1 User information
The User information section provides information concerning the operating manual.
This operating manual is valid for all versions of the implement.
Figures are provided as a reference and are to be understood as representations of the principle.
All of the equipment is described without designating it as special equipment. A description may be
provided for equipment that is not fitted on the implement or is only available in certain markets. The
sales documents provide information on the equipment of your implement or contact your local service
partner for more detailed information.
All information in this operating manual corresponds to the information available at the time of
publication. Due to ongoing development of the implement, deviations are possible between the
implement and the information in this operating manual. No claims can be made based on differences
in the specifications, figures or descriptions.
Should you desire to sell the implement, ensure that the operating manual is provided with the
implement.

This section contains supplementary information on the safety notices in the operating manual to
ensure safe operation of the implement.
2.1 Obligations and liability
Comply with the notices in the operating manual
Knowledge of the basic safety notices and safety regulations is a fundamental requirement for safe
handling and fault-free machine operation.
Obligations of the owner
The owner is obligated to only allow personnel to work with/on the machine, who
are aware of the basic occupational health and safety regulations and accident prevention
regulations.

Obligations of the operator

If the operator determines that a function is not working properly, then the operator must eliminate this
fault immediately. If this is not the task of the operator or if the operator does not have the appropriate
technical knowledge, then the operator should report this fault to the supervisor (owner).

Risks involved in handling the machine
The machine has been constructed in accordance with the state-of-the art and the acknowledged
safety standards. Nevertheless, when using the machine, risks and impairments can arise
for the health and safety of the user or third parties

Guarantee and liability
Our "General conditions of sales and delivery" always apply. These are available to the owner, at the

will be excluded if they are attributed to one or more of the following causes:
Non-intended use of the implement
Improper installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the implement
Operation of the implement with defective safety devices or improperly attached or non-
functioning safety devices and protective devices
Failure to comply with the instructions in the operating manual regarding commissioning,
operation, and maintenance
Unauthorized structural modifications of the implement
Insufficient monitoring of implement parts that are subject to wear
Improperly executed repairs
Disasters due to the effects of foreign objects and force majeure.

2.2 Presentation of safety symbols
Safety notices are indicated by the triangular safety symbol and the highlighted signal word. The signal
word (DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION) describes the severity of the risk, and has the following
meaning:
DANGER
Indicates a direct hazard with high risk that will result in death or
serious injury (loss of limbs or long-term harm), if not prevented.
Failure to comply with these notices will result in death or serious
injury.
WARNING
Indicates a possible hazard with moderate risk that can result in
death or (serious) injury if not prevented.
Failure to comply with these notices can result in death or serious
injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazard with low risk that can result in minor or
moderate injury or material damage, if not prevented.
IMPORTANT
Indicates an obligation to behave in a particular manner or
indicates an activity required for proper handling of the machine.
Failure to comply with these notices can cause faults on the machine
or damage in the vicinity of the machine.
NOTE
Indicates handling tips and particularly useful information.
These notes will help you to use all the functions of your machine in
the best manner possible.

2.3 Organizational measures
The owner must provide the necessary personal protective equipment, such as:
Protective goggles
Safety footwear
Chemical-resistant overalls
Skin protection agents, etc.
The operating manual:

personnel!
Check all the available safety devices regularly.
2.4 Safety devices and protective devices
All the safety devices and protective devices must be properly attached and fully functional every time
before the machine is started. Check all safety devices and protective devices regularly.
Faulty safety devices
Faulty or dismounted safety devices and protective devices can result in dangerous situations.
2.5 Informal safety measures
In addition to all the safety instructions in this operating manual, also comply with the generally valid
national regulations pertaining to accident prevention and environmental protection.
When driving on public roads and routes, comply with the statutory road traffic regulations.

2.6 Training of personnel
Only trained and instructed persons are allowed to work with/on the machine. The owner must clearly
specify the responsibilities of the persons assigned to operate, maintain, and repair the machine.
Personnel in training are only allowed to work with/on the machine under the supervision of an
experienced person.

1) A person who can take on a specific task, and who is allowed to execute this task for an
appropriately qualified company.
2) Instructed persons are persons, who have been instructed in their assigned tasks and in the
possible risks associated with improper behavior, who have been trained if required, and have
been informed concerning the necessary protective devices and measures.
3) Persons with specialized technical training are considered specialists. Due to their specialized
training and their knowledge of the appropriate regulations, they can evaluate the tasks, with
which they have been entrusted, and they can identify possible dangers.
Comment:
A qualification equivalent to specialized training can be obtained through several years of
experience in the relevant field.
If maintenance and repair tasks are additionally marked as "Workshop
task", only a specialized workshop is allowed to perform these tasks.
The personnel employed in a specialized workshop have the
appropriate knowledge and suitable equipment (tools, lifting devices,
and support devices) for carrying out the maintenance and repair
tasks on the machine in a manner that is both appropriate and safe.

2.7 Safety measures in normal operation
Only operate the machine if all the safety devices and protective devices are fully functional.
Check the implement at least once a day for apparent damage and function of the safety devices and
protective devices.
2.8 Danger from residual energy
Note that residual mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic energy can be present in the
machine.
Take appropriate measures in this regard when instructing the operator. Detailed instructions are
provided in the relevant sections of this operating manual.
2.9 Maintenance and repair, troubleshooting
Execute the required adjustment, maintenance, and inspection tasks in a timely manner.
Secure all media, such as compressed air and the hydraulic system, against unintentional start-up.
Carefully fasten and secure larger assembly groups to lifting gears when executing replacement tasks.
Check all the bolted connections for firm seat. On completion of the maintenance tasks, check the
function of the safety devices and protective devices.

2.10 Structural modifications
Do not make any modifications, attach anything, or convert anything on the implement without
permission
from AMAZONEN-WERKE. This also applies when welding bearing parts.
Any attachment or conversion measures require the written approval of AMAZONEN-WERKE. Only
use conversion parts and special equipment parts that are approved by AMAZONEN-WERKE so that
the type approval, for example, remains valid in accordance with national and international regulations.
Vehicles with an official type approval or with devices and equipment connected to a vehicle with a
valid type approval or approval for road transport according to the German road traffic regulations,
must be in the status specified through the permission or approval.
WARNING
Danger of crushing, cutting, entrapment, entanglement or impact
due to breakage of load-bearing parts.
The following are strictly prohibited
drilling holes in the frame or in the running gear,
enlarging existing holes on the frame or the running gear,
welding on load-bearing parts.
2.10.1 Spare parts, wear parts, and auxiliary materials
Immediately replace any machine parts that are not in perfect condition.
Only use genuine AMAZONE spare parts and wear parts, or spare parts and wear parts approved by
AMAZONEN-WERKE, so that the type approval remains valid in accordance with national and
international regulations. If you use wear parts and spare parts from third parties, there is no
guarantee that such parts have been designed and manufactured in such a manner as to meet the
requirements imposed on them.
AMAZONEN-WERKE shall accept no liability for damage caused by the use of non-approved spare
parts and wear parts or auxiliary materials.
2.11 Cleaning and disposal
Carefully handle and dispose of any materials used, in particular
for tasks on lubrication systems and lubrication equipment
when cleaning with solvents.
2.12 Workstation of the operator
The implement may only be operated by one person, from the driver's seat of the tractor.

2.13 Warning symbols on the implement
Always keep all the warning symbols on the implement clean and in a
legible condition! Replace illegible warning symbols. You can request
the warning symbols from your AMAZONE dealer using the order
number (e.g., MD075).
Structure
Warning symbols indicate danger areas on the implement and warn of residual dangers. In these
danger areas, there are permanently present dangers or dangers that occur unexpectedly.
A warning symbol consists of 2 fields.
Field 1
Shows the danger in a triangular safety symbol.
Field 2
Shows the instructions for avoiding the danger.
Explanatory text adjacent to the warning symbol
The text adjacent to the warning symbol describes
1. The dangers, e.g.:
cutting or severing hazard.
2. The consequence of failure to comply with the hazard avoidance instructions, for example:
This hazard can cause severe finger or hand injuries.
3. Instructions for avoiding the danger, for example:
Do not touch implement parts until after they have come to a complete standstill.

This hazard can cause the most severe injuries
with loss of body parts.
Never reach into the danger area when the
tractor engine is running and the universal joint
shaft or hydraulic system / electronic system is
connected.

Hazard due to foreign objects being ejected
from or out of the implement if people are in
the danger area of the implement!
These hazards can cause severe injuries on all
parts of the body.
Maintain an adequate safety distance from
the danger area of the implement.
Ensure that all other persons also maintain
an adequate safety distance from the
danger area of the implement as long as
the tractor engine is running.

Risk of falling for persons standing on the
implement steps or platforms, while the
implement is in motion!
There is a risk of severe injuries, possibly with
fatal consequences.
Conveying persons on the implement and/or
climbing on the implement in operation are
prohibited. This prohibition also applies to
machines with steps or platforms.
Ensure that nobody is conveyed on the machine.
MD 095
Before commissioning the implement, carefully
read and comply with the operating manual and
the safety instructions!
MD 096
Danger due to hydraulic fluid escaping under
high pressure caused by leaking hydraulic
hose lines.
This danger can cause serious injuries, possibly
with fatal consequences, if hydraulic fluid
escaping under high pressure penetrates the
skin and enters the body.
Never attempt to stop leaks in hydraulic
hose lines with your hand or fingers.
Read and comply with the instructions in
the operating manual before carrying out
any maintenance or repair tasks on the
hydraulic hose lines.
Seek medical attention immediately for all
injuries involving hydraulic fluid.

Danger through intervention on the
implement, through tasks involving
installation, adjustment, troubleshooting,
cleaning, maintenance, and repair, due to the
tractor and the implement starting
unintentionally and rolling!
These hazards can cause serious injuries,
possibly with fatal consequences.
Prevent the tractor and the implement from
starting up and rolling unintentionally, before
any intervention on the implement.
Depending on the type of intervention, read
and follow the instructions in the relevant
sections of the operating manual.

Switch off the control terminal
Prior to road transport
Prior to adjustment, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Risk of accident due to unintentional activation of the metering unit or other implement components.
2.14.1 General safety instructions and accident prevention instructions
In addition to these instructions, also comply with the generally valid national and safety and
accident prevention regulations!
The warning symbols affixed on the implement and other markings provide important instructions
for safe operation of the implement. Compliance with these instructions is essential for your
safety!
Before starting-up and driving off, check the immediate vicinity of the implement (watch out for
children)! Ensure that your view of the work area is unobstructed.
Do not allow anyone to ride on the implement or use it as a means of transport.
Drive in such a way that you always have full control over the tractor with the attached implement.
In so doing, take your personal abilities into account, as well as the road, traffic, visibility and
weather conditions, the driving characteristics of the tractor, and the influences of the mounted or
trailed implement.

Use of the machine
Before starting work, ensure that you understand all the devices and control elements of the
implement and their functions. When the implement is in operation, it is too late to do this.
Wear tight-fitting clothing. There is an increased risk of loose clothing getting caught or entangled
on drive shafts.
Only place the implement in service after all protective devices have been attached and are in
protective position.
Comply with the maximum load of the mounted/trailed implement and the approved axle load and
drawbar load of the tractor. If necessary, drive only with a partially filled tank.
Presence in the working area of the implement is prohibited.
The presence of personnel in the turning area and pivot area of the implement is prohibited!
There are crush points and shear points on power-operated implement parts (e.g. hydraulically
operated).
Only activate power-operated implement parts, when personnel maintain an adequate safety
distance from the implement!
Prevent the tractor from unintentional start-up and rolling before leaving the tractor.
To do this:
lower the implement onto the ground
apply the parking brake
switch off the tractor engine
remove the ignition key.
