INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECIPIENTS
These instructions describe how to unpack and assemble the machine.
The machine is split into main components which are out together using these assembly instructions. Follow
the order for assembly given in the instructions and use the size and type of bolt shown for assembling the
parts - see the symbols below.
This warning symbol denotes instructions which concern your safety and that of others.
Generally speaking, machines must only be assembled by trained service personnel who are able to use
workshop equipment in complete safety. Assembly of some machines also requires knowledge of how to use
the tractor's hydraulics or hydraulic pump station.
Avoid loose, trailing clothing that can get caught in the machine's parts!
Use the personal protective equipment required for the work being carried out.
Only use approved, sturdy lifting equipment. Protect the lifting equipment from sharp edges and prevent any
chains form twisting.
For safety reasons, before the machine is used for the first time, the accompanying instructions
must be read carefully.

The meaning of the symbols
This symbol indicates tips or additional
information.
This warning triangle indicates important safety
information and dangers. If this is not complied
with, it can lead to:
•Serious errors with the machine's operation.
•Damage to the machine.
•Injury or accidents.
Torque moment
Tightening torque for grade 4.6 - 5.8 - 8.8 - 10.9 -
12.9 black and/or galvanised and ungreased
bolts when tightened on smooth surfaces or plain
washers.
For safety reasons, always use original parts.

Assembly The transport safety device is removed from
the hitch.
Fit the hitch on the tractor.
Connect the hydraulics to the tractor.
Single colour marking:
the hydraulic cylinder is driven out to max.

Double colour marking:
the hydraulic cylinder is driven in to min.
length [-]
Pull both cords in.
Activate the tractor's hydraulic system and
swivel both arms down.

Remove the bolt and bushing from the arm.
Apply oil or grease to the bushings.
Inject some grease or viscous oil into the
groove for the O-ring on both sides of the
hinged points on the arm.
Fit O-rings on both sides of the hinged points
on the arm.

Fit the arm on the cutting units.
The machine's cutting units can be moved 260
mm so that the attachment point is moved as
shown.
Moving the attachment point shortens the P.T.O
shaft.
See the Instruction manual for further instruc-
tions.
Apply oil or grease to the bushings before
fitting.
Tighten the bolt to a torque of 650 Nm (480 ft/
lb).

Fit and secure the steel wire on both cutting
units.
Attach the PTO shafts to the transmission.
Remember that the friction clutch on the PTO
shaft must be fitted with the main gear.
•PTO shaft for left side: 99252164
•PTO shaft for right side: 99252161

Secure the PTO shafts with chains.
Attach the PTO shaft to the cutting units.
Do not forget the clamping ring!
Fit and secure the guard on the cutting units.
Rotate the sleeve so that the lubrication hole in the universal joint is turned as
shown.

Raise the machine's cutting unit.
Fit the chain on both arms with the number of
chain links shown in the diagram.
Swivel the support leg down.
Disconnect and park the machine.
