1. Proper use of the product
The ultrasound device with high voltage is designed to protect cars and caravans from marten damage.
This device is not designed to be used by children or persons with limited mental abilities or without experience and/or lack of required
specialist knowledge. Keep children away from the device.
Utilisation according to the intended purpose also includes the observance of all information in these operating instructions, particularly the
observance of the safety instructions. Any other utilisation is considered to be contrary to the intended purpose and may lead to material
damages or personal injuries. EAL GmbH assumes no liability for damage resulting from improper use.

4. Safety precautions
• Keep children away and do not allow children to operate this device!
• Only use this product as intended!
• Do not manipulate or disassemble the device!
• For your own safety, only use accessories and spare parts that are stated in these instructions or that are recommended by the
manufacturer!
• When working on the battery or the electrical system of your vehicle, never wear metal bracelets.There is a risk of injury.
• For instructions on disconnecting the battery, read the manual of your vehicle or ask your specialist workshop.
• Regularly check the rm seating of the marten repellent device and the connecting cable.
• Disconnect the device or remove the fuse in the plus cable, if you need to jump start the vehicle, quickly recharge the battery or
when carrying out any other work on the vehicle.
• Never clean the device with a steam or pressure washer.

6.2 Preparation
Before installation, it is necessary to remove the scent mark left by the marten!We recommend the use of our LAS pre-treatment spray to
remove the marten scent mark or, at least, an engine wash.
6.3 Installation
Ultrasound functions in a similar way to the light cone of a torch and does not cut through material.The sound should be able to distribute its-
elf without impedance. For this reason, mount the device in the upper section of the engine compartment so that the sound can be distributed
without impedance.
Attach the high-voltage cable (Position 7 in the overview) to the contact plates (Position 8 in the overview) in such a way that the conductive
exposed surfaces of the plates do not touch any other parts.
Caution: Do not mount the marten repellent device in the vicinity of hot or rotating elements of the engine.
6.4 Connection
Caution: Disconnect the battery before carrying out any work on the electrical system of your vehicle.To do this, read the manual of
your vehicle or ask your specialist workshop.
Connect the red plus connection cable (Position 4 in the overview) of the marten repellent device to the steady plus, behind the
fuse of your vehicle. Connect the black minus connection cable (Position 5 in the overview) to the ignition switching plus, terminal 15, for the
majority of vehicles.The device then switches itself o when the ignition is switched on. Make sure that no other functions are inuenced.
Check the correct connection of the marten repellent device. Connect the vehicle battery again. To do this, read the manual of your vehicle or
ask your specialist workshop.
6.5 Operation
Switch o the ignition of your vehicle. Press the ON/OFF switch (Position 3 in the overview) to switch the marten repellent device o.The con-
trol lamp (Position 1 in the overview) now ashes at an interval of approximately 3 seconds. In this interval, the ultrasound speaker (Position 2
in the overview) emits an ultrasound sinus tone. Once switched on high-voltage is applied permanently to the contact plates.
You can leave the marten repellent device in this state, even during travel (since the device is switched o when the ignition is switched on).
6.6 Replacing the fuse
To replace the fuse, unscrew the fuse holder (Position 6 in the overview) by rotating both halves of the housing in an anti-clockwise direction.
Remove the defective fuse. Replace a new fuse of the same strength (see section 3. Specications) in the fuse holder. Screw both housing
halves together by rotating clockwise.

6.7 Measures in the event of maintenance and repair of the vehicle
Caution: Inform the workshop of the presence of the marten repellent device.
Switch the marten repellent device o (press the ON/OFF switch) before starting maintenance or repair work. For safety, also remove
the fuse from the fuse holder (see section 6.6 Replacing the fuse).
7. Maintenance and care

7.1 Maintenance
The marten repellent device is maintenance-free when used in accordance with the intended purpose.
Regularly check the device, the high-voltage cable and the contact plates to ensure rm and correct seating.
7.2 Care
Keep the exposed surfaces of the contact plates clean.To do this, use a soft cloth, slightly dampened at most. Do not use any aggressive
cleaning agents or solvent-based cleaners.
The frequency of cleaning required will depend on the weather, time of year and the road surfaces.
8. Notes regarding environmental protection
Do not dispose of electrical devices with the household waste! Electrical and electronic scrap must be collected separately and
disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner for recycling. Please contact your community or city administration regarding
disposal options for electrical and electronic scrap.

1. Utilisation conforme
L‘appareil à ultrason à haute tension sert à la protection contre les dégâts provoqués par les martres sur les véhicules à moteur et les cam-
ping-cars.
Cet article n‘est pas destiné à être utilisé par des enfants ou des personnes aux capacités mentales limitées ou ne disposant pas de l‘expérience
ou des connaissances nécessaires. Les enfants doivent rester à distance de cet article.
L‘utilisation conforme aux prescriptions implique également le respect de toutes les informations contenues dans ce mode d‘emploi, en
particulier le respect des consignes de sécurité.Toute autre utilisation est considérée comme non conforme et peut entraîner des dommages

6.2 Préparation
Avant le montage, il est nécessaire de retirer les marques olfactives de marte ! Nous recommandons notre spray de pré-traitement LAS anti
marques olfactives de marte ou au moins de nettoyer le compartiment moteur.
6.3 Montage
L‘ultrason fonctionne comme le faisceau lumineux d‘une lampe de poche et ne traverse aucune matière. Le son doit pouvoir se propager le plus
facilement possible. Monter donc l‘appareil dans la moitié supérieure du compartiment moteur de façon à ce que le son puisse se propager le
plus facilement possible.
Fixer le câble haute tension (position 7 dans l‘aperçu) avec les plaques de contact de façon à ce que les surfaces conductrices et dénudées des
plaques ne touchent aucune autre pièce.
Attention: Ne montez par la protection anti-marte à proximité de parties chaudes ou rotatives du moteur.
6.4 Raccordement
Attention: Avant d‘eectuer des travaux sur l‘installation électrique de votre véhicule, déconnectez la batterie.Veuillez lire à cet
eet le manuel de votre véhicule ou adressez-vous à votre garagiste.
Branchez le câble de raccordement plus (position 4 dans l‘aperçu) de la protection anti-marte au plus continu de votre véhicule, derrière le
fusible. Branchez le câble de raccordement moins noir (position 5 dans l‘aperçu) à la borne positive synchronisée à l‘allumage, pince 15 sur la
plupart des véhicule. L‘appareil est donc mis hors service lorsque l‘allumage est mis en marche. Assurez-vous qu‘aucune autre fonction ne soit
détériorée.
Vérier que l‘appareil de protection anti-marte soit correctement raccordé. Rebrancher la batterie du véhicule.Veuillez lire à cet eet le
manuel de votre véhicule ou adressez-vous à votre garagiste.
6.5 Fonctionnement
Éteignez l‘allumage de votre véhicule. Appuyez sur l‘interrupteur MARCHE / ARRÊT (position 3 dans l‘aperçu) pour démarrer la protection
anti-marte. La lampe de contrôle (position 1 dans l‘aperçu) clignote désormais avec un intervalle d‘env. 3 secondes. Dans cet intervalle, le
haut-parleur à ultrason (position 2 dans l‘aperçu) produit un son sinusoïdal à ultrason. Après le démarrage, une haute tension persiste un
certain temps sur les plaques de contact.
Vous pouvez laisser la protection anti-marte dans cet état, aussi pendant le trajet (car l‘appareil s‘éteint lorsque l‘allumage est enclenché).
6.6 Remplacement du fusible
Pour remplacer le fusible, vissez le porte-fusible (position 6 dans l‘aperçu) en tournant les deux moitiés du boitier dans le sens contraire des
aiguilles d‘une montre. Retirez le fusible défectueux. Placez un nouveau fusible de la même puissance (cf. paragraphe 3. Spécications) dans le
porte-fusible. Revisser les deux moitiés de boîtier en tournant dans le sens horloger.

6.7 Mesures à prendre lors de la maintenance et la réparation du véhicule
Attention: Informez l‘atelier de l‘installation de l‘appareil de protection anti-marte.
Éteignez l‘appareil de protection anti-marte (appuyer sur l‘interrupteur MARCHE / ARRÊT) avant de commencer les travaux de main-
tenance ou de réparation. Par sécurité, retirez le fusible du porte-fusible (cf. paragraphe 6.6 Remplacement du fusible).
7. Entretien et nettoyage
Attention: Éteignez la protection anti-marte (appuyer sur l‘interrupteur MARCHE / ARRÊT) et retirez le fusible du porte-fusible (cf.
paragraphe 6.6 Remplacement du fusible) avant de commencer les travaux.
7.1 Maintenance
La protection anti-marte n‘exige pas d‘entretien lorsqu‘elle est utilisée de manière conforme.
Vérier régulièrement que l‘appareil, le câble à haute tension et les plaques de contact soient bien xés.
7.2 Nettoyage
Maintenez les surfaces dénudées des plaques de contact propres. Pour cela, utilisez un chion doux et extra humide. N‘utilisez pas de net-
toyants agressifs ou contenant des solvants.
La fréquence de nettoyage dépend des intempéries, de la saison et de la surface de la chaussée.
8. Remarques relatives à la protection de l‘environnement
Ne jetez pas les appareils électriques aux ordures ! Les appareils électriques et électroniques usagés doivent être collectés séparément
et être envoyés pour un recyclage écologique. Renseignez-vous quant aux possibilités d‘élimination d‘appareils électriques et électro-
niques usagés auprès de votre administration communale, municipale ou cantonale.

1. Reglementair gebruik
Het ultrasoon apparaat met hoogspanning wordt gebruikt om auto‘s en campers te beschermen tegen marterschade.
Dit apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt door kinderen, personen met beperkte geestelijke vermogens of personen zonder ervaring en/of
gebrek aan kennis. Kinderen moeten uit de buurt van het apparaat worden gehouden.
Tot het reglementair gebruik behoort ook de inachtneming van alle informatie in deze handleiding, vooral de inachtneming van de veilig-
heidsvoorschriften. Elk ander gebruik geldt als niet-reglementair en kan materiële schade of persoonlijk letsel veroorzaken. EAL GmbH is niet
aansprakelijk voor schade als gevolg van niet-reglementair gebruik.

4. Veiligheidsinstructies
• Houd dit product buiten het bereik van kinderen en laat ze het product niet bedienen!
• Gebruik dit product uitsluitend voor het beoogde doel!
• Manipuleer of demonteer het product niet!
• Gebruik voor uw eigen veiligheid uitsluitend toebehoren of reserveonderdelen die in de gebruiksaanwijzing staan vermeld of
waarvan het gebruik door de fabrikant wordt aanbevolen!
• Draag nooit metalen armbanden bij werkzaamheden aan de accu of de elektrische installatie van uw voertuig. Anders bestaat er
gevaar voor letsel.
• Lees de informatie over het loskoppelen van accu‘s in het handboek van uw voertuig of informeer hierover bij uw garage.
• Controleer regelmatig of de marterverjager en de aansluitkabel goed vastzitten.
• Koppel het apparaat af of verwijder de zekering in de pluskabel als een jumpstart van het voertuig wordt uitgevoerd, als de accu
snel wordt opgeladen of bij andere werkzaamheden aan het voertuig.
• Reinig het product nooit met een stoom- of hogedrukreiniger.

6. Gebruiksaanwijzing
6.1 Overzicht

6.2 Voorbereiding
Voordat u het apparaat gaat monteren, is het wenselijk om alle martergeuren te verwijderen.Wij adviseren onze LAS martergeurverwijderaar
voorbehandelingsspray, of op zijn minst een reinigingsbeurt van de motorruimte.
6.3 Montage
Ultrasoon geluid is vergelijkbaar met de lichtbundel van een zaklamp en dringt niet door materie heen. Het geluid moet zich zo mogelijk
ongehinderd kunnen verspreiden. Monteer daarom het apparaat in de bovenste helft van de motorruimte, zodat het geluid zich ongehinderd
kan verspreiden.
De hoogspanningskabel (punt 7 in het overzicht) met de contactplaten (punt 8 in het overzicht) bevestigt u zodanig, dat de geleidende blanke
oppervlakken van de platen geen andere onderdelen raken.
Let op: Monteer de marterverjager niet in de nabijheid van hete of roterende onderdelen van de motor.
6.4 Aansluiten
Let op: Ontkoppel de accu voordat u begint met werkzaamheden aan het elektrische systeem van uw auto. Lees dit na in het hand-
boek van uw voertuig of informeer bij uw garage.
Sluit de rode plus-aansluitkabel (positie 4 in het overzicht) van de marterverjager aan op de permanente plus, achter de zekering,
van uw voertuig. De zwarte min-aansluitkabel (punt 5 in het overzicht), sluit u aan op de contactgeschakelde plus, bij de meeste voertuigen is
dit klem 15. Het apparaat schakelt dan uit wanneer het contact wordt aangezet. Zorg ervoor dat er geen andere functies worden beïnvloed.
Controleer of de marterverjager correct is aangesloten. Sluit de accu van het voertuig weer aan. Lees dit na in het handboek van uw voertuig
of informeer hierover bij uw garage.
6.5 Werking
Schakel de ontsteking van uw auto uit. Druk op de aan-/uitschakelaar (positie 3 in het overzicht) om de marterverjager in te schakelen. Het
controlelampje (positie 1 in het overzicht) knippert nu met een interval van ongeveer 3 seconden. In dit interval zendt de ultrasoonluidspreker
(positie 2 in het overzicht) een ultrasone sinusgolf uit. De contactplaten staan na het inschakelen permanent onder hoogspanning.
U kunt de marterverjager in deze toestand laten, ook tijdens het rijden (het apparaat schakelt immers uit wanneer de ontsteking wordt
aangezet).
6.6 Zekering vervangen
Om de zekering te vervangen, schroeft u de zekeringhouder (positie 6 in het overzicht) open door de twee helften van de behuizing tegen de
klokrichting in te draaien.Verwijder de defecte zekering. Plaats een nieuwe zekering van dezelfde sterkte (zie paragraaf 3. Specicaties) in de
zekeringhouder. Schroef de twee helften van de behuizing weer in elkaar door ze met de klok mee te draaien.

6.7Maatregelen voor onderhoud en reparatie van het voertuig
Let op: Informeer de garage over de installatie van uw marterverjager.
Schakel de marterverjager uit (druk op de aan-/uitschakelaar) alvorens te beginnen met de onderhouds- en reparatiewerkzaamhed-
en.Voor de veiligheid haalt u ook de zekering uit de zekeringhouder (zie paragraaf 6.6 Zekering vervangen).
7. Onderhoud en verzorging
Let op: Schakel de marterverjager uit (druk op de aan-/uitschakelaar) en verwijder de zekering uit de zekeringhouder (zie paragraaf
6.6 Zekering vervangen) voordat u met de werkzaamheden begint.
7.1 Onderhoud
Bij reglementair gebruik is de marterverjager onderhoudsvrij.
Controleer regelmatig of het apparaat, de hoogspanningskabel en de contactplaten nog stevig vastzitten.
7.2 Verzorging
Houd de oppervlakken van de contactplaten schoon. Gebruik hiervoor een zachte, eventueel vochtige doek. Gebruik geen agressieve of
oplosmiddelhoudende reinigingsmiddelen.
Hoe vaak u de reinigingsbeurt uitvoert, is afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden, het seizoen en het wegdek.
