SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Please read through the entire instruction manual before starting any of the installation procedures.
2. We recommend disconnecting the negative side of the battery until ready to code the vehicle.
3. Do not install any of the main modules near any major components or near the HVAC system,
as placing items near the HVAC may cause damage or overheating to the vehicle or interface.
4. We recommend not disconnecting any of the air bag connections behind the dash panels.
5. This product is under Crux’s 1 year manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty may be voided in the case where
the device shows proof of being openedorimproperextreme force.

CONNECTING THE INTERFACE
Follow these steps to properly install the interface module.
Step 1 - Remove the display to gain access to the factory LVDS connectors located behind the display.
You will also need to locate the factory GATEWAY module.
Step 2 - Connect the 6-Pin Power harness to the interface module and connect the wires using the wiring color code below.
6-PIN HARNESS WIRES
WHITE = SWITCH SIGNAL*
RED = ACC +12V
YELLOW = CONSTANT +12V
BLACK = GROUND
GRAY = MMI SIGNAL**
GREEN = REVERSE +12V
Notes: *Switch signal requires +12V
**MMI Signal is the communication with the interface on sharing control signal to DVD.
USE THE 6-PIN HARNESS WIRES TO POWER YOUR CAMERA:
GREEN = +12V
BLACK = GROUND

Connecting to the Audi GATEWAY Module
The Audi Gateway Module looks like the picture below and can be found in dierent areas in the vehicle. Please see below for possible
locations.
A1 and A3 = Under the steering wheel connection
A6, A7, A8 = Near the passenger’s right foot stand
Q3 and Q5 = Near the passenger’s left knee

CONNECTING THE LVDS
These steps will help you with installing the LVDS connections on the module.
Step 3 - Connect the factory LVDS to the INPUT on our module, then connect our OUTPUT LVDS connection to the factory display.
Step 4 - After connecting the module, set the proper dip switches to the “ON” position. Make sure to set the AV sources being used to the
“ON” position. NOTE: The Video In-Motion feature does not require activation. This feature is permanently ON and will not
disturb the navigation GPS performance.

After each change of the DIP switch settings,
we recommend powering down the module,
then restarting the vehicle.

INPUTS AND OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS
This will guide you on how to connectthe AV and Camera inputs.
Step 1 - Use the RCA inputs on the bottom of the module for your Camera and AV inputs.
WHILE IN REVERSE, TO REMOVE THE PARKING SENSOR DISPLAY. PRESS THE MODE BUTTON ON THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROL.
If you have the Dynamic Guidelines active andthe car sits in reverse and do not respond, theDynamic Guidelines will return when the vehicleis
in motion.
Step 2 - The 6-Pin Audio Input/Output cable is used to control the audio. AV1 and AV2 audio input and 1 Audio Output.

USING THE MENU BUTTONS
The installer hasMENU options available. These buttons are on the bottom side the main interface module.
Step 1 - Use the 3 buttons on the bottom to adjustthe following:
Button 1 = Menu
Button 2 = Up (+)
Button 3 = Down (-)
(From left to right)
THE GUIDE LINE SETTING IS FOR THE DYNAMIC GUIDE LINES.
SWITCHING AV INPUTS
For the audio to be present from the AV sources, make sure the AUX source is selected on the radio.
The interface also provides you withaoptional Switch Button for toggling through the AV inputs.
Press the MODE button on the steering wheel control to toggle the inputs.

You can use the optional Toggle Switch to toggle the sources. Simply connectthe 4-Pin connector to the side of the module.
