2 Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Die Orthese ist ausschließlich zur orthetischen Versorgung der unteren Extremität einzusetzen
und ausschließlich für den Kontakt mit intakter Haut bestimmt.
Die Orthese muss indikationsgerecht eingesetzt werden.
2.2 Indikationen
50S24 Infinity Double Air Walker high
• Postoperative und konservative Behandlung von stabilen Vorfuß-, Mittelfuß- und/oder Knö
chelfrakturen
• Postoperative und konservative Behandlung von distalen Fibulafrakturen
• Weichteilverletzungen des Fußes
• Schwere Knöcheldistorsionen
50S25 Infinity Double Air Walker low
• Postoperative und konservative Behandlung von stabilen Vorfuß-, Mittelfuß- und/oder Knö
chelfrakturen
• Weichteilverletzungen des Fußes
• Exostosenabtragung bei Hallux-Valgus
Die Indikation wird vom Arzt gestellt.
2.3 Kontraindikationen
2.3.1 Absolute Kontraindikationen

2.3.2 Relative Kontraindikationen
Bei nachfolgenden Indikationen ist eine Rücksprache mit dem Arzt erforderlich: Hauterkrankun
gen/-verletzungen, Entzündungen, aufgeworfene Narben mit Schwellung, Rötung und Überwär
mung im versorgten Körperabschnitt; Krampfadern stärkeren Ausmaßes, insbesondere mit Rück
fluss-Störungen, Lymphabfluss-Störungen – auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des
Hilfsmittels; Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen im Bereich des Unterschenkels und des
Fußes, z.B. bei diabetischer Neuropathie.
2.4 Wirkungsweise
Die Orthese dient der Immobilisierung des Fuß-Sprunggelenk-Bereichs.

4 Handhabung

4.1 Auswählen der Größe

4.2 Anpassen und Anlegen

den soll, wenn das Produkt oder ein Teil des Produkts Verschleißerscheinungen (z. B. Ris
se, Verformungen, schlechte Passform) oder Schäden aufweist.

►Die Einstellung des Produkts darf nur durch Fachpersonal vorgenommen werden.

> Alle Klettverschlüsse der Orthese öffnen.
> Die Frontschale der Orthese abnehmen.
1) Den Fuß in der Orthese positionieren (siehe Abb.1). Dabei die Position der Ferse beachten!
2) INFORMATION: Die Position des Zehenschutzes darf nicht verändert werden.
3) Alle Klettverschlüsse des Liners schließen (siehe Abb.2).
4) Die Frontschale mittig auf dem Liner positionieren (siehe Abb.3).
5) Alle Klettverschlüsse des Walkers, von oben beginnend, nacheinander schließen (siehe
Abb.4).

►Befüllen Sie die Luftpolster nur soweit mit Luft, dass keine Relativbewegungen zwischen
dem Körperteil und der Orthese möglich sind.
1) Die Pumpe (siehe Abb.5, Pos.1) auf beiden Seiten der Orthese so oft drücken bis die ge
wünschte Kompression erreicht ist.
2) Optional: Zum Ablassen der Luft die Abdeckkappe des Druckventils öffnen und das Druck
ventil (siehe Abb.5, Pos.2) betätigen.
4.3 Reinigung
HINWEIS
Verwendung falscher Reinigungsmittel
Beschädigung des Produktes durch falsche Reinigungsmittel
►Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit den zugelassenen Reinigungsmitteln.
Die Orthese regelmäßig reinigen:
Liner:
1) Den Liner vom Orthesenrahmen entfernen.
2) Alle Klettverschlüsse schließen.
3) Den Liner in 30°C warmen Wasser mit einem handelsüblichen Feinwaschmittel von Hand
waschen. Gut ausspülen.
4) An der Luft trocknen lassen. Direkte Hitzeeinwirkung vermeiden (z.B. durch Sonnenbestrah
lung, Ofen- oder Heizkörperhitze).
Orthesenrahmen:
1) Bei Bedarf mit einem feuchten Lappen abwischen.

5 Entsorgung
Das Produkt gemäß den geltenden nationalen Vorschriften entsorgen.
6 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des Verwenderlandes und
können dementsprechend variieren.
6.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und Anweisungen in diesem
Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbe
sondere durch unsachgemäße Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verur

Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinie 93/42/EWG für Medizinpro

The instructions for use provide you with important information for adjusting and applying the
50S24 Infinity Double Air Walker high and 50S25 Infinity Double Air Walker low immobilisation
orthoses.
2 Application
2.1 Indications for use
The orthosis is intended exclusively for orthotic fittings of the lower limbs and exclusively for
contact with intact skin.
The orthosis must be used in accordance with the indications.
2.2 Indications
50S24 Infinity Double Air Walker high
• Postoperative, conservative treatment of stable forefoot, metatarsal and/or ankle fractures
• Postoperative, conservative treatment of distal fibula fractures
• Soft tissue injuries of the foot
• Severe ankle sprains
50S25 Infinity Double Air Walker low
• Postoperative, conservative treatment of stable forefoot, metatarsal and/or ankle fractures
• Soft tissue injuries of the foot
• Exostosis treatment for hallux valgus
Indications must be determined by the physician.
2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications

2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following indications require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma
tion, prominent scars that are swollen, reddening and hyperthermia of the fitted limb; pronounced
varicose veins, especially with return flow impairment, lymphatic flow disorders, including unclear
soft tissue swelling distant to the body area to which the support will be applied; sensory and cir
culatory disorders in the area of the lower leg and the foot, e.g. in case of diabetic neuropathy.
2.4 Effects
The orthosis serves to immobilise the foot/ankle joint area.

4 Handling
INFORMATION

cian.

►Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).

Damage to the product due to incorrectly assembled or incorrectly adjusted components
►The product may only be adjusted by qualified personnel.

> Open all hook-and-loop closures on the orthosis.
> Remove the front shell from the orthosis.
1) Position the foot in the orthosis (see fig.1). Check the position of the heel whilst doing this.
2) INFORMATION: Do not change the position of the toe protector.
3) Close all hook-and-loop closures on the liner (see fig.2).
4) Position the front shell so it is centred on the liner (see fig.3).
5) Close all hook-and-loop closures on the Walker one after the other, starting at the top (see
fig.4).
Increasing compression
CAUTION
Pumping up the air cushions too much
Risk of local pressure and constriction of adjacent blood vessels and nerves due to excessively
tight application
►Only fill the air cushions with enough air to impede relative movements between the body
part and the orthosis.
1) Push the pump (see fig.5, item1) on both sides of the orthosis as often as required to
achieve the desired compression.
2) Optional: to deflate, open the cover cap on the pressure valve and engage the pressure valve
(see fig.5, item2).

4.3 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
►Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the orthosis regularly:
Liner:
1) Remove the liner from the orthosis frame.
2) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
3) Hand wash the liner in warm water at 30°C with standard mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
4) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g.sunlight, stove or radiator).
Orthosis frame:
1) Wipe with a damp cloth as needed.
2) Allow to air dry. Do not expose to direct heat sources (e.g. sunlight, stove or radiator).
5 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
6 Legal Information

accordingly.

2 Utilisation
2.1 Usage prévu
L’orthèse est exclusivement destinée à un appareillage orthétique de l’extrémité inférieure et elle
est conçue uniquement pour entrer en contact avec une peau intacte.
Il est impératif d’utiliser l’orthèse conformément aux indications.
2.2 Indications
50S24 Infinity Double Air Walker high
• Traitement postopératoire et conservateur des fractures partielles de l’avant-pied, du méta
tarse et/ou de la cheville
• Traitement postopératoire et conservateur des fractures distales de la fibula
• Lésions des parties molles du pied
• Distorsions graves de la cheville
50S25 Infinity Double Air Walker low
• Traitement postopératoire et conservateur des fractures partielles de l’avant-pied, du méta
tarse et/ou de la cheville
• Lésions des parties molles du pied
• Ablation d’exostoses en cas d’hallux valgus
L’indication est déterminée par le médecin.
2.3 Contre-indications

Les indications suivantes requièrent la consultation d’un médecin: lésions ou affections cuta
nées, inflammations, cicatrices exubérantes avec œdème, rougeurs et hyperthermie dans la zone
du corps appareillée, varices relativement étendues, en particulier troubles du reflux veineux,
troubles de la circulation lymphatique et également œdèmes inexpliqués des parties molles se
trouvant à distance de la zone du corps appareillée, troubles de la perception et de la circulation
sanguine dans la zone de la jambe inférieure et dans la zone du pied, par ex. en cas de neuropa
thie diabétique.
2.4 Effets thérapeutiques
L’orthèse permet l’immobilisation de la zone de la cheville et du pied.

4.1 Sélection de la taille

1) Positionnez le pied dans l’orthèse (voir ill.1). Assurez-vous que le talon est bien positionné!
2) INFORMATION: La position de la protection des orteils ne doit pas être modifiée.
3) Fermez toutes les fermetures velcro du manchon (voir ill.2).
4) Placez la coque frontale au centre du manchon (voir ill.3).
5) Fermez toutes les fermetures velcro du Walker les unes après les autres en commençant par
le haut (voir ill.4).
Augmenter la compression
PRUDENCE
Coussins d’air trop gonflés
Pressions locales et compression des vaisseaux sanguins et des nerfs recouverts par le produit
en raison d’un serrage excessif
►Gonflez les coussins d’air juste assez pour empêcher tout mouvement relatif entre le
membre du corps et l’orthèse.
1) Appuyez sur la pompe (voir ill.5, pos.1) des deux côtés de l’orthèse jusqu’à atteindre la
compression de votre choix.
2) Facultatif: pour relâcher de l’air, ouvrez le capuchon de la valve de pression et activez la
valve de pression (voir ill.5, pos.2).

►Nettoyez le produit uniquement avec les détergents autorisés.
Nettoyez l'orthèse régulièrement:
Manchon:
1) Retirez le manchon du cadre de l’orthèse.
2) Fermez toutes les fermetures velcro.
3) Lavez le manchon à la main à 30°C avec une lessive pour linge délicat. Rincez bien.
4) Laissez sécher à l’air. Évitez toute source de chaleur directe (parex. le rayonnement solaire
ou la chaleur d’un poêle/d’un radiateur).
Cadre de l’orthèse:
1) Essuyez-le à l'aide d'un chiffon humide si nécessaire.
2) Laissez sécher à l'air. Évitez toute source de chaleur directe (par ex. le rayonnement solaire

5 Mise au rebut
Éliminez le produit conformément aux prescriptions nationales en vigueur.
6 Informations légales

L'ortesi è indicata esclusivamente per il trattamento ortesico degli arti inferiori e deve essere ap
plicata esclusivamente sulla pelle intatta.
L'ortesi va applicata nel rispetto delle indicazioni.

2.3 Controindicazioni

In presenza delle seguenti controindicazioni è necessario consultare il medico: malattie/lesioni
della pelle; infiammazioni, cicatrici in rilievo caratterizzate da gonfiori, arrossamento e ipertermia
della parte in cui è applicata l'ortesi, vene varicose di ampia estensione, in particolare in caso di
disturbi del circolo venoso, disturbi del flusso linfatico inclusi gonfiori dei tessuti molli non identifi
cati, distanti dall'area del corpo in cui sono applicati il supporto/l'ortesi, disturbi della sensibilità
e circolatori nella regione della gamba e del piede, p. es nel caso di neuropatia diabetica.
2.4 Azione terapeutica
L'ortesi è indicata per immobilizzare il comparto piede-caviglia.

4 Utilizzo
INFORMAZIONE
►È il medico a stabilire generalmente il tempo di impiego giornaliero e la durata di utilizzo.
►La prima applicazione del prodotto e il relativo adattamento al corpo del paziente devono es
sere eseguiti esclusivamente da personale specializzato.
►Istruire il paziente circa l'uso e la cura corretti del prodotto.
►Il paziente deve essere informato della necessità di recarsi immediatamente da un medico
nel caso in cui notasse cambiamenti inusuali (p.es. aumento dei disturbi).
4.1 Scelta della misura
►Scegliere la misura dell'ortesi in base alla misura della scarpa (vedere tabella misure).
4.2 Adattamento e applicazione

►Richiamare l'attenzione del paziente sul fatto che il prodotto non deve essere più utilizzato se
presenta, anche parzialmente, segni di usura (tagli, deformazioni, cattiva aderenza, ecc.) o
danneggiamento.

Regolazione non corretta
Danni al prodotto legati a componenti montati o regolati in modo errato
►La regolazione del prodotto deve essere eseguita esclusivamente da personale tecnico spe
cializzato.

1) Posizionare il piede nell'ortesi (v. fig.1). Controllare la posizione del tallone!
2) INFORMAZIONE: Non modificare la posizione del protettore delle dita del piede.
3) Chiudere tutte le chiusure a velcro del liner (v. fig.2).
4) Posizionare la protezione anteriore al centro del liner (v. fig.3).
5) Chiudere tutte le chiusure a velcro del Walker, partendo dall'alto (v. fig.4).
Aumentare la compressione
CAUTELA
Gonfiaggio eccessivo del cuscino ad aria
Un'applicazione troppo stretta dell'ortesi può causare la comparsa di punti di pressione localiz
zati e la compressione di vasi sanguigni e nervi
►Riempire il cuscino ad aria sino a quando non sono più possibili movimenti relativi tra la par
te del corpo interessata e l'ortesi.
1) Premere la pompa su entrambi i lati dell'ortesi sino a raggiungere la compressione desiderata
(v. fig.5, pos.1).
2) Opzionale: per fare uscire l'aria, aprire il cappuccio della valvola e azionare la valvola (v.
fig.5, pos.2).
4.3 Pulizia
AVVISO
Utilizzo di detergenti inappropriati

►Pulire il prodotto usando esclusivamente i detergenti autorizzati.
Pulire regolarmente l'ortesi:
Liner:
1) rimuovere il liner dal telaio dell'ortesi.
2) Chiudere tutte le chiusure a velcro.
3) Lavare il liner a mano a 30°C con un comune detergente per prodotti delicati. Risciacquare
con cura.

4) Lasciare asciugare all’aria. Evitare l'esposizione diretta a fonti di calore (p.es. raggi solari,
calore di stufe o termosifoni).

1) Se necessario, pulire passando un panno umido.

5 Smaltimento
Smaltire il prodotto in conformità alle vigenti prescrizioni nazionali.

2.3 Contraindicaciones
2.3.1 Contraindicaciones absolutas

Los usuarios que presenten alguna de las siguientes indicaciones deberán consultar a su médi
co: enfermedades o lesiones de la piel; inflamaciones; cicatrices hipertróficas con hinchazón, en
rojecimiento y sobrecalentamiento en la región corporal que se va a tratar; varices severas, espe
cialmente con alteraciones de la circulación venosa; trastornos del flujo linfático (incluidas las
hinchazones difusas de las partes blandas, alejadas del medio auxiliar); alteraciones sensitivas y
circulatorias en las zonas de la pantorrilla y del pie (pej., en casos de neuropatía diabética).
2.4 Modo de funcionamiento
La órtesis sirve para inmovilizar la zona del pie y de la articulación del tobillo.
