metallica (2) facendo
attenzione che i bordi di entrambi coincidano con quelli del
foro nella calotta.
A questo punto, inserire la presa aria muso prima nella sua
sede inferiore e poi in quella superiore (3) fino a che si sentirà
lo scatto che indica il corretto posizionamento ed inserimento
della presa aria.

2) INNERS
The cap and right and left cheek pads are removable and washable. To remove and install the
inners, follow the instructions and observe the figures below. To wash the inners, please see the
“Safety Warning” booklet.
2.1) Cheek pad Removal/Installation

To remove the cheek pads, grip them at the front near the hel-
met chin strap and pull in the direction of the arrow to free
them from the press studs (1).
Insert the plastic band between the EPS shell and the outer shell,
moving in the direction indicated by the arrow and pressing the
press studs in place (4). Check that the cheek pads are perfectly
secured to the helmet.
N.B. Ensure that the plastic band is correctly centered and
inserted between the EPS polystyrene inner and the outer
sheel so that the fabric of the cheek pads does not crease.
Remove the plastic band positioned between the outer shell
and the EPS shell, moving in the direction indicated by the
arrow, and remove the cheek pads, passing the closing strap
through the holes and extracting them from the helmet (2).
To refit the cheek pads, slide them into the helmet, slotting the
strap into the appropriate hole (3).

studs to avoid damaging them and prevent damage to the
fabric parts.
To refit the cap, insert it inside the helmet and clip the 2 press-
studs at the back (3) and the 2 buttons at the front (4) into
place.

3) RETENTION SYSTEM
There are three types of retention system:
- DD
- Quick release buckle
- Micrometric adjustment buckle
The instructions for the use of all three types are given below.
3.1) DD retention system
To fasten the helmet, slot the
tape through the two rings
(1), pull the end of the tape
(2) until the strap presses
against the jaw and click the
anti-flapping press-stud (3)
into place as shown in the
figure.
Check that the helmet fits
snugly (see the paragraph
entitled “Choosing the right
helmet” in the “Safety Warn-
ing” booklet).
To remove the helmet, release
the press-stud by pulling the
end of the tape and loosen
the tape, pulling it through
the rings, using the red tab as
shown in the figure.

3.2) Quick release buckle retention system
With the quick release buckle retention system, the strap
must be adjusted before being fastened.
Following the indications of the figure below, adjust the
length of the strap, lengthening or shortening the portion of
tape that passes through the metal ring (1) until the helmet fits
snugly when the strap is fastened.
To fasten the helmet, slot the buckle into the retention mech-
anism (2) until it clicks closed (3).
Check that the helmet fits snugly (see the paragraph entitled
“Choosing the right helmet” in the “Safety Warning” book-
let).
To remove the helmet, use the
red button (4) to open the re-
tention mechanism and then
open the buckle (5) as shown
in the figure below.

3.3) Micrometric adjustment
retention system
With the micrometric
adjustment retention system,
the strap must be adjusted
before being fastened.
Following the indications of
the figure below, adjust the
length of the strap, lengthening
or shortening the portion of
tape that passes through the
metal ring (1) until the helmet
fits snugly when the strap is
fastened.
To fasten the helmet, slot the
serrated tab into the metal
buckle (2) and push it as far
as possible (3) until the strap
presses against the jaw. The
micrometric adjustment system
enable further, more precise
“calibration” of comfort and
fit thanks to the possibility to
use the preferred number of
positions on the serrated tab (It
is best to insert the tab as far as
possible into the buckle).
Check that the helmet fits snu-
gly (see the paragraph entitled
“Choosing the right helmet”
in the “Safety Warning” bo-
oklet).
To remove the helmet, lift the
red lever using the ribbon (4)
and then open the buckle (5)
as shown in figure below.
N.B. BUTTONS/VELCRO
POSITIONED ON THE RE-
TENTION SYSTEM ARE NOT
FASTENINGS BUT ARE ONLY
TO PREVENT FLAPPING:
THEY MUST NOT BE USED

4.1) Peak
A peak is available for the AX-8 to protect it from the sun and/or stones. It can easily be adjusted
from the outside and is removable.
4) ACCESSORIES
4.1.1) Adjusting the peak
N.B. Never force the front to reach the required angle of
inclination.
Release the peak by manually loosening the plastic screw un-
der the peak, as shown in the figure, and releasing the plastic
cursor (1).
To adjust the peak, lower or raise it to achieve the required
inclination angle (2).
To lock the peak in place, tighten the plastic screw.
N.B. When using the helmet on road, adjust the peak to
the highest position.
4.1.2) Peak Removal/Installation
To completely remove the peak from the shell, starting from
one side of the helmet, loosen the aluminium screw at the side
which holds the peak in place (1).
Repeat the operation on the other side.
Then manually loosen the central plastic screw under the peak
(2) and remove it.

N.B. Never force the front to reach the required angle of
inclination.
Release the peak by manually loosening the plastic screw un-
der the peak, as shown in the figure, and releasing the plastic
cursor (1).
To adjust the peak, lower or raise it to achieve the required
inclination angle (2).
To lock the peak in place, tighten the plastic screw.
N.B. When using the helmet on road, adjust the peak to
the highest position.
To completely remove the peak from the shell, starting from
one side of the helmet, loosen the aluminium screw at the side
which holds the peak in place (1).
Repeat the operation on the other side.
Then manually loosen the central plastic screw under the peak
(2) and remove it.

N.B. Before checking that
the peak works properly, en-
sure that the plastic screw
under the peak is loosed so
that the cursor is free.
Lower the peak and check
that it works properly.
To re-install the peak, first retighten the central plastic screw.
Position the peak so that the opening on the cursor is in line
with the hole on the shell (1). Introduce the screw in the cursor
into the hole on the shell (2) and tighten it manually.
Then tighten the side screws. Start on one of the two sides of
the helmet and position the aluminium washer in line with the
respective holes on the shell and the peak. Then insert the
aluminium screw and tighten it (3).
4.2) Muzzle air inlet Removal/Installation
To remove the muzzle air inlet, press from the inside of the
helmet on the upper part of the inlet as shown in figure 1.
To refit the muzzle air inlet, position the filter and metal grid (2)
in the hole in line with the inlet, ensuring that both edges are in
line with those of the hole in the shell.
Now insert the muzzle air inlet into its lower housing and then
in to its upper housing (3) until it clicks into place, indicating
the correct position and insertion of the air inlet.

2) PARTIES INTERNES
La coiffe et les coussins de joue droit et gauche sont extractibles et lavables. Pour démonter et
remonter la partie interne, consulter les instructions et les figures suivantes. Pour laver la partie
interne, consulter la notice “Safety Warning”.
2.1) Démontage/Remontage coussins de joue

Pour enlever les coussins de joue, saisir la partie avant à côté
de la mentonnière du casque et tirer dans la direction de la
flèche pour les libérer des boutons-pressions (1).
Introduire la bande en plastique entre la coque EPS et la calotte
externe de façon à suivre la direction de la flèche et déclencher
les boutons-pressions de connexion (4). Vérifier que les cous-
sins de joue sont parfaitement fixés au casque.
N.B. Vérifier que la bande en plastique est correctement
centrée et insérée entre le polystyrène interne en EPS et la
calotte externe de façon à éviter la formation de plis dans le
tissu des coussins de joue.
Extraire la bande en plastique située entre la calotte externe
et la coque en EPS de façon à suivre la direction de la flèche
et dégager les coussins de joue en faisant passer la bride de
fermeture à travers le tour et extraire les coussins de joue du
casque (2).
Pour remonter les coussins de joue, les enfiler dans le casque
en introduisant la bride dans le trou de passage spécialement
prévu (3).

Pour enlever la coiffe, décrocher les 2 boutons-pressions
placés dans la zone avant (1) et les 2 dans la zone arrière du
casque (2).
2.2) Démontage/Remontage Coiffe
Enlever la coiffe du casque.
N.B. Extraire la coiffe uniquement APRÈS avoir décro-
ché tous les boutons-pressions de fixation pour éviter
d’endommager les boutons et de découdre les parties en
tissu.
Pour remonter la coiffe, l’insérer à l’intérieur du casque et la
fixer en accrochant les 2 boutons arrière (3) et les 2 boutons
avant (4).
Il y a trois sortes de systèmes d’attache:
- 2D
- Boucle à retrait rapide
- Réglage Micrométrique
