Avoid locating any cables in positions that would cause a hazard. Position cables and outdoor rated junction boxes
(not supplied) away from areas where they may be at risk from being cut, trapped or damaged.
We recommend that you use H07RN-F specification cable (not supplied) which is an outdoor grade, rubber sheathed cable.

Never put anything on the product or hang anything on any part of this product.
The mounting surface must be able to accommodate the weight / height of the fitting. If installing on an existing
secure (concrete) base, use the holes in the post base as a template to
drill suitable fixing holes and prepare with suitable ground fixing
bolts (not supplied). The supply cable (at least 250mm) must come
out of the mounting surface and directly into the terminal block in the
base / post of the fitting.
Installation
Existing fittings must be completely removed before installation of a new product. Before removing the existing fitting, carefully
note the position of each set of wires.
Note that the switch is turned off before installation.
Ensure that the screws and cable entry points are sealed to maintain the IP rating of the product.
After deciding the layout of the light fittings ensure that the cables are long enough to connect to desired positions.
• Determine the position of your light fitting taking into account the entry position of the cable.
• Place the base of the light fitting over the cable and use it as a template to mark the mounting hole positions and drill the
holes to the necessary size and depth, taking care not to damage any concealed pipes or wiring.
250mm Min
• Ensure the rubber seal is in place for ingress protection. Do not overtighten.
• Replace fuse or circuit breaker and switch on. Your light is now ready for use.
• Connect the house wiring to the terminal block - see expanded wiring diagram. When you are sure of the connections wrap
the Terminal Block and overlap the wiring both sides with 2 layers of insulation tape. NOTE: This is a class 1 fitting and
must be earthed.
• Secure the cable clamp over the incoming cable and then push the terminal block assembly fully inside the base.
• Secure the post to the mounting surface making sure that all cables are contained inside the fitting.
