Designated use
The field bus node type CPX-FB6 described in this manual has
been designed exclusively for use as a slave on the Interbus.
The CPX terminal may only be used as follows:
– in accordance with designated use
– in its original state
– without any modifications by the user
– in faultless technical condition.
– The maximum values specified for pressures, tempera-
tures, electrical data, torques etc. must be observed.
Please comply with national and local safety laws and regula-
tions.
Target group
This manual is intended exclusively for technicians trained in
control and automation technology, who have experience in
installing, commissioning, programming and diagnosing
slaves on the Interbus.
Service
Please consult your local Festo service centre if you have any
technical problems.

Please note
This manual refers to CPX field bus node type CPX-FB6 as
from software version 1.4 and hardware version 06/01.
This manual contains special information on installing, com-
missioning, programming and diagnosing with the CPX field
bus node for Interbus.
General basic information on the method of operation, on
fitting, installing and commissioning CPX terminals can be
found in the CPX system manual.
Information on further CPX modules can be found in the man-
ual for the relevant module. The table below gives an over-
view.
