1.1 Konstruktion und Funktion
Der Prothesenfuß 1C40 C-Walk eignet sich zum Gehen auf unterschiedli
chen Untergründen und in einem großen Geschwindigkeitsbereich.
Die funktionellen Eigenschaften des Prothesenfußes werden durch die Fe
derelemente aus Carbon erreicht. Der Prothesenfuß erlaubt eine spürbare
Plantarflexion bei Fersenauftritt und eine natürliche Abrollbewegung. Dabei
geben die Federelemente die gespeicherte Energie wieder ab.
1.2 Kombinationsmöglichkeiten
Diese Prothesenkomponente ist kompatibel mit dem Ottobock Modularsys
tem. Die Funktionalität mit Komponenten anderer Hersteller, die über kom
patible modulare Verbindungselemente verfügen, wurde nicht getestet.
2 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
2.1 Verwendungszweck
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich für die prothetische Versorgung der unteren
Extremität einzusetzen.
2.2 Einsatzgebiet
Unsere Komponenten funktionieren optimal, wenn sie mit geeigneten Kom
ponenten kombiniert werden, ausgewählt auf Basis von Körpergewicht und
Mobilitätsgrad, die mit unserer MOBIS Klassifizierungsinformation identifi
zierbar sind, und die über passende modulare Verbindungselemente verfü
gen.

Das Produkt ist vom Hersteller nach ISO 10328 auf 2 Millionen Belastungs
zyklen geprüft. Dies entspricht, je nach Aktivitätsgrad des Patienten, einer
Nutzungsdauer von 2 bis 3 Jahren.
Fußhülle, Schutzsocke
Das Produkt ist ein Verschleißteil, das einer üblichen Abnutzung unterliegt.

5.1 Aufbau
INFORMATION
Am proximalen Anschluss des Prothesenfußes befindet sich ein Adapter
schutz aus Kunststoff. So wird der Anschlussbereich während des Auf
baus und der Anprobe der Prothese vor Kratzern geschützt.
►Entfernen Sie den Adapterschutz bevor der Patient den Werkstatt-/An
probebereich verlässt.
5.1.1 Fußhülle aufziehen/entfernen
>Empfohlene Werkzeuge: Wechselhilfe 2C100
1) Den Prothesenfuß in die Fußhülle einschieben.
2) Die Ferse des Prothesenfußes in die Fußhülle drücken, bis sie einrastet.
>Empfohlene Werkzeuge: Wechselhilfe 2C100
1) Die Arretierung der Fußhülle nach hinten drücken und die Ferse des
Prothesenfußes nach oben ziehen.
2) Den Prothesenfuß aus der Fußhülle entfernen.
5.1.2 Grundaufbau
Grundaufbau TT
Ablauf des Grundaufbaus
Benötigte Materialien: Goniometer 662M4, Absatzhöhenmessgerät 743S12,
50:50Lehre 743A80, Aufbaugerät (z.B. L.A.S.A.R. Assembly 743L200 oder
PROS.A. Assembly 743A200)
Das Montieren und Ausrichten der Prothesenkomponenten im Aufbaugerät gemäß
den folgenden Angaben durchführen:
Sagittalebene

Ablauf des Grundaufbaus
  Absatzhöhe: Effektive Absatzhöhe (Absatzhöhe Schuh - Sohlenstärke Vor
fußbereich) +5mm
  Fuß-Außenrotation: ca. 5°
  Vorverlagerung der Prothesenfußmitte zur Aufbaulinie: 30mm
  Den Prothesenfuß und den Prothesenschaft mit Hilfe der ausgewählten Ad
apter verbinden. Dabei die Gebrauchsanweisung der Adapter beachten.
  Die Mitte des Prothesenschafts mit der 50:50 Lehre ermitteln. Den Prothe
senschaft mittig zur Aufbaulinie einordnen.
Schaftflexion: Individuelle Stumpfflexion + 5°
Frontalebene
  Aufbaulinie Prothesenfuß: Zwischen Großzeh und zweitem Zeh
Aufbaulinie Prothesenschaft: Entlang der lateralen Patellakante
  Die Abduktionsstellung oder Adduktionsstellung beachten.
Grundaufbau TF
►Die Angaben in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Prothesenkniegelenks
beachten.
5.1.3 Statischer Aufbau
• Ottobock empfiehlt den Aufbau der Prothese mit Hilfe des
L.A.S.A.R.Posture zu kontrollieren und bei Bedarf anzupassen.
• Bei Bedarf können die Aufbauempfehlungen (TF-Modular-Beinprothe
sen: 646F219*, TT-Modular-Beinprothesen: 646F336*) bei Ottobock an
gefordert werden.
5.1.4 Dynamische Anprobe
• Den Aufbau der Prothese in der Frontalebene und der Sagittalebene an
passen (z.B. durch Winkeländerung oder Verschiebung), um eine opti
male Schrittabwicklung sicherzustellen.
•TT-Versorgungen: Bei der Lastübernahme nach dem Fersenauftritt auf
eine physiologische Kniebewegung in Sagittal- und Frontalebene ach
ten. Eine Bewegung des Kniegelenks nach medial vermeiden. Bewegt
sich das Kniegelenk in der ersten Standphasenhälfte nach medial, dann
den Prothesenfuß nach medial verschieben. Geschieht die Bewegung
nach medial in der zweiten Standphasenhälfte, dann die Außenrotation
des Prothesenfußes reduzieren.
• Den Adapterschutz des Prothesenfußes nach Abschluss der dynami
schen Anprobe und der Gehübungen entfernen.

5.2 Optional: Schaumstoffüberzug montieren
Als lösbare Verbindung zwischen Schaumstoffüberzug und Prothesenfuß
dient ein Verbindungselement (z.B. Verbindungsplatte, Verbindungskappe,
Anschlusskappe, Schaumanschlusskappe).
>Benötigte Materialien: Entfettender Reiniger (z.B. Isopropylalkohol
634A58), Kontaktkleber 636N9 oder Kunststoffkleber 636W17
1) Den Abstand vom Kniedrehpunkt bis zum gewünschten Ende des
Schaumstoffüberzugs messen und den Stauchweg addieren: Bei PE-
Schaum 10mm, bei PUR-Weichschaum 30mm addieren. Bei TF-Pro
thesen den doppelten Stauchweg addieren, weil sowohl über als auch
unter der Knieachse Stauchweg benötigt wird.
2) Den Schaumstoffrohling ablängen und im proximalen Bereich am Pro
thesenschaft einpassen.
3) Den Schaumstoffrohling auf die Prothese ziehen.
4) Das Verbindungselement auf die Fußhülle oder den Prothesenfuß set
zen. Je nach Ausführung rastet das Verbindungselement im Rand ein
oder sitzt am Fußadapter.
5) Den Prothesenfuß an der Prothese montieren.
6) Die Außenkontur des Verbindungselements auf der distalen Schnittflä
che des Schaumstoffrohlings anzeichnen.
7) Den Prothesenfuß demontieren und das Verbindungselement entfernen.
8) Das Verbindungselement mit einem entfettenden Reiniger reinigen.
9) Das Verbindungselement gemäß der angezeichneten Außenkontur auf
die distale Schnittfläche des Schaumstoffrohlings kleben.
10) Die Verklebung trocknen lassen (ca. 10Minuten).
11) Den Prothesenfuß montieren und die kosmetische Außenform anpassen.
Dabei die Kompression durch Überziehstrümpfe oder SuperSkin be
rücksichtigen.
6 Reinigung
1) Das Produkt mit einem feuchten, weichen Tuch reinigen.
2) Das Produkt mit einem weichen Tuch abtrocknen.
3) Die Restfeuchtigkeit an der Luft trocknen lassen.
7 Wartung
►Die Prothesenkomponenten nach den ersten 30Tagen Gebrauch einer
Sichtprüfung und Funktionsprüfung unterziehen.
►Die komplette Prothese während der normalen Konsultation auf Abnut
zung überprüfen.
►Jährliche Sicherheitskontrollen durchführen.

8 Entsorgung
Das Produkt darf nicht überall mit unsortiertem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Eine nicht den Bestimmungen des Verwenderlands entsprechende Entsor
gung kann sich schädlich auf die Umwelt und die Gesundheit auswirken.
Die Hinweise der für das Verwenderland zuständigen Behörde zu
Rückgabe-, Sammel- und Entsorgungsverfahren beachten.
9 Rechtliche Hinweise
Alle rechtlichen Bedingungen unterliegen dem jeweiligen Landesrecht des
Verwenderlandes und können dementsprechend variieren.
9.1 Haftung
Der Hersteller haftet, wenn das Produkt gemäß den Beschreibungen und
Anweisungen in diesem Dokument verwendet wird. Für Schäden, die durch
Nichtbeachtung dieses Dokuments, insbesondere durch unsachgemäße
Verwendung oder unerlaubte Veränderung des Produkts verursacht werden,
haftet der Hersteller nicht.
9.2 CE-Konformität
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der europäischen Richtlinie
93/42/EWG für Medizinprodukte. Aufgrund der Klassifizierungskriterien
nach AnhangIX dieser Richtlinie wurde das Produkt in die KlasseI einge
stuft. Die Konformitätserklärung wurde deshalb vom Hersteller in alleiniger
Verantwortung gemäß AnhangVII der Richtlinie erstellt.

1.1 Construction and Function
The 1C40 C-Walk prosthetic foot is suitable for walking on various surfaces
and for a large range of speeds.
The functional properties of the prosthetic foot are achieved through the car
bon spring elements. The prosthetic foot permits perceptible plantar flexion
at heel strike and a natural rollover movement. Stored energy is released by
the spring elements.
1.2 Combination possibilities
This prosthetic component is compatible with Ottobock's system of modular
connectors. Functionality with components of other manufacturers that have
compatible modular connectors has not been tested.
2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The product is to be used solely for lower limb prosthetic fittings.
2.2 Area of application
Our components perform optimally when paired with appropriate compon
ents based upon weight and mobility grades identifiable by our MOBIS clas
sification information and which have appropriate modular connectors.

2.4 Service life

This product has been tested by the manufacturer with 2 million load cycles
according to ISO 10328. Depending on the patient's activity level, this cor
responds to a service life of 2 to 3 years.

The product is a wear part, which means it is subject to normal wear and
tear.

5.1 Alignment
INFORMATION
There is a plastic adapter cover on the proximal connection of the prosthet
ic foot. This protects the connecting section from scratches during the
alignment and trial fitting.
►Remove the adapter cover before the patient leaves the workshop/fit
ting area.

5.1.1 Applying/removing the footshell
>Recommended tools: 2C100 changing device
1) Slide the prosthetic foot into the footshell.
2) Press the heel of the prosthetic foot into the footshell until it engages.
>Recommended tools: 2C100 changing device
1) Push the lock of the footshell to the rear and pull up the heel of the pros
thetic foot.
2) Remove the prosthetic foot from the footshell.
5.1.2 Bench Alignment
TT bench alignment
Bench alignment process
Required materials: 662M4 goniometer, 743S12 heel height measuring apparatus,
743A80 50:50gauge, alignment apparatus (e.g.743L200 L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or
743A200 PROS.A. Assembly)
Perform the assembly and alignment of the prosthetic components in the alignment
apparatus according to the following specifications:
Sagittal plane
  Heel height: Effective heel height (shoe heel height - sole thickness of fore
foot) +5mm
  Exterior foot rotation: approx. 5°
  Anterior placement, middle of the prosthetic foot to the alignment reference
line: 30mm
  Connect the prosthetic foot and prosthetic socket using the chosen adapters.
The instructions for use of the adapters must be observed.
  Determine the centre of the prosthetic socket with the 50:50 gauge. Align the
prosthetic socket centrally to the alignment reference line.
Socket flexion: Individual residual limb flexion +5°
Frontal plane
  Alignment reference line of prosthetic foot: between big toe and second
toe
Alignment reference line of prosthetic socket: along the lateral patella
edge
  Observe the abduction or adduction position.
TF bench alignment
►Observe the information in the prosthetic knee joint instructions for use.
5.1.3 Static Alignment
• Ottobock recommends checking the alignment of the prosthesis using
the L.A.S.A.R.Posture and adapting it as needed.

• If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg pros
theses: 646F219*, TT modular leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be
requested from Ottobock.
5.1.4 Dynamic Trial Fitting
• Adapt the alignment of the prosthesis in the frontal plane and the sagittal
plane (e.g.by making angle or slide adjustments) to ensure an optimum
gait pattern.
•TT fittings:Make sure that physiological knee movement in the sagittal
and frontal plane is achieved when the leg begins to bear weight after
the heel strike. Avoid medial movement of the knee joint. If the knee joint
moves in the medial direction in the first half of the stance phase, move
the prosthetic foot in the medial direction. If the medial movement occurs
in the second half of the stance phase, reduce the exterior rotation of the
prosthetic foot.
• Remove the adapter cover from the prosthetic foot after completion of
the dynamic trial fitting and gait training exercises.
5.2 Optional: Installing the foam cover
A connecting element (such asa connection plate, connection cap or foam
connection cap) provides a detachable connection between the foam cover
and the prosthetic foot.
>Required materials: Degreasing cleaner (e.g.634A58 isopropyl alco
hol), 636N9 contact adhesive or 636W17 plastic adhesive
1) Measure the distance from the knee rotation point to the desired end of
the foam cover and add the compression allowance: 10mm for poly
ethylene foam, 30mm for polyurethane soft foam. For TF prostheses,
add twice the compression allowance because a compression allowance

2) Cut the pre-shaped foam cover to length and fit it in the proximal area on
the prosthetic socket.
3) Pull the foam cover over the prosthesis.
4) Set the connecting element onto the footshell or prosthetic foot. Depend
ing on the version, the connecting element engages in the edge or sits
on the foot adapter.
5) Mount the prosthetic foot on the prosthesis.
6) Mark the outer contour of the connecting element on the distal face of
the foam cover.
7) Dismount the prosthetic foot and remove the connecting element.
8) Clean the connecting element using a degreasing cleaner.

9) Glue the connecting element onto the distal face of the foam cover
according to the marked outer contour.
10) Let the glue dry (approx. 10minutes).
11) Mount the prosthetic foot and adapt the exterior cosmetic cover shape.
Take into account compression due to cosmetic stockings or SuperSkin.
6 Cleaning
1) Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth.
2) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
3) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
7 Maintenance
►A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components
should be performed after the first 30days of use.
►Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.
►Conduct annual safety inspections.
8 Disposal
This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste in all juris
dictions. Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of the coun
try where the product is used may have a detrimental impact on health and
the environment. Please observe the information provided by the responsible

1.1 Conception et fonctionnement
Le pied prothétique C-Walk 1C40 convient pour la marche sur différents ter
rains et dans une large plage de vitesses.
Les propriétés fonctionnelles du pied prothétique sont obtenues grâce à des
lames en carbone. Ce pied prothétique permet une flexion plantaire percep
tible à la pose du talon et un déroulé naturel. Les lames restituent l’énergie
emmagasinée.
1.2 Combinaisons possibles
Ce composant prothétique est compatible avec le système modulaire
Ottobock. Le fonctionnement avec des composants d’autres fabricants dis
posant de connecteurs modulaires compatibles n’a pas été testé.

Conformément à la norme ISO10328, le fabricant a contrôlé le produit en le
soumettant à 2millions de cycles de charge. Ceci correspond, en fonction
