system. The IJ65/IJ75/IJ85 is the result of the expertise and

The IJ65/IJ75/IJ85 has many capabilities that will be important

only,and 7,500itemsperhourindynamicscalemode),theIJ65/
IJ75/IJ85isdesignedtobeauser friendly machinethatcanfit
into any working environment with its innovative and attractive
design, simple user settings and very low noise level. The high
volumecapacityandsealedinkcartridgemakesiteasyandsafe
tohandle,andtheuserinterfaceisparticularlyclearwithagraphic
interface,popupmenusand10 memoriestostorefavoritejobs.
TheIJ65/IJ75/IJ85 is adaptable andas such can handlemany
differenttypesofmail.Theoptionalfeedercanbeusedtoprocess,
inacontinuouscycle,itemsofdifferentsizes(rangingfromDLto
C4portraitformat)andthickitems(upto16 mm),withautomatic
imprintshift.Forthickermailitemsorpackages,adhesivelabels
canbeautomaticallydispensed.
The IJ65/IJ75/IJ85 is connectable. It can exchange data with
Neopost scales and printers in order to provide optimal mail
processingandreporting.
Finally, the IJ65/IJ75/IJ85 is a unique communication tool for

STANDARD
In order to comply with standard NFEN60950, this equipment
should be connected to installations in accordance with the
applicable building trade standards. As regards overcurrent
protection of the internal wiring, a two-pole 5 amp protection is
required.Thisequipmentisinaccordancewithstandard55022,
Class A.
MODEM APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS
Thisequipmentcontainsamodemwhichhasbeenapprovedin
accordance with Council Decision 98/482/EC-CTR21 for pan-
European single terminal connection to the Public Switched
TelephoneNetwork(PSTN).However,duetodifferencesbetween
individualPSTNsprovidedindifferentcountries,theapprovaldoes
not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance of successful
operationoneveryPSTNnetworkterminationpoint.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment
supplierinthefirstinstance.
INSTALLATION
Themainsplugonthisequipmentisintendedtoserveasthedevice
forisolationofthemainssupply.Theequipmentshouldbeinstalled
incloseproximitytoeasilyaccessiblepowersupplyandtelephone
sockets.

This will avoid keeping the ink cartridge in the
unprotected printing position (which may cause the

1.2 Installation
1.2.1 Preparation of the franking machine
The franking machine should be installed on a flat horizontal
surface.
Allowsufficientfreespaceasfollows:
-abovethemachinetoenabletheopeningofthecovers
-at the rearfor the machinecooling.
With the ON/OFF switch in the “ OFF ”position, connect the
power cord to the rear of the machine and to a mains outlet.
Connectthetelephonelinkcabletothemodemsocketattherear
ofthemachinetoatelephoneconnector,for Credifonrecrediting
system(CFON)connection.
Forsecuritypurposes,pleaseensurethatalltheitemsare
correctlyassembled prior to switchon the configuration.
1.2.2 Installation with the feed platform
Assemblethefeedplatformwiththefrankingmachine.
Prior to moving the whole machine, you must separate
the franking machine from the feed platform.

- Alignthefeederwiththefrankingmachine;
- Pushthe feedertowardsthemachine, takingcaretokeep the
centeringpin aligned asindicated;
- Threadthefeederscrewinthefrankingmachine.Then,usingthe
knurledknob,pushandscrewtolock(ifthetwodevicesarenot
closing properly, slightly rotate the gear protruding from the
feederandrepeattheoperation).

1.2.4 Installation of the dynamic scale (optional)
The equipment including a dynamic scale (the whole
system representing approximately 55 kg) requires the
use of a steady and rigid table, in order to prevent any
weighingproblem.Besurenottoinstallthemachineinan
area exposed to the sunlight or to draughts.
- Alignthedynamicscale with the frankingmachine;
- Pushthedynamicscaletowardsthemachine,takingcaretokeep
thecenteringpinalignedasindicated;
- Threadthedynamicscalescrewinthe frankingmachine.Then,
usingtheknurledtighteningknob,pushandscrewtolock(ifthe
two devices are not closing properly, slightly rotate the gear
protrudingfromthedynamicscaleandrepeattheoperation).

When the whole system needs to be shifted manually, the
frankingmachine,thedynamicscale,thefeederandtheplatform
should be separated from one another.
When the machine is to be moved using any mechanical
