Read the operating instructions carefully before
using the lanyard , train yourself properly, familiarise
yourself with it and use it responsibly. Activities
at height involve serious risks not outlined in this
manual, where each user is responsible for the
management of such risks, their safety, their actions
and the consequences of these, if you do not
assume this or do not understand this manual, do
not use the equipment.
DESCRIPTION
This manual refers to Nexion 100, 150, 150-H, 258
and 259.
A lanyard is a connecting element and can be used
as a component of a fall arrest system. It may be
used in conjunction with an energy absorber in
accordance with EN 355:2002, in which case the
length of the carabiner/absorber/lanyard assembly
may not exceed two metres.
A lanyard without an energy absorber shall not be
used for fall arrest. A lanyard may have integrated
connectors (EN 362:2005).
The use of the lanyard with a fall arrester subsystem
shall be compatible with the instructions for
use of each component of the system and with
the Standards: EN 355:2002, EN 361:2002, EN
362:2005.
IRUDEK connecting elements are classified as PPE
(Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with
EU Regulation 2016/425 on PPE and conform to
European Standard EN 354:2011 (lanyards).
IRUDEK 30100 tape is made of 30mm polyester
tape, IRUDEK NEXION ropes are made of polyamide
Ø 12mm diameter, and the connectors are made of
steel.
The declaration of conformity is available on the

NOMENCLATURE
Description of parts: 1-Buttonhole, 2-Identification
label, 3-String, 4-Seam and seam protector, 5-
onnectors.
LIMITATIONS ON USE
The equipment must be individually attributed to a
person.
It is recommended that the anchorage point to
which the fall arrest system is to be attached should
be above the user. The anchorage point shall have
a minimum static strength of 12 kN and shall be in
accordance with the requirements of EN 795:2012.
Personal protective equipment must not be used by
persons whose state of health may affect the safety
of the user in normal use or in an emergency.
Personal protective equipment must only be used by
a person trained and competent in its safe use.
The total length of a subsystem consisting of
a lanyard with integrated energy absorber, its
terminals and connectors shall not exceed 2 metres.
When using the equipment, ensure that it is not
positioned in such a way that the user can trip over
it.
A fall arrest harness is the only acceptable body
restraint device that can be used in a fall arrest
system.
If this lanyard is part of a fall protection system,
it may only be connected to harness attachment
points marked with the capital letter "A". The
marking "A/2" indicates that two connection points
with the same marking must be connected at the
same time. It is forbidden to connect the protection
system to a single connection point which is marked
"A/2".
The connection to the anchorage point and other
equipment shall be made by means of carabiners
according to EN 362:2002.
USE
Follow steps 1 to 2 for the use of the lanyard. The
lanyard has two sewn eyelets with thimbles, one at
each end, which are used as connection points.
•Step 1: onnect one end to a component of the
fall arrest system via a connector conforming to
EN 362:2002. If the component has a connector
at its anchorage point, connect the end directly
to the connector.
•Step 2 Following the instructions in step 1,
connect the other end of the lanyard to the other
component to be connected.
CHECKS BEFORE USE
The user must perform a visual and functional
inspection of the equipment components before it
is used, ensuring that there are no signs of damage,
excess wear, corrosion, abrasion, damage caused by
ultraviolet radiation, cuts or improper use. Special
care must be taken when inspecting straps, seams,
anchoring rings, buckles and adjusting components.
