Important
Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-
abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 4 and 5 of this instruction manual.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED
OFF WITH DAMP CLOTH.
Insert the Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, IF NECESSARY.
CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION
HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS
1. Screw the Cam Bolt into the threaded inserts on the panel. Connect both panels together; making sure Cam
Bolt goes into the pre-drilled hole on the end of panel for Cam Lock.
2. Insert the Cam Lock into the pre-drilled large hole on the panel. Make sure the arrow on the face of Cam
Lock faces out and points towards Cam Bolt.
3. Take a Phillips screwdriver and rotate the Cam Lock clockwise to lock the Cam Bolt in place.
4. Plug the Cam Lock Cover into the cross slot of the Cam Lock to conceal the Cam.
You are now ready to assemble the fireplace.

Assembly Instructions
1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assembly the unit on a
carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.
2. Locate the Top Panel (A), Upper Front Moldings (D), Base Front Stretcher (L), Base Left and Right
Stretchers (N and O) with the holes facing up. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (2) into the designated small
holes by a Phillips screwdriver, as shown in the illustration.

3. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (2) into the designated small holes on the Center Shelf (E), Bottom Panel (K),
Left and Right Lower Front Panels (H and I) as shown.

Assembly Instructions
4. Insert one Wood Dowel (3) into the center end hole of Left Upper Side Panel (B). Tap it in with a rubber
mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all dowels.
5. Align the drilled hole on one Upper Front Molding (D) with the inserted Wood Dowel (3) on the Left
Upper Side Panel (B), and then press them together. Secure the Front Molding (D) in place by engaging
two Cam Locks (1) (Refer to page 3 on Cam Lock system operation supplement).
6. Repeat the same procedure to combine the Right Upper Side Panels (C) and the other Upper Front Molding
(D) together.

Assembly Instructions
9. Insert four Wood Dowels (3) into the inner holes at the bottom of both Upper Side Panels (B and C).
10. Properly position the Center Shelf (E) onto the inserted Wood Dowels (3). Insert four 38 mm Screws (5)
through the countersunk holes on Center Shelf (E) and screw into the Upper Side Panels (B and C).

11. Align and attach the Left Lower Front Panel (H) to the Left Lower Side Panel (F) by using two Wood
Dowels (3) and three Cam Locks (1). As shown.
12. Repeat the same procedure to combine the Right Lower Side Panel (I) and Right Lower Front Panel (G)
together.

Assembly Instructions
13. Insert six Wood Dowels (3) into the top inner holes of both Lower Side Panel assemblies.
14. Align the large holes on Center Shelf (E) with the inserted Wood Dowels (3) on the Lower Side Panel
assemblies and press them together. Secure the lower panel assemblies in place with eight Cam Locks (1).

18. Align and attach the assembled base to the Lower Side Panel assemblies with six Wood Dowels (3) and
eight 38 mm Screws (5). As shown above.

Assembly Instructions
19. Stand the assembled unit upright.
20. With the pilot holes as a guide, fasten the Middle Crossbar Assembly (J) to the Lower Front Panels (H and I)
by attaching two Metal Brackets (8) at the joints, using two 12 mm Screws (4) per bracket. As shown.
21. Insert two 20 mm Screws (9) through the countersunk holes on the Lower Front Panels (H and I) and
securely screw into the Middle Crossbar Assembly (J) as shown.

Assembly Instructions
22. Now, go back and securely tighten all the Cam Locks and the Screws. Make sure that all the parts are tight
and there are no gaps between the parts. This will help keep the unit square.
23. Pick up the Back Panel (P) and align the pre-drilled holes against the upper long edge with the pilot holes
on the back stretcher of Top Panel (A). Attach the Back Panel (P) in place using the provided 15 mm
Washer Head Screws (6). As shown.

Assembly Instructions
24. Unpack the fireplace insert from the inner box and follow the instructions to install the Top Trim and Side
Trims to the fireplace insert.
25. Lift the fireplace insert carefully into the back of the assembled mantel and center it in the opening. DO
NOT drag the insert across the Bottom Panel (K) as it may scratch the unit.
