This Operation Manual (OM) applies to Oxgard Cube C-10 full height rotor
turnstile and its modifications (hereinafter referred to as the product). Product
firmware version:
FС C-10
The manufacturer reserves the right to change configuration, technical
characteristics and appearance of the product without further notice
Before using the product, please read the Logbook VZR.249600.000 LB as
well.
This OM is a document certifying the product’s basic parameters and
characteristics guaranteed by the manufacturer.
The Operation Manual is designed to instruct the user on the principle of
operation, structure of the product to correctly operate the product, fully utilize its
technical capabilities and maintain its constant readiness for operation.
The turnstile is delivered in a normally open design, i.e., when the power is
off, it allows passage in both directions. When the turnstile is turned on, 2 beeps
are sounded.

1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1.1 Product description and operation
1.1.1 High OxgardCube C-10 full height rotor turnstile is designed for
control over passing of people at checkpoints of sites with strict requirements to
access control and a need of full blocking of the passage zone height along.
It is applied to control access and manage people traffic separating it in
one-by-one manner. The turnstile can be used at checkpoints of enterprises and
organizations, in institutions, banks, in educational institutions, sports and
entertainment facilities, shops, terminal stations etc.
To ensure convenient and fast passage of people, it is recommended to
install one product per 300 people working during one shift.

1.1.4 Product structure.
The turnstile housing and the rotor gate are made of steel and painted with
powder paint (color as selected).

The turnstile consists of:
1) fixed fencing panel (Figure 1 –1);
2) moving fencing elements –rotor gate (Figure 1 –2);

3) fixed fencing elements (Figure 1 –3);
4) upper module (Figure 1 –4);
5) actuating mechanism (Figure 1 –5), located inside the upper module.
Removable cover with two locks are located in the upper part of the
turnstile upper module for quick access to the control board upon connecting CP
and ACS cables. The cable inputs are led to the fixed fencing panel post (Figure 1
–6).
Initial state of the turnstile is closed (the turnstile is closed for passage in
both directions).

1.1.5 Indication system
The turnstile indication system consists of a panel located on the inner post
of the turnstile under the insert made of acrylic glass. Figure 3 –the operation
modes of the turnstile are displayed on the panels in the form of mnemonic signs
depicting authorization and non-authorization of passage.

1.1.6 Marking contains manufacturer’s trademark, designation, and
serial number.

1.2 Description and operation of Oxgard Praktika control panel
Universal Oxgard Praktika control panel is designed for controlling Oxgard
turnstiles.
1.2.1 The housing is made of stainless steel and the control buttons
and operating mode LED indicators are located on the front side. The
specifications are given in Table 3.

OPERATE THE TURNSTILE AT THE POWER VOLTAGE OTHER THAN
SPECIFIED IN TABLE 2.
APPLY PASTES AND LIQUIDS CHEMICALLY AGGRESSIVE TO
MATERIALS OF THE HOUSING WHEN CLEANING THE PRODUCT.
Operating conditions:
The turnstile by resistance to climatic impact belongs to modification U2 as
per GOST 15150-69 (for outdoor operation). IP-54 protection class
The turnstile operation is allowed at an ambient temperature from -40 °С to
+50 °С and relative air humidity up to 95 %.
The turnstile control panel by resistance to climatic impact belongs to
modification UKhL4 as per GOST 15150-69 (for indoor use with artificially
controlled climatic conditions).
The control panel operation is allowed at an ambient temperature from
+1 °С to +55 °С and relative air humidity up to 80 % at +25 °С.
2.2 Preparing the product for use
2.2.1 Safety measures during product preparation
ATTENTION: TO AVOID INJURIES AND BLOCKING OF THE
TURNSTILE, BEFORE CONNECTING THE TURNSTILE, CLEAR THE
TURNSTILE ELEMENTS ROTATION AREA FROM PEOPLE AND FOREIGN
OBJECTS.
2.2.2 Rules and procedures for visual inspection of the product
Visual inspection of the product before connecting it to the mains shall be
obligatory and include:

1) check for product housing mechanical damage: cracks, through holes resulted from
fasteners drop-out;
2) thorough inspection of all connections of the product.
2.2.3 Turning on the product.
Connect the PSU to ~220 volts mains and turn it on. Turnstile voltage: 12
V.
Check the correctness of all connections of the main and auxiliary
equipment.
Turn on the turnstile power supply unit.
Figure 4 –Check that the turnstile rotor is in the initial blocking position. If
the rotor is installed not in zero position, a beep is heard signaling that the rotor is
not in a zero point. An indication blinks on the turnstile indication panel indicating
the side to which the turnstile must be turned to reach the zero position.

Figure 4 –if the rotor is installed correctly, a red cross forbidding the
passage will light up on the indication panel of the turnstile. Two beeps will sound.
LED indicator of the Stop button on the CP will light up red. The passage
zone lighting lamps will light up.
The turnstile is ready to work. Check the product operation in all modes.

2.3 Product operation
2.3.1 Product operating modes
ATTENTION: TO USE THE FULL SPECTRUM OF SETTINGS
WITH USING THE CONTROL PANEL, A UNIVERSAL CONTROL PANEL UCP
02, WITH ADVANCED POSSIBILITIES, IS REQUIRED. BASIC CONTROL
PANEL BCP 01 DOES NOT HAVE ALL OPPORTUNITIES OF UCP 02 AND
DOESN'T HAVE AN INDICATION LIGHT.
The product can operate in several modes. Desired mode can be enabled
using the CP or ACS. The indication of the operation modes is displayed on the
indication panel in the form of mnemonic signs depicting authorization and non-
authorization of passage. Work with ACS is considered in the Installation Manual.
2.3.2 Controlling the product using the control panel

turnstile operating mode.

STOP mode
The "STOP" mode is set when the product is turned on. For switching to
the STOP mode from any other mode, press button 2; the LED indicator over
button 2 lights red. The passage is non-authorized in both directions in this mode.
When the rotor is deflected, the stopper will not let it rotate for passage.
One-time passage mode
Button 1 (3) enables one-time passage mode to the left (right). When this
mode is enabled, one pass to the left (right) will be allowed, followed by entering
the "STOP" mode. The arrow indicator turns on the indication panel showing a
free passage to the left (right).
On the CP, the LED indicator over the button, located on the side where
passing is allowed, lights green, and lights red over button 2. If a pass has not
been completed within 8 seconds, the product is automatically switched to
"STOP" mode.
Multiple passage in one direction mode (works with UCP 02 only)
To enter this mode, press and hold button 2, then press button 1 (3). Both
buttons can be released thereafter.
Multiple pass mode is displayed on the control panel by green light above
button 1 (3), the red LED indicator above button 2 is off. The arrow indicator on
the indication panel shows the direction of the authorized passage.
The passage is allowed in the authorized direction for an unlimited number
of times in this mode.
It is also possible to authorize a single pass into the non-authorized
direction by pressing button 1 (3). The product will return to the original mode after
this passage or within 8 seconds.

Free passage mode
To enter this mode, press and hold button 1, then press button 3 and
release both buttons. In this mode, passes in both directions are allowed for an
unlimited number of times.
The arrow indicators on the indication panel blink in both directions. On the
CP, the LED indicators over buttons 1 and 3 light green.
Antipanic mode
For switching to this mode from any mode, press button 4. The green
arrows will blink on the indication panels on both sides. In this mode, passes in
both directions are allowed for an unlimited number of times. The LED indicator of
the universal control panel over button 2 lights yellow.
2.3.3 Controlling the product using the UCP 02 universal control panel
(shown in Table 4).
To activate or change a particular setting, press and hold a certain combination of
buttons. It is necessary to hold them for 8 or 16 seconds, until a sound signal and
rapid flashing of all buttons backlight of the control panel (for the control panels
without sound, only the flashing of the backlight). During the application of the
settings, when the indication is on, DO NOT PRESS THE CONTROL PANELS
BUTTONS!

2.4 Emergency procedures
To open passageway in emergency situation, use the ANTI-PANIC mode:
in this mode, the rotor will unlock and passageway will be free.
ATTENTION: WHEN OPERATING THE PRODUCT, NOTE THAT
ELECTRIC CIRCUIT CAN BE A SOURCE OF FIRE DANGER IN CASE OF
SHORT CIRCUIT, INSULATION BREAKDOWN AND SPARKING.
In case of fire, switch external power supply off. Use powder extinguishers
to extinguish fire in the product, wiring and cables.

3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General instructions
Maintenance (hereinafter referred to as MNT) of the product shall be
carried out in accordance with this Operation Manual.
3.1.1 To maintain product performance and ensure design service life,
periodical in-service product MNT shall be performed, including during warranty
period.
3.1.2 Scheduled maintenance shall be performed once every 6
months. If a fault occurs, maintenance should be performed immediately after
troubleshooting.
3.1.3 Maintenance is recommended to be performed by two persons
who are qualified mechanical and electromechanical specialists (or electricians),
at least category 3, and who have read and understood this Operation Manual.
3.2 Safety precautions
When performing maintenance, safety measures shall be observed.
Maintenance shall be performed by specially trained technical personnel.
