Package contents include (2) top attaching straps
(2) bottom attaching straps, (8) #10 x 1/2” flat head
screws and (8) #10 x 1-1/2” oval head screws.
Wall Attachment
800 Series Lateral File
The following directions are provided to aid you when installing a Avenir panel to a lateral file that is
mounted on either a leg base or panel cabinet base (PCB). The contents of the package can also be used
to attach a panel to a wall. Installation will require (2) installers and the following tools:
For mounting to dry wall, plaster or wood, you will need a phillips tip screwdriver, flat tip screwdriver, 1/4” drill
motor, #30 drill bit, hammer, 3/8” wrench and wall anchors. For concrete walls a star drill and wall anchors
are recommended.
For mounting panels to lateral files you will need a flat tip screwdriver, phillips tip screwdriver, 1/4” drill motor,
5/32” drill bit, center punch, 3/8” wrench and pliers.

Lateral File Attachment
1. Remove the top cap .
2. Remove tape.
3. Remove base trim.
4. Insert pin
5. Position top attaching strap and panel against
the lateral file and mark.

6. Position bottom attaching strap and panel
against the lateral file and mark.
7. Position top attaching strap against the lateral
file and attach with #10 x 1/2 flat head screws.
8. Position bottom attaching strap against the
lateral file and attach with #10 x 1/2 flat head
screws.
9. Secure top of panel with (1) bolt.
10. Secure bottom of panel by inserting the pin
into the bottom attaching strap.

Wall Attachment
6. Position bottom, top attaching straps and panel
against the wall and mark.
7. Position top attaching strap against the wall and
attach with #10 x 1-1/2 oval head screws.
8. Position bottom attaching strap against the wall
and attach with #10 x 1-1/2 oval head screws.
9. Secure bottom of panel by inserting the pin into
the bottom attaching strap.
10. Secure top of panel with (1) bolt.
