1. General description
B series technical scales are destined for general use.
All scales are metrologically tested - calibration or legal verification on demand.
Standard B/E scales are equi ed with the dis lay mounted on the ost for easy
readout of weighing result. O tional, the scale may be delivered with the dis lay
ada ted for wall mounting, connected with the latform with a cable.
Balances with legal verification are mark with the following:
- rotective seals laced on the casing mounting screw at the back of the balance
and on the screw under the an,
- notified body stam s and green metrological marking laced on the balance
name late.
Legal verification is valid for 3 years unless the seal is broken.

5. Security rules
To avoid electrical shock or damage of the scale or
connected eri heral devices, it is necessary to follow
the security rules below.
• All re airs and necessary regulations can be made by authorised ersonnel
only.
• To avoid fire risk use a feeder of an a ro riate ty e (su lied with the
scale). Pay attention that su ly voltage is com atible with s ecified
technical data.
• Do not use the scale when its cover is o ened.
• Do not use the scale in ex losive conditions.
• Do not use the scale in high humidity.
• If the scale seems not to o erate ro erly, un lug it from the mains and do
not use until checked by authorised service.
6. En ironment protection
According to legal regulations it if forbidden to dis ose
wasted electronic equi ment in waste containers.
• Please return wasted scale to the oint of urchase or other com any
s ecialised in recycling of wasted electronic com onents.

7. Preparation
1. Take the scale out of the ackage
removing rotective foils.
2. Take a an off and remove rotective
elements from below the an.
3. Place the scale on a stable ground not
affected by mechanical vibrations and
airflows.
4. Level the scale with the rotating rear legs
so that the air bubble in the water-level at
the back of the scale is in the middle.
8. Start-up
Leave the an em ty, lug the feeder to the mains (~230V/50Hz) and lug the
feeder connector to the 12V ower socket at the back of the scale.
The scale roceeds with following start-u actions:
Dis lay test.
Basic electronic com onents tests: C1,
C-2, ... C-6.
Program version.
The scale is now ready to work.

9. General rules
1. Before each measurement make sure that zero indicator is dis layed. If zero
indicator does not dis layed or “----“ communicate a ears, ress →0← key
and wait until zero indication and zero indicator a ears.
2. The scale is equi ed with a tare equal to its range. To tare the scale ress
→T← key (left or right). Storing a tare value does not extend measuring range,
but only subtracts it from a load laced on a an. To make weight control easier
and to avoid range overdrawing, the scale is equi ed with a load indicator
(graduated in ercentages).
3. Weighing result should be read when the indicator " " lights, which signalises
stabilisation of a result.
4. When the scale is not used but it is necessary to be ready to work immediately, it
can be switched off by ressing I/ key. The scale reading system is then
switched off to "standby" mode (signalled by the indicator "OFF" in version
with the LCD dis lay). To switch the scale on ress I/ key. The scale is
immediately ready to o erate maximum accuracy (after self tests).
5. Weighed sam le should be laced in the centre of the an.
6. Protect the scale against dust, aggressive dusts and liquids. To clean the scale
wash it with water with soa and dry it afterwards.
10. Balance checking
It is advised to check scale indication accuracy before and after series of
measurement using any load with known weight.
To check the scale with legal verification use a calibration weight with valid
calibration certificate. In case ermissible error is exceeded it is advised to contact
the nearest service to calibrate the scale.
Place the scale on a platform to avoid dropping weighed objects
on the pan.
Do
not overload the scale more then 20% of maximum load (Max .

USER MANUAL
9
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
11. Scale adjustment
To adjust a balance it is necessary to break rotective marks, therefore
to calibrate the scale lease contact the nearest service.
12. Connecting a computer or a printer
The scale is equi ed with RS232C or
RS485 (o tional), which can be used to
connect external devices such as a com uter
or a rinter.
When coo erating with a rinter data is send
automatically after result stabilisation, but
next transmission is ossible after removing
reviously weighted sam le.
The scale sends following information:
successive number of weighing and
weighing result (see: rinter coo eration
mode setting).
The scale may be equi ed with the second
interface (o tional) used for exam le for
continuous weighing result transmission to
an additional, external dis lay.
When coo erating with the scale, a com uter should be equi ed with a rogram
which enables rocessing data from the scale – available in AXIS with extra
charge.

13. Special functions description
All scales, beside basic functions like weighing and tare, are equi ed with the set
of additional functions.
Basic set of user s ecial functions consists of:
- autozero (AUt),
- ieces counting (PCS),
- constant tare (tAr),
- serial ort working mode setting (LPt),
- serial ort arameters setting (rS),
- menu customisation (ACt).
Other s ecial functions can be enabled as an o tion on customer request (all
functions are described in additional brochure when ordered).
Press MENU key to enter the function menu. Functions are dis layed successively
with consecutive numbers: F1-PCS, F2-AUt, etc.
To customise the function menu with most frequently used functions
use Menu Customisation function (ACt).

18. Pieces counting (F..-PCS)
This function enables to count
identical ieces, e.g. turnbuckles or

A measurement is erformed in two
hases:
- first hase - single iece weight
calculation on the basis of defined
ieces amount (5, 10, 20, 50, 100,
200 or 500 ieces),
- second hase – ieces counting.
It is advised that single iece weight
is not less than one reading unit and
sam le weight used in first hase is
bigger than 100 reading units.
To leave function ress MENU key

Notes:
1. Err-3 communicate signalises that
a sample was not put on the pan.

if single piece weight is less than
one reading unit (it is possible to
count pieces but measuring error
is bigger).
