1 BenutzerhinweiseDeutsch
Die AS-Interface-Ventilinsel Typ 10 ist ausschließlich zur
Steuerung von pneumatischen Aktuatoren bestimmt und
nur für den Einsatz in Bussystemen gemäß der AS-Inter-
face-Spezifikation geeignet. Hierbei sind die angegebenen
Grenzwerte für Drücke, Temperaturen, elektrische Daten,
Drehmomente usw. einzuhalten.
AS-Interface-Bussysteme und Ventilinseln dürfen nur von
hierfür geschultem Fachpersonal installiert werden. Aus-
führliche Angaben zur Konzeption und Adressierung Ihres
AS-Interface-Bussystems finden Sie in der Beschreibung
Ihres Masters.
Ausführliche Informationen zur Pneumatik der Ventilinsel
finden Sie in der Pneumatik-Beschreibung P.BE-CPV-....
Warnung
SSchalten Sie die Spannung aus, bevor Sie Steckver-
binder zusammen stecken oder trennen (Funktions-
schädigung).
SSchließen Sie einen Erdleiter mit ausreichendem Lei-
tungsquerschnitt an den mit dem Erdungssymbol
gekennzeichneten Anschluss an.
SNehmen Sie nur eine komplett montierte und ver-
drahtete Ventilinsel in Betrieb.
Stellen Sie bei Verwendung als explosionsgeschütztes
Betriebsmittel sicher, dass:
Selektrische Anschlüsse nicht unter Spannung ge-
trennt werden.
Sdie komplett installierte Ventilinsel mit allen verwen-
deten Steckern, Adaptern und Schutzkappen minde-
stens die Schutzart IP64 aufweist

3 Adressierung AS-Interface-Ventilinsel Typ 10
3.1 Zuweisen der AS-Interface-Slaveadresse
Empfehlung: Verwenden Sie das Festo-Adressiergerät ASI-
PRG-ADR Bestell-Nr. 18959 mit Adapterkabel Bestell-Nr.
18960 (oder Siemens PSG).
Vor dem Anschließen eines AS-i-Slaves an den Bus: Wei-
sen Sie jedem AS-Interface-Slave eine noch nicht belegte
AS-Interface-Adresse zu. Stellen Sie Ihre gewünschte
Adresse mit dem AS-Interface-Adressiergerät ein. Zulässi-
ger Adressbereich: 1 ... 31.
Anmerkungen:
– Werkseinstellung der Insel: Adresse 00
– ID-Code und IO-Code: siehe Typenschild der Insel
– Eine Parametrierung des AS-Interface-Slaves ist nicht
erforderlich

4Installation
Verwenden Sie für den Anschluss der Typ 10-Ventilinseln
die Festo-Kabeldosen ASI-SD-FK. Sie erreichen damit
Schutzart IP65.
Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1. Kabeldose anschließen gemäß separater Kurzbeschrei-
bung.
2. AS-Interface-Kabel zugfrei ausrichten.
3. Kabeldose aufstecken und festschrauben.

Beachten Sie bei Stichleitungen:
– maximale Gesamtlänge des AS-Interface-Bus: 100 m.
– Leitungslänge des Betriebsspannungsanschlusses
(abhängig von der Stromaufnahme der Insel und den
Schwankungen der Betriebsspannung).
– Abschluss eines offenen Kabelendes mit der Festo-
Kabelkappe ASI-KK-FK oder der Kabeltülle ASI-KT-FK.
Sie vermeiden damit Kriechströme und erreichen
Schutzart IP65.

4.1 Anschließen des AS-Interface-Bus/Lastspannung
Hinweis
Eine Spannungsversorgung der Ventile über den AS-In-
terface-Bus ist nur bei Typ CPV..-GE-ASI-2/4 möglich.
Versorgen Sie die Ventilinsel Typ CPV..-GE-ASI-...-Z
immer getrennt mit 24 V-Lastspannung.
Warnung
SVerwenden Sie nur Netzteile, die eine sichere elektri-
sche Trennung der Betriebsspannung nach IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 mit mindestens 4 kV Isolations-
festigkeit gewährleisten (PELV). Schaltnetzteile sind
zulässig, wenn sie die sichere Trennung im Sinne der
EN 60950/VDE 0805 gewährleisten.

The AS-Interface valve terminal type 10 is designed exclus-
ively for controlling pneumatic actuators and may only be
used in bus systems as agreed in the AS-Interface specifi-
cations. The specified limit values for pressures, tempera-
tures, electrical data, torques etc. must be observed.
AS-Interface bus systems and valve terminals may only be
installed by specially qualified personnel. Detailed specifi-
cations on the concept and addressing of the AS-Interface
bus system can be found in the manual for the master.
Detailed information on the pneumatic components of the
valve terminal can be found in the pneumatics manual
P.B E-CPV-....
Warning
SSwitch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (otherwise this could lead to
functional damage).
SConnect an earth conductor of sufficient cross-sec-
tional area to the terminal marked with the earth
symbol.
SCommission only a valve terminal which has been
fitted and wired completely.
If to be used as an explosion-protected operating de-
vice, make sure that:
Selectrical contacts are not disconnected under ten-
sion
Sthe completely fitted valve terminal with all plugs,
adapters and protective caps complies at least with
protection class IP 64.

3 Addressing the AS-Interface valve terminal
type 10
3.1 Assign the AS-Interface slave address
We recommend the use of the Festo addresser ASI-PRG-
ADR part no. 18959 with adapter cable part no. 18960 (or
Siemens PSG)
Before connecting an AS-Interface slave to the bus, assign
a non-reserved address to each slave. Set the desired ad-
dress with the AS-Interface addresser. Permitted range
1 ... 31.
Please note:
– The factory setting of the terminal is address 00
– IDcodeandIOcodeseetypeplateontheterminal
– It is not necessary to parametrize the AS-Interface slaves

4Installation
Use the Festo cable sockets ASI-SD-FK for connecting the
type 10 valve terminals. You thereby comply with protec-
tion class IP65.
Proceed as follows.
1. Connect the cable socket in accordance with the separ-
ate brief description.
2. Make sure that the AS-interface cable is not stretched.
3. Placethecablesocketintopositionandscrewittight.

Please note the following with branch lines.
– The max. total length of the AS-Interface bus: 100 m.
– The length of the operating voltage cable depends on
the current consumption of the terminal and on fluctu-
ations in the operating voltage.
– An open-ended cable should be fitted with a Festo
cablecapASI-KK-FKorwithacablebushingASI-KT-FK.
You therefore avoid leakage currents and comply with
protection class IP65.

4.1 Connecting the AS-Interface bus/load voltage
Please note
Voltage supply of the valves via the AS-Interface bus is
only possible with type CPV..-GE-ASI-2/4. Always sup-
ply valve terminal type CPV..-GE-ASI-...-Z with a separ-
ate 24 V load voltage.
Warning
SUse only power units which guarantee reliable isola-
tion of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation resis-
tance (Protected Extra Low Voltage PELV). Switch
power packs are permitted, providing they guarantee
reliable isolation in accordance with EN 60950/
VDE 0805.

1 Instrucciones para el usuarioEspañol
El terminal de válvulas AS-Interface tipo 10 está diseñado
exclusivamente para el control de actuadores neumáticos
y solamente debe ser utilizado en sistemas de bus que
cumplan con las especificaciones AS-Interface. Deben
observarse los valores límite especificados para presiones,
temperaturas, datos eléctricos, pares, etc..
Los sistemas de bus AS-Interface y los terminales de vál-
vulas solamente pueden ser instalados por personal cuali-
ficado. En el manual del master puede hallarse especifica-
ciones detalladas sobre el concepto y direccionamiento
del sistema de bus AS-Interface.
En el manual de la parte neumática P.BE-CPV-... pueden
hallarse especificaciones detalladas sobre los componen-
tes neumáticos del terminal de válvulas.
Atención
SDesconectar la fuente de alimentación antes de in-
sertar o retirar conectores (de lo contrario, pueden
producirse daños).
SConectar un conductor de tierra de suficiente sección
transversal al terminal marcado con el símbolo de
tierra.
SPoner a punto el terminal de válvulas solamente
cuando se halle completamente montado y cableado.
Si debe utilizarse en un entorno antideflagrante, asegu-
rarse de que:
Slos contactos eléctricos no se desconectan bajo tensión
Sel terminal completamente montado, con todas las
clavijas, adaptadores y caperuzas protectoras cum-
ple por lo menos con el grado de protección IP 64.
